Question Funtouch: chinese and global?? - Vivo X80 Pro

Hi, I bought a X80Pro and has a funtouch ROM. Does it exist a chinese and a global version? My phone has all the language but I had to install all the Google matters by myself. If I have reduced version of the ROM does somebody know where to find a Global ROM to flash? Thnks

Funtouch is the global ROM. The Chinese ROM is Origin OS Ocean. Although you may have to download and install your choice of Google apps from the Playstore, they will all work. On the CN version a few Google functions, such as autobackup, Android Auto, etc., won't work.

You are right, but I know they are going to expand the selling in Europe. I don't think they are going to sell it with a ROM without Android auto, for example.

Today the price was announced for germany: 1300€ (equals 1350$). And this for the 12/256 GB version...
Its like a bad joke, if you see that you can import the 12/256 version from China for under 900€.

In reality there are some small differences: it does not work Android Auto and Google bkp. I did try to change the standard lancher and it does not work. I would like to flash the standard Global Android ROM

Sounds strange to me, I thought global is global. Like everyone knows global was only India with the last models of Vivo phones.
I'm very excited to get the x80 pro here in Europe.
Hope funtouch is as good as Origin os is but without the few points which are missing in origin os.

YI have the same doubt, I really like the X80 pro but in my country Colombia they launch it tonight and it will come at a price of $6,500,000 That is equivalent to 1,500 USD while the Chinese version costs about 850 USD. Is Color OS or Funtouch OS better? Could I change from Color OS ROM to Funtouch OS ROM? Thank you.

If you mean Origin Ocean instead of ColorOs, then no you can't switch between them (and it will maybe take a long time until someone finds a reliable way to switch)
As far as I know noone even found yet how to unlock the bootloader on the x80 pro
Also if it's anything like the x70 pro+, if you're gonna use the chinese rom, some stuff in the phone will stay in chinese even if the phone is set to be in english
and you can't (at least yet) get all the normal apps people use outside of china, to behave well enough on the chinese rom
overall I wouldn't say vivo flagships are a good investment (at least currently) if you're going to want to really use your phone beside basic use

tohanov said:
LI'm sorry if you're right, Origin OS, what a pity, does it mean that I won't be able to use the equipment properly? How is the customization layer of Origin OS in terms of performance, I have read a little And they say it gets hotter than the Funtouch OS version and the camera is not as good as the global version, it's strange why it should have the same performance since that's its main attraction.

Hello, guys. Please note that Android in Origin version will never be updated, NEVER!!! it's an official reply from Global Vivo customer support. So now you can decide which version to buy - Origin or Funtouch)))

Doesn't make sense. You misunderstood what they mean.

Here what the Global customer support wrote: Thank you so much for your email and we are very sorry for the delayed reply. According to your email, we are sorry for the inconvenience. At present, it is confirmed that the Chinese version has not promised to upgrade to Android 13. OriginOS Ocean is a smartphone operating system that is deeply optimized, customized and developed based on the Android system. Due to the different hardware capabilities and configurations of each model, some models will continue to use the original Android version.

Can this be applied to global version? When I first installed the beta I wasn't not sure which version I installed. My phone had an entirely different look to it. But it worked fine. Outside the normal beta bugs. I then reinstalled the roll back firmware then reinstalled the beta and now the phone is no different looking than reg android 12. So can this be installed over w20?

[Q] Xperia ZL C6503 branded to unbranded

Hello, i bought one Xperia ZL (ZQ here in Brazil). Its price was amazing considering the brazilian smartphones prices, i have paid R$ 900,00 (about U$ 389.00), when normally it costs in here R$ 1700,00 (about U$ 734.00), and i am very happy that was possible to buy such smartphone for this price.
Well, the fact is that it is unlocked but it is branded, and i believe that it has a lot of the crap that the TIM (one of the mobiles service provider) installs in it.
The question is, is there one way to install the generic unbraded firmware in it? I want to keep it as original as possible, i don't want to root it and i want to keep receiving the original updates from sony.
you won't be able to install any other ROM without rooting your phone and AFAIK most of the times you can receive original updates from sony even if your phone is rooted.

So do not be lacy when you get back translate the info and the Title.

Here is your original Spanish Question translated with Googles
Title: Galaxy Tab3 10.1 P5210 Wifi would not turn on
Friends I have a problem when I try to activate the Wifi, it does not. button returns. I've done hard reset, Ya official Rom update Kit Kat through android., And verfique if you have internal connectors all connected and nothing .... I can not find any help on Google ... no one has that problem ... It will be problem Factory ???? HELP !!!!!
And yes RED are the mistake made by google but still understandably.
My Answer
This problem is showing up to many that has change to KK 4.4.2 using cellphone models TAB 3 7" and 8". It usually happens to them when they go back to 4.4.2. It is the first time I see some one with a P5210.
This is my personal opinion: "I believe KK-4.4.2 is worthless piece of garbage, that only create issues. And watch out it will get worst with new Future Android releases due to Google's intention in perform a Total SELinix Enforce."
What I will do if I am you?
I will download my exact P210 Stock Rom from Samsung or Sammobile , And Odin back to factory. Yes the one that the device came with. You should had written the info in some place. The fact is that most 4,2,2 P5210 Stock Rom should work. But since you have a BIG issue with wifi I will stick to my Original!
Now stop been lacy and use google to translate my English response.
PD. When I call you "lacy" is in a lovely manners, "cariñosamente""
Thanks for the respuesta.Yo and did the downgrade to 4.2.2. and still not responding. I did it through Odin, and nothing. Not if all 4.2.2 roms from different countries will be the same. But thanks for taking the time to answer.

I have no idea where that series (6EP), LG did not know where it is, because they do not sell it sells amazon.
What version of Android are you currently on? and is it stock 'factory' rom?
Those codes are usually specific to country/ carrier/ and even sometimes distributor.
Updates are usually controlled by these factors.
For example, i am in Netherlands with Vodafone, i may only recieve an update when its available for my region and also my operator,
You can ofcourse download a .kdz from somewhere here on Xda, for the update version you want and install it via LG Software (much faster than waiting)
I came with the V20h-eur-XX, now I installed via KDZ V30b stock.
And if it's faster, but I fly behind the ear, knowing where it is and is not updated.
Sorry my english is the google traductor

Couldn't understand what you were trying to say. I'm portuguese, so I understand spanish.
Having you flashed marshmallow kdz, do you have the stock recovery? And with that kdz installed, will you get OTA updates? If you need it, I will write in Portuguese because my spanish writing is not as good as my speech.
Thank you

Update an old HTC One M9 to Nougat

Hi, everyone. Just bought a old HTC One M9 last week. This one was 1.32.502.9 and i was trying to update to the latest Android version. It's an AT&T device, i'm from Mexico, so it was a pain in the ass to uptade it, even with RUU.
I'm wondering, right now, after a lot of troubles, i did update to 1.32.501.31, i want to get Nougat, so i need to get ALL the previous updates or just get the 3.38.502.31> 3.38.502.41>4.27.502.7 in order to get 4.30.617.12?
It's a real situation right here, because, i needed a lot of time just to get the 1.32.502.31, right now i'm downloading the next two, 2.6.502.16 and 2.11.502.18, but it's gonna be another trouble to get 2.11.502.21 . Even HTC, and AT&T they doesn't had those RUU, so i'm going to stuck in there again.
Thanks to that guy cIsA because in his Android File Host profile i got those RUU.
Saludos

AT&T restricts the ability to receive OTAs on the M9. You need an AT&T sim card of want OTAs for an AT&T branded M9.
Be aware that unlike an OTA RUUs actually contain the whole firmware including the system. Therefore, there's no need to flash every existing version. You can directly flash the latest one. The only exception are those RUUs that use newer encryption keys than your current firmware. In other words, you can't use 2.x, 3.x or 4.x RUUs on a phone with firmware 1.x. The same applies to 4.x RUUs and phones with firmware 2.x or 3.x. For updating the encryption keys you actually need to install the corresponding OTA.

Update: good news. Now i' am at 2.11.502.18, but there is seven updates more ahead.
I don't understand what are you trying to tell me with that. I have a basic knowledge about this all. I'm considering the proposal that they made me, to install the Developer ed, but i don't know if it is a difficult process.
You're flashing one RUU after the other. That's unnecessary und just a waste of time (not to mention the waste of bandwith that is needed for downloading all the RUUs).
OTAs are incremental and you need to flash them in the correct order. However, that doesn't apply to RUUs. You can directly flash the latest 3.x RUU since you're using firmware 2.x at the moment.
Since RUUs are encrypted and the encryption keys changed between firmware 3.x and 4.x you won't be able to flash a 4.x RUU, though. You need the corresponding OTA for that purpose since it contains the new encryption keys. Unlike RUUs, OTAs aren't encrypted.
Edit: There's a guide for converting your phone to the dev edition. You can find it in the ReadMe thread. The process isn't that difficult.
