General DUAL SIM ENABLED AFTER JUNE SECURITY PATCH FOR UNLOCKED S21FE - Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

Hi, I just got the June security patch for the unlocked FE and I was pleasantly surprised that dual SIM had been enabled. Currently using 2 Sims on the phone as we speak. Phew!!

Are you using the US version?

Yes ,US unlocked

I have the EU version with snapdragon and I always had dualsim. Didn't you have it before? It is strange a security update would bring it. They actually advertise this model as dualsim which it is

Possible to change T-Mobile S9 to unlocked? Want security updates from Samsung

I've got a T-Mobile S9 that I'd like to convert to unlocked so that I can get Android security updates directly from Samsung...I'm guessing that there are two steps to this:
1. Get the phone unlocked from T-Mobile carrier.
2. Flash an unlocked firmware image on my phone.
Which raises some questions. First off, if I do this, will I start getting security updates directly from Samsung? Is there anything additional that I need to do to get this started?
My next question is where can I find an image for the unlocked Samsung S9 firmware that I can flash? Is there a procedure for doing this somewhere? I've been looking around and haven't found anything relevant. So I obviously haven't looked in the right place yet *smile*.
I expect that my next step is to look at the postings for the Samsung S8 and see what's there for that. That might give me an idea of what's out there and what I can expect if I do this.
Thanks for any help.
i did this on my at&t U version, now on U1, everything works just fine, but i'm not sure how fast the U1 model get the security patches compare to the exynos, we're on april and i'm still on february patch

My Exynos 960FD is currently on the march security patch, and its the latest version (it did a update today for better stability while calling and higher quality wallpapers).

G960U1 April Security Update

Has anyone received their April Security update yet for their unlocked S9 (G960U1)? It appears the carriers have rolled them out here in the US, but the unlocked version has yet to receive it.

I second this request. I also have an unlocked s9 purchased directly from Samsung and I'm still on the February security patch. Only difference is I'm in Canada and my phone is a G960w.
I still haven't received anything on my UNlocked S9
Hope to get an update that will make the FM radio function. All the carrier versions have it unlocked.
Got the April security update yesterday, i have a unlocked s9 from australia. Hopefully they did some battery tweaks too.
Looks like I won't be getting a security update for my unlocked 960w until sometime in May. Kind of ****ty considering my old A5 received the April security patch a week ago. I must say I'm pretty disappointed thus far with the support I've gotten with Sammy's flagship.
It's now May (5-1-18) and my unlocked s9 is still on the February (2-1-18) security. Can I get a refund from Samsung? Really, can I return my phone due to a breach of contract? Any lawyers here?
April patch and SABS
Can anyone verify if SABS is still working with the April security patch?
What's up with this lack of update (Sprint).

Which firmware is on March security update?
The newest Canadian firmware is ARC1 from Telus and it's still on February. I see the latest U1 firmware is still ARBG (which was released at the same time) but I didn't know it had March security.
If you can confirm I'll flash over to U1 this afternoon ?
Thanks in advance

Thanks

Still on ARBG here in the USA un locked S9
I see many post about other countries getting an up-date. Guess they forgot about the USA.

Figures..... luck of Bob
It's the same here in Canada with the W varient. I guess it's an issue with the snapdragon version of the firmware.
Halfway through May and still on the February security patch.
Flash over to the 960U firmware, there's no reason not to from what I can tell.
Running on my 960w for a few days now and everything is good. Only downside is you're stuck here until the U1/W catch up.

Out of curiosity, what contract are you referring to? I didn't have to sign a contract to get my S9; just pressed "buy" on Amazon.
What has Samsung breached? We voted with our wallets for Samsung to keep bending us over and ****ing us when it comes to updates; I've been an S7 and S8 owner too. I knew what I was getting into. Kind of hoped that Project Treble would make updates easier, but Samsung is apparently completely incompetent at anything software related. Someone needs to buy their lead dev a "baby's first guide to programming" booklet for whatever the next Korean gift-giving holiday is.

Do the Unlocked version get regular updates?

I remember hearing the S8 Unlocked had very delayed updates. Is this an issue on the S9 as well?
My SM-G960U1 is still on build ARBG and Feb. 1 security patch level.
I am unlocked in the UK i am on 1 April patch with ARD 4 build number

Try flashing over to the 960U builds. Newer firmware and may security bulletin.
FYI you'll be stuck until U1 firmware starts rolling out with V2 bootloader.

HI.Have you received the update for S20U 3.1?

我的设备是SM-G988U。我没有收到来自OneUI 3.1的更新。我朋友的G988N已收到OneUI 3.1的更新
Translation: My device is SM-G988U. I did not receive the update from OneUI 3.1. My friend's G988N has received the update of OneUI 3.1
thank you
I have an ATT G988U 1CTLB now, and I see G988U 1DUB5 out there... will flashing to that give me 3.1?
I have an unlocked/unbranded S20 5G G981U1 bought from Google Fi, it's OYM, XAA, got all the updates installed the normal way through the phone. I just installed Smart Switch on my PC and connected it to the phone and it detected an update. It shows my phone currently has PDA: UA2, CSC: UA2, PHONE: UA2 (XAA), and it says latest software version is UB7 for all 3 of those, 5,682 MB update. It's downloading now, hopefully this is One UI 3.1!
It gave this website but maybe it's not updated yet with the changelog: https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s20/firmware/SM-G981U1/SPR/download/G981U1UES1CTL5/1108696/
EDIT: WOOOOO it updated to One UI 3.1, has March 1, 2021 security update too!!!!

Question Got Android 13 One UI 5 stable - non beta US

Just got the update this morning. I am on T-Mbile and was not on Beta.
Thank you! I just got it also on TMOB!

I have an unlocked (direct from Samsung at launch) G4F that I use primarily with T-Mobile. I use my eSIM for that line and have a physical SIM card from VZW for work.
If I use the above link to install the TMB version, that'll convert me from SM-F936U1 to U, right? Any downsides?

Well, this is embarrassing. At some point, my unlocked phone has updated to Android 13 with the November Security release as well.
