Question Raw official firmware for ROG Phone 6/6 Pro - Asus ROG Phone 6 / 6 Pro

Success is disgusted by some people, and will not share any files for free in the future.
Do not use EDL firmware found online, because it has not been modified, 100% of fingerprints and IMEI will be lost after use.
You need to modify the firmware before you can flash it, you can contact me.
Not free, please don't bother me if you want free.

Extract it from the official ASUS rom (has to be the exact identical version as on your device) or directly from your own device.

@Andrologic and @AndroPlus - Just a quick question, So i have successfully flashed the WW rom on CN device.
My understanding is that I need to change the fingerprint from CN to WW as well to be able to get OTA updates, is that correct?
@AndroPlus Donating to your Paypal my friend, thank you.

Yes but I don't think a bootloader unlocked device will receive OTA updates.
To me, not receiving OTA updates is no issue at all. Updating the ROG phones is as easy is dropping the firmware on the root of your SD card and restart the device - there is a process that picks it up and flashes it automatically. No RAW files needed for that. Later when TWRP becomes available for ROG 6, it can be flashed directly from there too. In fact I prefr updating that way over OTA. Also, if you don't use OTA, you can disable the background FOTA process and save a tiny bit of CPU and battery for prformance optimization.

Thanks, Yup i am aware of that and thats how i updated the device with the last update. Howerver receiving OTAs is just easier and more user friendly
I have relocked the bootloader, but i didnt change the fingerprint. I think i need to unlock again and change the bloody fingerprint then
Is not receiving OTAs the only downside to having a CN fingerprint on WW Rom?

Just noticed that im also getting that annoying Hardwarestub notification sayig the firmware doesnt match the device ANy ideas how to fix it?

You will not receive OTA updates once you've unlocked the bootloader. ASUS blacklists the device as soon as the device is initially unlocked, so even if you were to relock the bootloader, the device will never receive an OTA again. Thus, there has never been any way for a converted device to receive an OTA. The only update methods available are manual.

Sorry Abit of a noob question. I too recently got a ROG Phone 6 running CN rom. I want to change it to WW rom so I can use Google and all that. Is there a guide I can follow with the ROM?

Guide: How to upgrade/downgrade/restore OFFICIAL firmware on your V30.
Requirements:
LG V30
Windows PC
Official Firmware file for your V30 ending with .kdz. You can find it here https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v30/development or here https://lg-firmwares.com/
Bootloader does not need to be unlocked. All variants can be flashed using this method.
Only fully official, LG signed and blessed, unmodified firmware can be flashed using this method. No custom roms or recoveries!
Lets go:
Download and install LG USB drivers from here.
Download and install LG UP 1.14.3 from here.
Download .dll file for our V30, attached at the bottom of this post.
Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model
Create folder called "common" and unzip the .dll file inside of it.
Connect the phone to your PC
[Optional]Open Device Manager and verify if under Ports you can see LGE Mobile USB Serial Port (COM...) to make sure the LG driver was installed correctly and the phone is visible.
Launch LGUP.exe
Select process called "UPGRADE" Warning: Selecting Refurbish will wipe user data.
Select the firmware file.
Click Start!
Your phone will automatically reboot into Download mode and upgrade firmware.
There's no need to do a factory reset afterwards but you can if you encounter any issues ofc. (I haven't)
Thanks for the guide.
thank you. I would love to try the MIUI ROM on this device.

My apologies if I misunderstood. Is this a way to apply alternative ROMs even on models with locked bootloaders and the ADB Commands stripped out such as the H 933? I know you said already that it will work on any variant but I had lost hope that this model would ever allow modding of the rum. I just want to make sure I'm not misunderstanding the intention of your guide.

It clearly says in the title of the thread and in the requirements that you can only flash full official (stock) firmware using this method...
Nothing custom. Everything needs to be RSA signed by LG.

It will work as long as your /laf partition is in tact. It containts the DL mode. It has nothing to do with /recovery partition where you most likely flashed TWRP.

Just so I don't brick my device, I have an H930DS, therefore any firmware marked for this model (https://lg-firmwares.com/lg-h930ds-firmwares/), regardless of region, would work on my phone? My phone is currently on HK region version, can I flash the Indian firmware for the same model?

I have no idea about cross region firmware flashing. I have not found any official documentation about how each of LG UP's functions exactly works, it's all user experience here on XDA. Supposedly, every region has firmware signed with different RSA key which is verified upon trying to flash and it will reject you if it's a mismatch. Also I doubt Indian region has the same bands as HK so you might cripple your mobile signal if you happen to be on a band that is not supported in Indian firmware. Personally I don't recommend trying it but its up to you Please share your experience if you do
I know for sure that all H930 sold in EU, regardless of what carrier can be flashed with the same H930 unbranded EU firmware, which removes all carrier bloat and branding.
@sasc Check the RSA signature of your firmware and compare it to the firmware you want to flash. If they match, then it won't brick your phone. Your phone may not work, but at least your will have access to DL mode. If they don't match, you will definitely brick your phone..

India and HK are both global GSM regions. The bands are the same, just like Europe.

Okay.. I bring good news! You can definitely flash any KDZ as long as the model number is exactly the same. I flashed the HK Reginal kdz on my H930DS from India and I now have working VoLTE and VoWiFi.
In short, get the CORRECT kdz of the desired region for your model number, use LGUP, Upgrade option, and let it do its thing. Simple. This keeps the device official and under warranty.
PS - Please backup all data before doing this. Even though it is just an upgrade, play it safe. Just in case!

So...kind of didn't work.
I used the H930DS marked India in lgfirmwares. The flashing process went fine, except for the phone getting stuck right after the last restart and the screen went blank. Waited a couple of mins and forced a restart using the power button..booted fine but all data was gone. Thankfully i did backup some stuff, but not all..
Checked the Software version, it says V11i-GLOBAL-COM, which is obviously not the India version. And, I still dont have Volte!! So, this was futile..
Can anyone point me to a certified H930DS India KDZ?

Risks updating to Oreo

Hi, I bought an honor 7x in december, it came from China, and the sellers changed the software version from BND-AL10 to the one from Europe BND-L21, I had upgraded my phone once using firmware finder, but I´m a little nervous about doing the big upgrade, I don´t know if there will be any problem because of the version change.
Also, I haven´t recieved any official upgrade, I don´t if it´s because of that or because of my country (I live in Mexico), I´ll appreciate your help
I'm in the same boat. I was wondering if it would be better to flash the AL10 or L21 version of Oreo.
Worst case scenario, I can just choose to wipe the device and flash the AL10 version from scratch for Treble.
The upside, as I just recently found out, is that the bootloader comes unlocked already. It's pretty fortunate considering that they took down the website to unlock the bootloader.

Well, I used Firmware Finder to download the Oreo update and, to my surprise, it worked perfectly. I went straight from B101 to the newest version. After updating I formatted the device and installed phh's GSI, and it's working great.

Hi Ahmad, just curious. Where are you based and which if the 2 options did you consider to download the firmware and also did the checking firmware access mention it is not approved for your device or was it approved. Thanks for your feedback in advance.
My experience as mentioned by someone else in the forum was that it is not approved and hence even after downloading the files it didn't get installed.

I'm from Canada, and I chose the second-last option for 8.0 on the L21-C432 section of Firmware Finder. It said it was approved, although in the past when I tried updating even if it was approved it didn't work.
Thanks bro. Appreciate the prompt response. Guess I will just have to wait till my turn comes in India

I also had tim and when I switched to no brand I stopped receiving ota and also lg bridge no longer updates my phone. I now use LGUP every time there is an update and do a manual upgrade. The lg bridge update log says the phone fails an imei test so I believe there's no other way to update for me and probably for you too.

If it was pure open stock, it shouldn't show that "222-01" thing in software info. It should be "EUR-XX". And I can't make it that way. I'm wondering if anybody achieved it.
Same issue..received a Tim branded G7 so installed GBR open firmware from LG fan now all good no branding just no OTA UPDATES..Anyone know of a fix for this save flashing every new update.?
Any help/information much appreciated....
I’m going to try and flash the Italy open rom if there is one...see if that makes any difference..
What is the Italy code? Is it ITC?
So i flashed a few open firmwares..ITC and GBR open latest ones and earleir releases and none would OTA update only flashing back to origanal TIM firmware did it update OTA.
So its put up with branding etc and get all ota updates or flash a EU open firmware and keep doing this with every update.

No, only with hands through lgup
So is there any way for users to istall an open F.W so you don’t have network branding or bloatware
And still receive the OTA updates?and security patches
I know it don’t really make a massive difference but the branding and boot screen really winds me up for some reason..
I could send device back as I purchased in the uk thinking it would be a uk phone but it’s Italian..still says LG-G710EM so I guess it’s the Euro variant..

Any that’s an open for your regional area...
Be aware if you do this you will no longer receive OTA updates.
I'm asking because i'm fresh in this topic (and generally in android) and i prefer to ask before i do something wrong.
Yes, i know that i will no longer receive OTA updates what is quite logic, but manual update via LGup isn't a big problem for me. Just less convenience.
So, for Poland, firmware G710EM10q_00_OPEN_EU_OP_1219.kdz should be okay, yes? and one more question, the process of updating via LGup looks like normal firmware updating (keeping the configuration and data) or like clean firmware flashing?

Yes that’s an okay firmware for Poland and yes LGUP wipes and gives clean install each time I’ve used it..there maybe a way to upgrade once you have initial new firmware as you don’t want issues so clean install is best to start then investigate upgrade for next time.
When should 9.0 roll out? the G8 already released with it...

I found my answers after posting this thread, sorry for the clutter. Please ignore, can't find a way to delete. Thanks! (If a mod sees this, please delete thread)
So I am about to order a chinese RoG II Phone, my goal is to ask to leave the chinese rom as I don't want to lose OTA and I would like to see for myself if I can make do with the chinese fonts here and there... but my question is, if I happen to dislike it and flash the WW rom, I understand I lose OTAs, how about if I flash back the CN rom, will the OTA function return to the phone or is it essentially a one-time deal type of thing? As soon as you flash, OTAs on the device are essentially gone forever??
(Edit: I have read in a different thread that the bootloader can be "re-locked" I assume that is bringing back the phone to it's original state and therefore reinstating OTA as the device will appear to have "never" been flashed a different rom? If possible, please confirm)
While I am at it, any Google Play Services APK will do for sideloading? Can I just grab the latest version? Wait... Is sideloading as simple as just grabbing an .apk and installing it like any other app directly from the phone?? Lulz
Thanks!

Hi, once you flash any raw firmware whether it's WW or CN. You lose OTA and the consequences for now aren't reversible. So if OTA updates are important to you, you better not flash any raw firmware, it's even better to get the global version instead. Regarding locking and unlocking the bootloader, yes you can do it but it doesn't mean you will not lose warranty for now users who have flashed the same raw firmware of the device "CN rom" haven't been able to go back to the default system state, meaning if you took the device to the service center for what ever reason they would be able to detect that you have altered the system and consequently refuse to service the device for free.
Regarding the play store, you only need to get the latest apk file of the play store and simply installing it. That's it after that you can install/update any app you like.

Follow the link and check the vendor file and see if the country is WW instead of CN. Try to change it to WW if it's still CN. If this doesn't work go back to Chinese Raw firmware flash it and change the vendor to CN and see if that works for OTA updates.

Unlocked At&t Android 10 update outside US

Greetings,
I'm super new here, also a tech noob so pls be gentle.
I purchased an unlocked At&T Note 10+, and i am living in Malaysia. Little that I know At&T would never send updates to out network, and that I require an At&t SIM in order to get the updates. Currently I am stucked with Android 9, ONE UI 1.5, with no hope of getting anything higher than that.
My question is, how can i get the updates besides flashing a new firmware? I tried connecting to Smart Switch on my laptop, and all it can says is that my software is up to date on SJ8 (ATT).
Hope there's a way other than flashing. HELP.

Hi Mohd Azrimny,
Am in the same boat as you. In Malaysia and have the note 10 plus at&t version. How did you manage? I am using Odin and getting error message connection failed. Not sure what is the problem.
Can you point me from where you downloaded the firmware? I am suspecting that is the culprit.
Thanks!

I'm sorry but I don't think there's other way around, you'll need to flash another firmware.
I have an Unlocked Verizon Note10+, the first thing I did after getting it out of the box was flash the unbranded firmware (CSC: XAA).
Ever since, I've had OTA updates as quick as they're released for N975U1.

I see...tq man. Can u help me out with one last thing? As they are thousands of firmware out there, which one should i choose? Can i simply choose any unbranded firmware (N975U1) from any month security updates n just flash it? I just need a stock ROM, not the latest should be ok as the OTA will take care of the rest.
Right now i'm at nov 2019 security updates SJ8 (ATT).
Thanks in advance.

Well, unfortunately I'm not sure about previous versions, however I'm leaving attached my SW information, my CSC is XAA.
You can download it from sammobile or frija (this is way faster).
Hope this helps,
Regards.
So, knowing you are a noob is half the solution already...
I highly recommend you look for Frija on the internet. Download the tool, search for the phone you have , it is a SM-N975U , and since you want to get rid from the AT&T version, you can install the SM-N975U1 version with XAA as CSC, that Samsung themselves push updates to. Even if they will not, you can always download the next revisions..
I assume you know how to use Odin..

No worries, as Odin and the phone check revisions and suitability. If not the right firmware, it should not write it.

what i did was :
1) download odin v3.14
2)download frija 1.4.3
3) download firmware SM-n975u1 csc XAA from frija
4)tried to flash using odin..and failed multiple time
5)tried download a patched version of odin 3.14
6)download a bunch of other firmware from USA verizon, malayisia and others
7)failed and failed and failed again
so sifu please help me?where did i go wrong? will flashing new firmware fix my carrier problem? or its a verizon issue?because it was working fine a month ago ..please help..
