Question Connect S22+ to my monitor that supports usb type-c displayport - Samsung Galaxy S22

So if I bought a new monitor that supports usb type-c DP alt, will I be able to mirror my phone to the monitor using a type-c to type-c cable? Need some help here as I have only tried using type-c to hdmi connections omegle xender.
According to the specs of S22+ on official website: Wired: supports DisplayPort over USB Type-C. Supports video out when connecting via HDMI Adapter. (DisplayPort 4K UHD at 60 fps)

HDMI port.
Adapter must use display port protocol (I think). This USB-C to HDMI, USB3.1, and USB-C (charging port in only) works. Found on eBay.
USB Type C Hub for Macbook Pixel USB C to HDMI USB 3.0 & USB-C Charging Port
Brand MyTripleBest

This one uses MHL protocol, and does NOT work.

Micro USB accessories.-
For OTG accessories, and some attachments such as cameras, the phone is the USB host.
'Conforming' USB-C to micro adapters (listing the '56k resistor' ) will not work. Tells the phone to take a charge, it is not host.
Look for adapters that are non conforming, better yet are 'OTG' compatible.
One is:
Meenova
USB 3.1 Type-C to MicroUSB 2.0 Female OTG Adapter, Gray, pack of 2
My micro USB thermal camera, 3d camera, and USB host cables work. There are other brands as well.

I'm currently (partially successfully) using the following in an attempt to use an External 1TB Drive as a portable backup solution for travels:
Type C Adapter, RAVPower USB C To A Female OTG Cable, USB-C On The Go Convertor for New MacBook and Other Devices with Type C USB
I can get images onto the phone's internal 128GB card (Lexar Professional 1800x microSDXC 128GB UHS-II W/USB 3.0 Reader Flash Memory Card - LSDMI128CRBNA1800R) via OTG and Card Reader ...I cannot get them off of the internal on to the External 1TB via the OTG cable.

Problem with old HTC M8 Charger
At home I use the charger that came with the phone.
At the office, I was planning to use the HTC charger that came with my old M8, maybe not quite as fast.
But strangely enough, when I do that, the charge light turns on and off every couple of seconds, it wakes the phone, and it doesn't charge.
A Belkin 2.1A charger I had works fine though. Go figure.
I don't think the HTC 10 is compliant with USB-C Power Delivery (Such as the Nexus 6p) do deliver the rapid charging speeds of up to 3A via a USB-C charger and a USB-C to USB-C cable. I remember reading up about it of an article referencing Benson Leung (not the 1st one, but most recent one). He said the LG G5 is compliant with the Power Delivery achieving the 3A max input. But the HTC 10 only achieves 2A.
I can about confirm this because I have 2 USB-C wall chargers, one by Cheotech that gives me around 1600mah-1700mAh, and one by iClever, which gives me the same speeds. My RavPower Turbo Series Powerbank with the USB-C port and the max of 3A output gives me the same 1600-1700mAh speeds of input into the HTC 10 as well.
I've tested a Samsung adaptive fast charger from the s7 and s6 with the OEM cable and a ravpower A to C cable and it shows Rapid Charging when plugged in.

USB C to HDMI

Has anyone gotten one to work I bought 2 from Amazon and none seem to work. Maybe I thought wrong but thought HTC 10 has displayport output.

I've tried 2. One worked, one didn't. Both were designed for macbooks, so ymmv.
I will try this out when I get the chance.
Tried one at the Computex last WE, for MacBook. Didn't work.
And after I tried the HTC10 and put it back to the MacBook it didn't work at all anymore.

damn thats not good news. still haven't had the time to head to local bestbuy. Hoping someone got one to work and point to an amazon link really miss having to show movies (for my kids) on the screen. Still have my MHL adpater for htc m9.
Adapter needs to use display port protocol, not mhl. Some adapters (USBC to HDMI) will use mhl internally and won't work (to my knowledge). See USB-C thread in 'Real Life'? section.

Yes I know can't use MHL for HTC 10.. Just saying I miss that feature. And almost nagging at me still is the MHL cable. starring at me saying why did you get of the M9 [emoji14] you could be watching videos on the 70inch right now.

Buy your nagging mhl cable a baby sister; a USB-C to HDMI port adapter / hub. It uses display port protocol and supports 4k. Adapter also includes USB 3.0 host port (so OTG) and 2nd USB-C port (for charger connection, I think optional, but I always use). Charge phone and watch at same time. See referenced thread for source. Win-win but approx $30. Need standard HDMI cable. Works well for me.

I ran into the same problem the mac pro adapter, it would charge or display not both. I went this route Microsoft - Wireless Display Adapter V2 receiver - Dark-Titanium and use HTC connect. It works great.

Just curious... you've had no problem charging this way? I wasn't sure if the 10 could take a regular USB-C charger or if it needed a QC compatible charger.
Partial answer. The HTC-10 does not need QC2 charger, just might charge slower or at various rates supplied by charger. I use several different chargers I had for my micro USB phones. Both using micro-USBC adapters, and USB-C cable direct. What I haven't tried (per your question), is fully charging via the mentioned display adapter. I doubt that the will recognize it as QC2. I will try this with the HTC supplied charger.

Here a very quick video of my HTC 10 working on HDMI while being charged.
Hi
Here a very quick video of my HTC 10 working on HDMI while being charged.
5Gbps UBS 3.1 TypeC to 4K HDMI USB 3.0 HUB USBC Charging Port OTG Adapter UK 5Gbps UBS 3.1 Type-C to 4K HDMI USB 3.0 HUB USB-C Charging Port OTG Adapter UK | eBay
No Audio out via HDMI on this product. There is audio just does not work on my monitor via HDMI but works fine on TVs.
Video Output was 1080p @60fps
Sorry for the bad video; as it was taken with my Nexus 7.

Thanks for this, will be ordering one myself now.
edit: no audio out on this device, well then that sucks. Not good for watching video, yah I know I probably can use headphone jack for that but should work that way in my opinion. guess I'll still be on the hunt for a simple HDMI and audio output like the good old MHL adapter.

Is this available anywhere else? I was hoping to find this or a similar device on Amazon or something but nothing else has been confirmed to be compatible. Is your experience with this device still a positive one??
Also, I am assuming that if you want to supply charging power to this device you need to use a non-QuickCharge charger as supplying greater than 5V to the electronics in this device would be bad...? What about still using legacy USB-A to USB-C cables (like the one that came with the HTC 10) with the 56K Ohm resister?

I use mine all the time at work for about 3-7 hours a night (5 nights a week) - have it plugged into spare monitor to watch youtube etc.
I using the default charger that came with the HTC 10 and only gets slightly warm (charger & adaptor) when I been playing games for a hour or two.
Been thinking about purchasing another one as a backup.

BC Master USB Type-C to HDMI Female Adapter Support 4K Resolution

This is BC Master USB Type-C to HDMI Female Adapter is the "Swiss army" adapter because of all it does for me. I own a Google ChromeBook Pixel and USB ports are at a minimum plus im constantly streaming to the TV so this is the perfect solution for me as it fixes 3 of my issues with the Pixel. I also just ordered a Motorola z force which uses USB TYPE-C so I will be also using this adapter on that device and one feature that puts this adapter ahead of others is the PD port which I know I will be using with Moto Z to be able to charge the phone while I am using it while using the adapter. The BC Master USB Type-C to HDMI Female Adapter has 4 USB 3.0 ports for SuperSpeed data transferring of up to 5 Gbps and downward compatible with USB 2.0/1.1 specifications and supports high resolution up to 4K . Another feature I dont see on other units I compared this to was it also supports high definition audio including SACD, DVD-Audio which I liked for gaming. This adapter is Bus-Powered, so no additional power adapter needed and supports hot swapping & plug-and-play and for safety has a built-in surge protector incorporated to safeguard your USB devices. Overall im very happy after using this for over a month and never thought I would use it as much as I do but it really comes in handy in some way everyday. Its priced at $35.59 HERE and comes with a 24 months warranty.

NOVA 3 USB-C hub to All

I have bought an Ugreen all in one USB type-c adapter. Seems like this device doesn't support USB C to HDMI, VGA or Ethernet. Well the USB 3.0 ports are working only. Is there any way to be able to use those ports on these device. P.S I don't know whether USB Type-c 2.0 supports HDMI, VGA or Ethernet.

Question Poco F3 support HDMI Alternate Mode (HDMI Alt Mode)

Would it be possible to use USB-C to HDMI adapter. And connect to the TV,? Does this
Phone support HDMI Alternate Mode (HDMI Alt Mode).
No HDMI available on the USB port (which is not USB3, BTW).
Thank you so I presume Chromecast is the Alternative.
I beliave that you can use the same cable I use on my poco F1, this one uses miracast screen transmission and works like a charm on lineage os 16 (android 9), but I thinks it works on any android os ios phone. Note that is only 30 fps, but with no lag, since it uses cable conection. Much better than chromecast thats uses wifi:
Unnlink 3 in 1 Lightning USB C Android to HDMI Converter Cable 1080P for Phone Tablet to TV Monitor Projector
https://a.aliexpress.com/_m020aly
Miracast is not USB. Nor the F3 has any hardware to bridge video data over its USB2 port.
Show us your setup, please.

What makes you suggest the usb port is USB2?
This
And the fact that USB communication with my Linux box is USB2.
