swap out or remove google splash logo? - Google Pixel 2 XL Questions & Answers

wondering if I can swap out or remove the "google" splash logo when starting the device on the google pixel 2 XL?
If so, how? is it safe to do? I am doing it for the company that I use the phone for.
I have my reasons and they're not aesthetics.

The white Google logo that pops up when powering on the device is permanent and cannot be altered. You could try to extract the bootloader and modify it but your modified bootloader will, with near 100% certainty, brick the unit.
The boot animation following the logo can be changed however as that is part of Android rather than the device-level firmware.

How remove splash boot?

Is any way to remove boot splash to have a view of all android boot process?
Not yet, perhaps with S-OFF you might be able to do this...

[Q] twrp help(please respond)

You know how that blue fire logo you get on boot can I remove that or hide that?
You can't. That's the bootloader. Unless you care to make your own with a different image.

Bootloader

I'm curious to find out if I can get the N7 boot splash logo (not the boot animation) to landscape orientation like the Nexus 10? For an in dash hardwired install. Any Ideas out here would be greatly appreciated
The logo is within secure boot process and can not be modified.

I knew it. Sigh

[How To] Camouflage/Hide "N/A" on unlocked bootloader

Well I guess it is pretty obvious but as the "N/A" on boot is white, you just have to use a boot logo which is white. I made one for the OCDs among us and it masks the "N/A" perfectly. (It is simply the motorola logo but in negative)
Install: Boot into bootloader
fastboot flash logo motowhite.bin
fastboot reboot
Greetings
thanks, that n/a was killing me... i like how its masked by white!
Sorry for my nood question.
I'm using Android Open Source Project 9 by Alberto97.
I have black screen on boot with white words about unlocked bootloader
and that system will start after 5 seconds.
There is also yellow/orange link to motorola site.
Will this logo screen hide that all?

What is the very first pre-boot screen called, and can I change it?

When I power on my HTC One M9/himaul, the first screen I see has the HTC logo and (now) the S-OFF red text disclaimer about it being a developer build. I'm wondering if I can change this screen.
The trouble is, I don't know what to Google. I can't call it the boot screen, because that usually refers to the eg. LineageOS animated splash with the moving circles. I can't think of what else to call it.
If it's not possible to change, that's fine, but I'd still like to know what it's called.
AFAIK you can only do this when you're s-off and it has to be done on firmware level (not sure about the last part).
Here it's done to an older model, but the steps should be the same, just need the correct files.
