Question Battery life on android 13 beta. - Google Pixel 6 Pro

Im on android 13 beta.
I m charging phone 2 times per day.
I know is too early for some things because is beta version.
How battery life going at your pixel with android 13?

It's pretty bad my phone was fully charged and was listing to the radio out in the garden fence painting via WiFi and within few hours I here the low battery beep thought to myself it can't be flat looked and was on 9% I'm on 13 B3 latest hope they issue hotfix fast

Thought it was me, but yeah it drains very fast.

The a13b3 runs smoothly but drains crazy

Same thing here. Battery seems to drain much faster on A13B3 than it has on the previous builds.
I didn't spam press anything and it just triple posted my comment... Anyone with higher permissions can remove those duplicate posts.

Οk then so , it's not just me..
Keep patient...

Little bit smoother!

I'm on A13b3. This is sitting untouched overnight. I've also noticed it feels warm even without use.

I am not on A13 Beta, but have experienced abysmal battery life ever since updating to March update (A12L), April/May/June updates didn't change anything in that negative regard. Before, the phone barely lasted the day - since March, I have to top up every day. Reset didn't help. Never had those problems with my P4 XL. Right now, my P6 Pro is reminding me of my P3 - and not in a good way. To have massive battery anxiety throughout the day is not something I expected from a flagship phone with a 5000 mah battery.

(TIP)Possible battery drain solution for LTE devices.

Like many here I've been having battery drain issues since the day I purchased the Galaxy Nexus. I also purchased the extended battery since day one. I've been reading through every single forum on how to reduce the battery drain and none seems to have worked for me. I've tried switching to wifi, 3g only, no email push, no google+, etc and my phone at 100% battery would lose almost 30% within 2 hours idling. Then I was looking at the settings and I came across the Developer Options/Background process limit and limited my background process from Standard to At most limit to 1 process and my battery has improved tremendously. Prior to making the change the Android OS was using 80+ % on idle (Wifi or 3g didn't make a difference), now it's uses around 20 or less. On idle I'm seeing around 4% or less an hour vs 15% battery drain.
Please remember this may or may not solve YOUR battery drain, but it has definitely helped mine and I just wanted to share with the community on what else you can try.
I've had pretty good results with my battery. I think some of ya'll are either just playing around with it too much or have some energy-sucking apps out there.

Or that you don't have a connection to the data network.
Just say'n. (I do the same thing at night)
I had Wi-fi enabled for 12 hours, and the battery only dropped to around 85%. I have been on 4G for 5 hours now, and the battery is now down to 13%. I'm going to use a Wi-fi/3G combination tomorrow. Oh and I also have my phone rooted/underclocked to 900Mhz.

I've been using it for 3 days and have had no issues. Anyways its as easy as checking the standard limit if you ever wanted to revert back.

[Q] Battery life on CM10

I'm really curious to know what the battery life on CM10 is since I used to have FF18 and I have to say that it wasn't as great as I expected it. Right now I downgraded to EL29, mainly bc of battery consumption but I want to know other people's experience with CM10.
The cm 10 battery life will vary..for Me Jb battery life is fine..with a little effort it is very possible to get good battery life..was it as good as ICS.?.honestly no..but ICS has source for our device and source for in on our device hasn't came

I barely even use it AT ALL, and battery is at 32% after less than 10hrs. Also, playing Bad Piggies for 30mins, and it'll go from a full charge to 12%.
ICS wasn't any better for me either, but I think JB is a tad worse...
im running nightlies from phantomphreak and im getting 13-15 hrs average. thats with moderate usage. best thing you can do is set it to 800mhz max and conservative. everything still perfectly smooth for me
heres my battery life with the latest nightly from phantom freak. cpu set at 800mhz max with pegasusq governor
absolutely terrible lol i gotta charge it like 2-3 times a day

[Q] Is this typical battery performance?

I'm new to the Verizon Galaxy Nexus (Toro), I just switched from a Thunderbolt.
So here's the issue: I am seeing much quicker battery drain than I would expect when running Carbon 1.1 (Android 4.2.2) or Carbon 1.0 (4.2.1). I'm going to try franco kernel today. Here are some screens showing stats. I replaced the stock battery (person who sold it said it wasn't holding charge) with Anker battery. I also disabled NFC wondering if maybe this battery doesn't support it.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, maybe I missed something with installing the rom with this phone, as I said before, I am new to the Nexus.
You might can squeeze a little more, but </= 2 hours screen on time is generally what you can expect.
Seems pretty normal to me. With almost an hour of onscreen time 53% after almost 7 hours is pretty good.
Alright, thanks for the input. Sort of not what I expected, as this isn't much better battery life than my TB. Would anyone expect an improvement using just 3G? I don't typically use data on my phone anyone, as at home and at work I have wifi

Not a substantial one, no, but minimal improvement maybe.
EDIT: Unless the majority of your battery drain is coming from data usage.. Torrenting and such..
I somehow noticed a much better battery life in 4.2.2 than 4.2.1
I am running ParanoidAndroid 15th Feb release and AK 691 Pirates on my maguro.
I have disabled sync and only sync mails 2-3 times a day and complete sync once.
And screen on time between 2.5 to 3hrs is normal for the GNex.

Too fast battery drain

Hello,
I have my Nexus 5x since 2016 and I change the battery 3 months ago. Despite this, all days I have to charge the phone before the end of the day. In settings, I see that the screen is use approximatively 2 hours before shutting down. So that's not enough ! Do you have an idea about this issue ? I repeat that my battery is a new one...

It does not have to be battery related, it could be a software or hardware issue as well.
It is possible that some app keeps the phone awake.
One possible solution to that is to use an app ( I use GSam Battery Monitor Pro) to find out what is draining the battery.
If that does not give a clear answer then you could factory reset the phone and see if that improves the situation.
If that also doesn't help then you could have a hardware issue. It happens on some phones, I have a (spare) Nexus 5X here that also drains the battery while sitting idle.
I just use it for experiments and keep it on the charger all day
what SoT were u getting when u first changed the battery?
considering normal SoT time for n5x is around 3-4 hours, plus (im guessing) cheaper 3rd party battery, these numbers wouldnt surprise me.
also, we know nothing about what apps you have installed or what android you're using.
Hello,
I installed a new 2700 mAh battery like the original. I don't us many apps just have social medias, web browsing and youtube... I confirm : today shutting down at 5 PM, less than 2 hours of SoT

I'm not sure if it's specific to lineage os, but if you scroll down on the battery settings page, it may show the battery use % for each app at the bottom. If that's there, try using your device as normal for a day, then check that when it gets down to 5% or so and see what's eating all your battery.

Android 9 or Android 10?

Hi, guys!
I'm on A10 M3.0 stable on my Tencent version, but the battery drain is so much...; playing Pubg 90hz is draining like 15% each match of 25min. I did a factory reset. Nothing changes.
So I'm planning to return to A9 for now even losing gestures and some other things...
Which are you using? Your experiences? Your recommendations?
What are the advantages of each one?
I would like to discuss that because, as me, I'm sure we have more mates doubting about it at this time when A10 is not 100% perfect yet.
All you have to do is remove Facebook app and stop it's service from setting application the battery will be good
I would stay with Android 9. When I updated to Android 10 I had many issues. Over heating, poor battery life, games kept crashing. Won't lie, Android 10 did speed the phone up which was nice, the new icons looked nice too. But overall android 9 is better on my opinion

Did it. But anyway... I was spoken with people with A9 and my main prob is PUBG at 90hz, it's draining a lot of battery.. but they have the same prob, so...
In general, in Beta 11 it's fine. This is my usage. Stock kernel (thinking to put again Kirisakura... but let's see). I wanna say PUBG usage is at 90hz, not 60hz.
I don't use 90 hz with playing always use 60hz and no problems at all in general if you use 90 or 120hz you will lose more battery even if you don't play a game if you think about battery time you have to stay on 60hz

But in general view, if you have your system in 120hz-90-60hz it will change, but 120->60 won't be +100% of time because they are half fps.
However, in [email protected] is almost double than @60fps...
weird. i have no issues with android 10. it can be modded even more than android 9, and battery life is okay. also no overheating for me.
