Question SOLVED Faulty root access on Xiaomi Eu rom - Xiaomi Poco F3 / Xiaomi Mi 11X / Redmi K40

I cleanly installed Xiaomi Eu rom, then got root access by flashing Magisk 24.3. The installation went smoothly. According to the Root Checker app, I have root access on my device. But when I try to modify a file in the system folder with the Root Explorer app, it won't let me do it and gives me an error message.

I don't know if I've missed something or I'm uninformed, but is it not possible anymore (or never was) to modify system files in Miui based roms?

Hmm... Try using FX File Manager
I highly recommend this File Manager!

Did you flash magisk directly using twrp? If so, that might be the problem.

Yes I have flashed it using twrp and also from fastboot mode.
Never mind, I fixed it flashing (using TWRP) the MAKERW-STABLE-4.1.11.zip file from this thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-script-to-install-all-roms-via-twrp.4405061/

[Q] Stuck on Boot Animation after flashing SuperSU on ResurrectionRemix ROM

ROM: ResurrectionRemix-M-v5.7.1-20160715-t0lte
SuperSU: https://download.chainfire.eu/969/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.76-20160630161323.zip?retrieve_file=1
Recovery: ClockWorkMod
So, I probably did something dumb and I'm stuck on the boot animation which loops forever. I can get into Recovery and Bootloader. I previously had a working install of the ROM listed above but I thought I needed to regain root (apparently it is already rooted but that was turned off or something) so I downloaded the SuperSU file to the device and rebooted into Recovery. I installed the SuperSU and rebooted but now I have the problem. Please advice. This is my first time ever using a custom ROM and I had it working fine before I did this to myself...

I suggest flashing TWRP as CWM has not been updated for a long time. Once TWRP is on the phone, perform a full system wipe and re-install a custom ROM.

Thank you for your reply!
I was unaware that CWM was so out of date; it did work well before I tried to root an already rooted ROM. But I will try TWRP in any case. Still, I was hoping to solve this issue without wiping/reinstalling everything as I have data I want to preserve. If there is no way out of this mess except that, I will use ADB to get what data I can, then reinstall.

Sounds like you have a vendor rom installed. If you don't care about unlocked bootloader and root (loosing several safety features), install the rom from xiaomi.eu. If you want to have a locked device with original rom, install the chinese rom from http://en.miui.com/extra.php?mod=download/rom&fid=115. You will find installation manuals here in the forum.
I'm in the same situation. Mine comes with vendor rom. To restore the original rom you have to unlock your bootloader in the oficial xiaomi page. Takes form 3 to 10 days... if they aprove it... I'm waiting...
How can the vendor install his own rom without ask and we have to do all this process??
If you install the official rom you probably don't need to unlock. Simply boot it in fastboot mode and flash it with miflash. Either Chinese Global 8.0.18.0 or Chinese Developer.
See the download page for fastboot on http://en.miui.com/a-234.html
I haven't tested this way, as I had the official firmware on mine
Thank for the reply guys 😀 , I try to flash China global original ROM with miflash.
Miflash come out with error, stating that unable to find .bat file.
What should I do?
This phone is amazing, now I just need to fix the bloatware.
Did you download the right file?
It should be a .zip file which has several .bat files in it. You need to extract the zip file into some folder first, before you can flash it. See step 4 for a screenshot in the flashing guide on how it should look.
Also, the chinese official ROM has several chinese only apps preinstalled and no google store. You need to add google after the successful flash. Some chinese apps can not be uninstalled.

Question TWRP

I just installed twrp,
Wiped data, internal, meta data
now I can't transfer the ROM file to my internal

Have you formatted (not wiped) the data?
Reflash stock ROM using MiFlash tool and reinstall TWRP. Do not wipe anything....just flash the ROM u want, Format data (yes), reboot to TWRP, reboot to system.
wiped hahaha

The right steps are:
1 fastboot boot twrp.img
2 Flash rom with inject twrp checked
3 Reboot to recovery
4 Flash Magisk ( if required) else
5 Format data by typing yes
6 Reboot to system
U mean detailed steps, not the right one because my way is right too but not so....detailed lol
Don't ever format data until you're done flashing whatever ROM you're flashing or you'll have issues. If you do you'll have to reboot to system again then reboot back into TWRP, then you should be good again. Use a USB C Flash Drive to put all of your important stuff on including the ROM you're flashing as it's much easier.

Question FAILED (remote: '(recovery_a) No such partition')

Hello, I've always installed custom rom, and recovey in well f3, overnight, I'm having problems, whenever there's an updated miui I install it through my flash to test, when installing a recovery, it started to give this error in the partition, being A or B, when changing partitions and being able to install a recovey, the ROM simply disappears, as if it had nothing, anyone already had the problem?, I remember that when installing a recovery or ROM it never gave this partition error.

I've had a similar problem. Try installing any rom through sideloading it. Boot to system then flash recovery again and your good to go.

always booting on fastboot

Mi 9 SE - locked bootloader after flashing the wrong ROM

Hello.
I have a problem with the purchased used Xiaomi Mi 9 SE.
I bought the phone and it had an unlocked Bootloader, it was not possible to pay with it using NFC.
The phone was probably ROM 12.0.XXX I think Global.
I downloaded the Fastboot 12.5.1 EU ROM and flashed it using MiFlash.
When uploading, I checked the option - clean all and lock
The upload went smoothly and was successful.
Unfortunately, after rebooting the phone enters recovery mode and it is looped like this, it displays the message:
This MIUI version can't be installed on this device :-(
I can enter fastboot and try to flash another Rom but then I get an error that the phone is locked.
Please, help me with this issue, I don't know what to do, is it possible to fix it? ? ?
I know there are people here with really great knowledge, please help. :-(

I tried to flash the ROM Global 12.0.1 again but I get the error as above
I have Miflash pro 7.3.706
Try to enter fastboot mode and flash the ROM using the flash_all script that's insideof the compressed rom by way of windows cmd or linux terminal.
Just extract the rom file until you see the folder structure there with all images and then look for a how to flash roms using fastboot. It way easier than that miui flash thing
