LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
Base source code is available in the LineageOS GitHub repo.
If you would like to contribute to the upstream LineageOS project, please visit our Gerrit Code Review.
If you would like to contribute to LineageOS for this device, please see the source code listed below.

Simpler instructions(?):
- H932: unlock bootloader here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/3842550/
- All others: unlock bootloader here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/3790500/page-10#post-76584629
- For all other devices, I highly recommend staying on US998/H930/H930DS/V300K firmware.
After bootloader unlock, do something to update to stock Pie first, be it LG UP or TWRP zip. KDZ seems to be more stable, however. Do NOT update recovery when doing this, and immediately reboot to recovery afterwards.
Then literally just go install the ROM in a recovery of your choice. LineageOS recovery strongly recommended as shown in the guide.

I tried with Google Camera and Gcam. All same. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thanks everyone for all the great ROMs, especially the LineageOS ROMs. Unfortunately, it's time to retire my V30 since my T-Mobile is now requiring VoIP. Loved this phone and I'm sad to have to switch. Thanks again for keeping this thing feeling fast and fresh, but never being able to do VoIP on a custom ROM means it's time to buy something new.

My GCam works. Seems the LOS camera does not have multiple camera functions at all?
There's a specific gcam build for V30 in the telegram chat which is posted somewhere on this forum that I don't remember where.

New build: 20220714
- July security patch
- Fingerprint changed back to stock Pie, since using Oreo fingerprint didn't actually pass SafetyNet
Available through the built-in updater or at DL link in OP.

For anyone interested; wide-angle camera works with GCAM_8.4.400.42.XX_SHAMIM_V21

New build: 20220721
- SELinux is now enforcing
- Build fingerprint is back to Oreo.
- As a result of the above, SafetyNet is fully passing without Magisk!
- Call recording is enabled where legal (untested, because it is illegal where I live)
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- I am not a security expert.
- This is a major update, and Enforcing may break some things (nothing permanent). Make a TWRP backup as always.
- Registering a new fingerprint is broken in this build. Will be fixed next build.
- You may need to reinstall all Google apps. This seemed to constantly break whenever I changed a policy, and while reinstalling gapps fixed it, other Google-based apps broke as a result. Other apps appear unaffected at this time.
Available through the built-in updater or at DL link in OP. (I highly suggest not using the built-in updater this time, however, with enforcing and all.)

Amazing to see an enforcing AOSP ROM after so long(that too one which is being regularly updated). Thanks a lot !

New build: 20220722
- Fixed fingerprint registration
- Fixed Wi-Fi issues (files taken from LG V40)
I'll be going back to monthly build schedule after this
Available through the built-in updater or at DL link in OP.

New build: 20220810
Changelog:
- August security patch merged
- ARCore now supported (thanks LG for doing it weirdly)
- Fully implemented thermal-engine. This may improve battery, but I don't know. joan is weird and it's different every damn time
- Some improvements to fingerprint sensor randomly cutting off
- Try to fix NFC randomly cutting off
Available through the built-in updater or at DL link in OP.

Fantastic, thank you very much for bringing android 11 to this rather old device. However after clean wiping and flashing the 0810 version I couldn't use wifi at all (the mac address has become unavailable, device name and phone number unknown). The system UI also crashes from time to time (I think because of the unavailable wifi). The mobile network seems to work just fine though. I tried restoring modem and efs from a backup but couldn't solve the problem. Currently downloading the 0722 version to test if it work, I will update if I could fix this myself. Also the system's boot time seems to be quite long (1~2 minutes each) in comparison to the previous LOS 16.1 on the same device?

Release note:
New builds (after 2017/1/15) uses F2FS backported from 4.10 kernel, you may meet compatibility problems such as deadlocks, if you do, flash TWRP provided in OP and choose "Wipe -> Format Data" to format(not just wipe) your /data partition, this will clean the entire /data partition, including the emulated sdcard, so don't forget to backup your data before. After that, your data partition will be formatted into ext4, if you want to keep using f2fs, just convert fs type normally in TWRP.
For oneplus3, my unofficial TWRP is recommended, as it's what I use. For 3T, TWRP 3.0.4 is recommended.
20170120 build includes sdcardfs, security fixes and camera fixes&improvements, touch to focus is fixed as well, if it's still not working, clean Snap's data. BTW N kernel source is released now, I'll take days to bring up, don't ask for ETA.
Regarding installation, we recommend that users wipe when switching to LineageOS, and reinstall their gapps. However, we recognize that this can be time consuming, so we are offering an EXPERIMENTAL (read as, if it fails, you’ll have to wipe anyways) solution. Visit http://lineageos.org/Update-and-Build-Prep/for more details
Started from lineage-14.1-20170207-nightly-oneplus3-signed.zip, we provide unified builds for both 3&3T, and you need to install certain firmware to pass the TrustZone assertion. Currently they're the OxygenOS 4.0.2 ones. As oneplus won't update them every time new OTAs are rolling out, firmware from other versions might also pass the assertion.
FAQs:
My status bar quick pulldown and notification slider are broken, why?
See https://github.com/opengapps/opengapps/wiki/Notes-for-CMSetupWizard
Why the builds are unified?
Tell me the difference between OnePlus3Oxygen_16_OTA_039_all_1701140133_03b794d8a8b44883 and OnePlus3TOxygen_28_OTA_039_all_1701140132_de9036f11e2246a8, why not?

I'm really excited that Lineage OS has been released officialy for our 3T
Just one small question
Do OTAs work?
Thanks
I tried the front camera, and actually it's working nice. (Snap Camera)
By the way, great ROM and glad to see it on 3T!

question
dm-verity and forced encryption disabler still needed ?
So is this official official official? Lol. I ask because there are so many official and unofficial of everything on this one plus Fred that I am overwhelmed and confused at times

EDIT: @dianlujitao There is an error in the first post, in the disclaimer. Warranty is still valid.

Will the OIS and EIS work?

I am trying to switch to the official LOS nightly from 07 Feb, coming from this unofficial rom which worked perfectly: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/development/rom-unified-lineageos-cm14-1-t3525551
I did a clean install, flashed twrp 3.0.4-1, then the dm-verity and forced encryption disabler zip (version 5.1), then the LOS build, open-gapps nano package (from 8th of Feb) and the LOS root addon.
Tried numerous times now, and different things: formatting data as ext4, flashing the OOS before doing the clean install, pico instead of nano gapps. Yet the same thing keeps happening to me:
Everything works fine first, yet after encrypting the phone and turning privacy guard on and to quite strict settings for google services, the phone freezes after entering the SIM pin-code during boot. Won't start anymore at all after that.
Tried again today without encrypting the phone and just turning on privacy guard for all services starting with "Google ...", whereas I selected ask everytime rather than denied. Same thing happened, so I believe now it is a Gapps related issue.
I am now back on the abovementioned unofficial build, which works just fine with exactly the same set-up which leaves me puzzled as this build is supposed to be 99,99% pure LOS.
As some people are reporting the nightly is working fine for them: am I doing something wrong? Is anybody else having similar issue? Anybody have an idea how to fix it?
Thanks in advance for any help, well appreciated!

Nice job! I was following this @ 4pda since day one.
There is a serious issue with the last 2 builds on the swift 2x. The screen keeps going off and the device locks itself . Not sure what the problem is. The first build doesnt have that issue tho.

Wow that was quick.
Just tested the new release
Bugs:
- Fingerprint not working with 3d party apps like banking apps (Probably because of SeLinux?)
-Sometimes I got a message of 'Process System is not responding'. Not a big deal tho.
-Casting to a wireless display is not working ( It causes a system UI crash)
-Two camera apps, the lineage os one and the AOSP one.
-FM radio not working
Note: these are the same bugs that I face with gsi ROMs (except for the two cameras and process system)
Everything else (which means almost everything) is working fine. Great job guys!
would you guys say this rom is at a state where i can use it as a daily driver?
also thanks for the hard work in making this

It's fine as a daily driver as long as you don't use FM radio. I am using it right now, it is very stable and it offers better battery life than project treble GSIs do.
Also I'd like to report that LiveDisplay isn't working for me on the Swift 2 Plus
Update!
~~~08.04.2019~~~
Is this a different build than the one Nikith90 provided?
Two questions:
1. Is there any simpler and less intrusive ways to get root than Magisk? SuperSU is not an option.
2. When can we foresee a working webview?
Other than that, great work! Very stable and smooth indeed!
1. You can download LineageOS SU manager from https://download.lineageos.org/extras (arm64, LOS16)
2. Hm... Its already provided by Chomium-Based Webweiw included in LOS source code, as i know... Can you provide a little more info?
For 1. Great. Thanks. I wan't sure if the standard add on would work.
For 2. I noticed today after upgrading to this version from CRdroid 8.1 (I did a dirty flash of the OS and GAPPS 9, not noticed any other problems so far) when you get the prompt to connect to a WiFi hotspot which requires you to accept terms (in webview) I only get a blank page. I am using Opera as my browser, but it shouldn't be related.
Other suggestions: Can one have the battery icon as a circle? That, and automatic log on when correct PIN is entered would be nice. I miss those features (and a few others) from CRdroid.
LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10.0, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.
Reporting Bugs
DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab dmesg . (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.
Is there any chance you could try and port Lineage 17 to the V20?
Why doesn't this work on the T-Mobile model, and is there any hope for owners of that model in terms of custom ROMs?
What partitions would I check on backup in TWRP if I was going to install Lineage 16 or 17?
Because T-Mobile wants to be different, if you try to unlock the bootloader the normal way you get a brick. If my memory is working correctly, Vlad has mentioned something about being able to unlock the bootloader but with soldering and opening the device itself.
Well first you would backup everything minus system.img and Vendor.img...on both slots just to make sure
The tmobile variants always have a different RSA key for their firmware -> the one from the other models wont work.
Kernel and so on would work fine (would just need different firmware files), but the issue is that you cant even unlock/root in the first place (to my knowledge)
Unbelievably great work guys!!!!! My upgrade is available next month but this really makes me think twice!
How does it run? Battery life any better on this? Sound? Thanks again!
I have it installed but keep losing my phone/data. It won't recognize my SIM card any suggestions?
Instructions:
Take a backup first from your actual system!
Before instaling, make sure you are running the latest Oreo firmware from the latest HTC Sense.
If you are encrypted but running an AOSP ROM then you're fine. If you come from Sense, take a full backup of all your data, boot into TWRP and format data (the option which requires you to type "yes") and clean flash accordingly. This is due to encryption changes. Do not skip this step or you will be locked out of your system by a password prompt.
If you are coming from any other ROM wiping /system & /data is strongly recommended
Download the latest build and GApps (both links are below).
Reboot to TWRP.
Flash the latest build and magisk ( optional ) after make one reboot.
When system is booted, reboot to TWRP and flash gapps
Reboot and enjoy (as much as currently possible)
If I remember right, that Im updated the service blobs also, so https://review.lineageos.org/c/LineageOS/android_frameworks_base/+/287693 not needed anymore, I need remove the config_cleanupUnusedFingerprints from device side. Thanks.
installed with nikgapps basic ok; require permissions settings to enable stock LOS sync;
no stock mail app found - not included yet ?
extended power menu enabled works ok
could not set screen-1 with discovery for stock launcher (trebuchet) - any hints ?
great build, thank you @fagyi
Maybe it's better to perfect past ROM's before tackling new ones? They have a lot of problems and things that require improvement, and you again strive to quickly port an actual android with new problems and bugs. Brilliant.
What are the problems you have discovered so far on this lineage 18 port? I believe if you have found any it will be fixed in the next build, This rom is too stable to be a beta rom because I'm using it as my daily driver. Without the likes of fagyi we would have still be on stock oreo.
What is the many bugs in previous versions? Pls list of that on LOS 17.1 thread or Pixelexperience ( logcat & dmesg would be nice with bugs ).
The lot of problems which you mentoined I feel an exaggeration.
To be sincere @fagyi I'm very happy that you owned this our HTC 10 device, at least we will expect more major update like android 12/13, on this old device. Coming from device that has no community support like galaxy s6 g920p every owner had no choice than to use stock base nougat roms but here is a different story, we have the likes of Fagyi who is working tirelessly to make sure that this device get updated more faster than those popular devices, I think we should be grateful to him.
Rom passed safety net by enabling magisk hide in magisk modue
Installation instructions
Make sure you are on OneUI 5 firmware (D bootloader or newer) before flashing this ROM, otherwise the installation might fail or not boot!
Installing LineageOS using LineageOS recovery
Follow the guide on the LineageOS wiki.
Installing LineageOS using TWRP/OrangeFox
Make sure your device's bootloader is unlocked.
Make sure to have the latest available version of TWRP/OrangeFox installed.
If wanted, backup all your necessary partitions (super, boot, vendor_boot, data, EFS) before flashing this in case something goes wrong.
Download the lineage build for your device from the link below and optionally download your preferred GApps package too.
Flash the LineageOS zip using the "Install" button.
Optionally, flash Gapps right after.
Format data in TWRP/OrangeFox as the very last thing, otherwise you may end up in a bootloop if coming from stock ROM.
Wipe metadata and cache partitions. This only has to be done once when you install LineageOS.
Reboot
Great work, I'm on One UI 5.1 right now. Can I flash it, nevertheless?
And some screenshots of the ROM would be really appreciated as well.
What a journey, feels great to witness the evolution of it
This is the start of many things to come! I appreciate @Simon1511 effort unto this.
That's awesome, finally.
Bugs: Noticed the camera app is really buggy, when I switch the video resolution/FPS, camera shows a black screen or a frozen picture, also switching from front/back camera and other things also glitch up.
Camera is black as shown above, and identify songs playing nearby doesn't seem to want to turn on either
This is a huge milestone for the development of ROMs for this phone.
sim toolkit kinda broken still
Hi guys
How is Battery life on this rom ?
Performance for gaming ?
Thanks for answering
I have Android 13 currently installed, it's a GMS firmware, based on Google's Experience ROM. I tried to install the ROM but got message that it's not android 13 even though I know it's 13. Is it caused by missing oneUI? If so what are my options to get this ROM installed? Go back to Samsung's original ROM? Is it even possible? Thanks
My ROM does require Android 13 firmware, not just any Android 13 ROM.
So yes, you'll have to return to stock ROM to flash the latest firmware available for you phone and then install LineageOS.
Thank you for your effort. Now I'm really considering buying this phone.
Hi,
I have installed this ROM and when connected to a WifI i get the msg: "Connected/No internet access".
Googling around I got I had to check with Termux the value of this variable:
> settings get global captive_portal_server
> null
I understand the value of not using the default google owned http://connectivitycheck.gstatic.com but cannot this value be set to some site more privacy-aware/FOSS/non-tracking site rather than NULL ?
( read about that here : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-how-to-avoid-the-captive-portal-checkin-to-google.3927561/)
I found these strange languages below when adding a language. Also, I installed F-droid app and then Aurora Store from F-droid repository. But Aurora Store keeps closing, it doesn't work with this ROM. I'm not sure if this is Aurora issue or something in this ROM that stops Aurora from running.
I can confirm that the camera app stops working shortly after being in use. It starts up, it allows me to take a photo but once I take a look at taken photo and go back to taking pictures again the camera screen is black.
in settings -> display -> colors, there are 4 options to choose from and sample pictures. are these pictures expected to change in color to exemplify the effect of 4 options? if yes then in my installation this doesn't work. a change in options is not reflected on the images.
