Question Recommended ROMs for the OnePlus 9RT? - OnePlus 9RT

With the current condition of OxygenOS I wanted to install a custom ROM. Since I heard good things about LineageOS I checked it, but it seems to not support my phone. I'd appreciate it if you know of a stable ROM for the 9RT (Android 12). Thanks!

You might want to check out the Telegram group, there is discussion there about alternative ROMs and what's working, what's broken etc. The link to the group isn't allowed to be shared apparently, so you will just need to search for it.

That's because it is new. Also the phone structure is set it a bit different than what the devs are used to. Not to worry there are some people here working very hard on getting everything to work correctly with this device. If you haven't yet, I would follow the update thread and update to Oreo. Magisk and TWRP now work correctly. Be patient, there are great things to come.

Wouldn't a Telegram channel where the devs can communicate with each other (or possibly even the users) speed up the process?

I was trying to pm you the links. Says you can't receive messages. Try to PM me.
Yes, we are working on discord mainly. So far @invisiblek has fixed a lot of vendor blob issues for Lineage OS. No ETA on when it will be ready to ship. This phone is pretty screwy compared to other a/b phones. It's a total clusterf$#%. Be patient and we will get things out when they are ready.

It is best to only be in there if you have something to add to the development of the device. If you can grab logs or even help with code, then the links would work. Other than that, it'd be best to wait until we get things working and released on XDA. The Discord and Telegram aren't for people who want finished product or people afraid of hard bricking their device.
I installed the AOSiP rom with no problem except failing safety net checks. Checking for ROMs using the device name NASH instead of Z² Force might help too.
well as of now we have:
AOSiP {T-mobile/Sprint}
Invictrix ROM 8.1
Dirty Unicorns 12.1
Lineage OS 15.1
we can not give link but google is your friend ans most are on this forum.

Regarding rom development for our device

hi so iam eager as all of you guys to try custom roms and kernels on this device , but so far development is slow for obvious reasons , thanx for the people who are working on it nevertheless , but what if we reach out for developers working on other devices with the same Soc will it be easy or even possible for them to port there roms and kernels to our device ? if so we need to talk to Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro developers because the development for this device took off quite nicely they have multiple developers working and dozens of working roms and what not .
check the development forum for the device its really nice :

The dev's we have on board have already made los and is in testing phase right now. Fp is is on the way as they are working on it. If u want to test the los, join the telegram group. Twrp and los are available + u can also flash magisk normally on it as far as I am informed.

[PAOSP] Potato Custom Rom Android 10 for Moto Z2 force

Has anyone tried PAOSP Custom Rom Android 10 for z2 force? I have seen this zip file on mirror lollinet in Nash custom rom section.
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/nash/custom/posp/
it seems to be flashable zip modified at 2019-Sept-09. I had a little chit chat with the founder of this project today. He replied by saying he had no idea who made this unofficial build for nash and said that we don't back unofficial builds except the phones we have officially released on their website.
I wanted to gave it a shot but that modem issue which has been all going for past couple of months NO baseband imei no turning back etc Stopped :crying: me from flashing it.
If anyone has tried please do share your experience. anyway I have a [XT1789-03] {Sprint} variant
I am downloading it. I will see what failures it has. I also use the sprint version
Jessooca said:
Both of the builds in the folder were made by @erfanoabdi well known guru of rom's. They work, I actually tested both builds for him after he made them. He's over on telegram if you want to join his group and get all the most current up to date methods, or message him here.
If you want to check out the android 10 official gsi image on the phone, you can download it directly from google developer and see what android 10 has to offer as well, I have it on my phone. Although over on his telegram group you'll get all the info if you want to check out his build of it, a minor variation of the actual official Android 10 GSI. No real issues to report, on Android 10 other than missing hardware keys at the bottom which can be enabled via a build.prop edit.
Again, I would suggest you join his telegram group if you want all the info or if you know what you're doing check out the Android 10 official gsi direct from Google. I am always one to try everything and if it breaks, so be it. I'll fix it, but there was literally zero issues with flashing it as an img file in twrp.

I was looking at the Google developer page for the Android 10 GSI's. I ran the code "adb shell getprop ro.treble.enabled" and it came back as false. The web page says not to continue since the phone isn't compatible. I was under the impression that the Z2 Force is A/B compatible.
So, how did you go about installing it on your phone?
Thanks for any info and assistance.

Question Custom rom

Are there any custom roms?
The only custom roms right now are miui based.
I'm currently on MiuiMix which gives me sort of a mediocre upgrade to the stable global version.
However you might have noticed an alpha twrp just came out and there are telegram groups you can join now, so you can expect things to get better from here on (I hope I think I know)

Like I said, it's not that big of an upgrade.
For now it brings some features like double tab to sleep and some UI changes.
Battery and fluidity are pretty on par, so nothing to go crazy about.
Magisk being built-in is somewhat convenient though.
I would say, if you really want to try out something urgently, go for it.
But if you want something really different from your current Miui, wait for proper AOSP / LOS based custom ROMs

General [WIP] Porting LineageOS 20 to the Oneplus 11

We all know the path OnePlus/Oppo went with development, MSM Tools and all, and I want to make it clear and short : I'm going to work on this phone no matter what. The OnePlus 10 series were a failure in this regard and I don't want the OnePlus 11 to experience the same.
I've been in this space for quite some years now, since Xperia X10 times and Android 2.3, and my last device has been a OnePlus 8 Pro that have provided me great service. Sadly, the battery is slowly dying and I can't bring myself to purchasing a phone I cannot tamper with. I've always loved OnePlus and I have hard times considering anything else.
If you're a developer, just wave at me using this thread. We need to know each other and work together to bring something to this phone. The obvious path would be to at least get a TWRP and a basic kernel built. I absolutely want to get to a LineageOS build.
If you're not a dev, but you have deep understanding on how fastboot, bootloader, and all else means, you can be a tester. I haven't bought the OnePlus 11 yet but I'm going to work on it and acquire it if some of you follow me.
If you're nether of these, you can still share the thread to other people to raise awareness.
I'll likely create a Telegram conversation if we get to a few devs. If you're interested in working on the OnePlus 11, please post a reply
@dekefake I've changed the prefix of your thread from "Development", for which it doesn't qualify, to "General"; do not revert that! Prior to your next posting, please read all announcements and guidances that are stuck at the top of every forum like
My phone android 8 m27 3 16 401 2v201U241a...
PS6IMG_PERF[email protected]60331.4_41.13_F_release_477358_combined_signed_2_4.zip...
forum.xda-developers.com
For example, you'll certainly easily recognise that only threads with own development qualify for the prefix "Development", and this doesn't apply to this thread.

And a remark to your above statement: Regarding social media links please observe that as an exemption from the last bullet of rule no. 5 of the XDA Forum Rules, we grant only developers the privilege to share references to their social media in their own development threads and if thorough support is provided in the thread. Additional information is also available here:
Telegram Chat Channels - Way Forward
WhatsApp/Telegram Groups and Channels - Going Forward Hello XDA family! Just notifying all members that posting certain links to Telegram and other sites like WhatsApp is now allowed on XDA. What does that mean? We will allow links to messages...

If you intend to share links to Telegram, please only do so in your own development thread

Are you sure TWRP would be necessary? We don't have it on the pixel 6 pro but the rom community is still large

Yes that's true, TWRP isn't really necessary anymore, but I feel like this small step would be quite a good start. Either way, having LineageOS booting is the most important and challenging task.

Right. Able to boot lineage is the most important thing. Everything can be fixed with time.

I just pre-ordered the 11 and was lucky because I got a 100 Amazon gift card from Amazon so I can get a case and screen protectors I just hope we can get a working root soon I held off on upgrading my 8t because of lack of dual sim in us now one plus gave us dual sim and a bonus of esim so I can't wait as I use both sim slots I have a cheap plan on my main line and I get free unlimited data on my second sim which I need both so I'm happy
TWRP is necessary for NANDroid Backups, I'll join testing if come out.
Mine will be here Thursday. The sooner I can root / debloat etc, the better. I'm no dev, but I will be here testing.

Okay nice. I don't think I'll try to build a TWRP first then. I may try to build a LineageOS build directly. Does someone here dumped an OxygenOS OP11 partition table including partition paths, names, and exact sizes ?
Okay well, I expected more engagement with this thread, and maybe some help..
Is there someone here with a rooted OnePlus 11 ? Or at least with unlocked BL ?

Awesome !
To avoid any soft brick in the future while testing builds, we'd need to know exactly which fastboot features are enabled and which are not, starting with fastboot boot.
Could you please dump your recovery.img and boot.img, and try to fastboot boot each of them to confirm the phone is booting normally sideloading the boot.img, and booting in recovery correctly when sideloading recovery.img ?
Also, I currently have no idea of the partition layout of the OnePlus 11, is it the same as the OnePlus 8 Pro, or if things changed since then, it would be a good thing to dump information about the partition table, possibly using fastboot enhance. I've read in some other threads that someone needed to patch a partition called "init_boot", weighting 8mb, so maybe the kernel now resides in two different partitions : init_boot being the ramdisk and zImage being elsewhere. The best would be to gather more info about the partition table before trying any fastboot sideloading.
To begin, please install a terminal emulator, and type :
Bash:
su
ls -als /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/ >> /sdcard/fstab.txt
Please upload the created fstab.txt file here
