Question One ui 5 link needed for S901U - Samsung Galaxy S22

Has anyone captured the link for One Ui 5 on s901u?
If you have enrolled in One Ui 5 beta for s901u and haven't downloaded the update yet, you can try to capture the link easily by using the following instructions.
How to capture the update.zip file to share with other people:
1. Download HTTP canary app
2. Open HTTP Canary app
3. Start the update by pressing "download" and don't pause it
4. Go back to canary app and start it and it will grab the link for you

I got in to the beta. I have a Galaxy S22 from T-Mobile. Unfortunately, I don't know how to capture an update zip. Sorry I wasn't able to help out.

Given that you said T-Mobile, I'm assuming yours is a Snapdragon model. I should still ask, how's the performance on A13? The lag on the Exynos model is kililng me, and its an probably OS version agnostic problem, but I thought I should ask.

It has been great. I'm not seeing any lag. The only issue I have is sometimes my 5G is slow at work but that is because there is no signal in parts of the building.
It does seem to be a bit snappier than my Pixel 6 Pro. I have had my Pixel 6 Pro on bit A12 and the A13 beta. Too bad the S22 Ultra costs so much or I would have got that one. This 6.1" screen is gonna take getting used to, especially coming from a OnePlus 10 Pro on the line that I have the S22 on.

Wish that would've been my experience. Latest stable update (august A12) and this phone is still slower than a god damned S4 mini.
On the screen side, I had wanted to get something smaller after the OnePlus 6t so I'm fine with the 6.1". Cameras are good, display is good, battery life is ok, audio is good, but the SoC (or its firmware/drivers/whatever) is horrendous. Worst phone I've owned in a decade.

Hi,
I've used HttpCanary to capture the update link, however I am on an unlocked variant of the S22 (S901U1). I hope this helps in your findings. This is on the MetroPCS CSC (TMK), however it should auto-switch CSCs.

AVG8 still didn't work for me to install the one ui 5 update. I decided go go back to AVF7 build and try it and it worked perfectly now.
If you will, you can capture future one ui 5 update link and post them here. Thanks for your help.

Huh, that's interesting. I can see if it'll let me downgrade and then capture another update for you? I'll let you know.

I'd just tried to see if I could downgrade and it wants me to wipe all of my data again, though I have a backup it'd take a long time to restore. So I'll try to get it as soon as I can, if not a future OneUI 5 update.
Have you tried using the
Code:
adb sideload
function? I'm not sure if that'd work but you have to rename the .bin to "update.zip" and sideload it, and then it's installed if it all goes right.

S901U1 is not S901U. U1 is unlocked, U is carrier. Be careful. You might need a modded Odin or be very selective about the slots you flash.

Receiving Wrong OTA

Hey! So here is a weird thing I'm noticing with Nexus 5X's running on T-Mobile...
With three Nexus 5X's confirmed thus far (including my own) got the NRD90R build of 7.0. That build is meant for the Pixel C, Nexus 9, Nexus Player.
But everyone else and their mother got the phone version NRD90S when popping over to 7.0.
So I'm interested. Are you on T-Mobile with your Nexus 5X, is your build number wrong?
Did T-Mobile mess up? Did Google mess up?
Spooky. And a bit concerning? #BugLife
Hi, I leave in france and it's same for me. First I received the NRD90S version after a re-installation I received NRD90R release. I do not know why. Maybe there was a bug on the other version. We'll see; if it's a mistake Google will send a patch.

Explication... So when you are regiteredin the beta programme, you receive NRD90S and when you unsubscribing you, you running on NRD90R. That's what I make this morning after my latest post and now I have NRD90S version..:good:
No, the different between NRD90R and NRD90S is just single patch for japan emergency broadcast. Both are fine as long as you're not in Japan.

You can have, so far, a fair number of treble GSIs to be flashed. It's a good start.
It would be far way better to get a good kernel development, IMHO.
Lets hope for a official one!

Looking at the threads related to treble stuff, onscreen FP seems to be a common issue, even if it could vary device by device. Same for camera (Gcam ports wise) and other minor bugs. If you are looking for some AOSP, at the moment GSIs are the only option available.
You must check for some development of sd710/712 devices to understand if some porting/development could be operated in a short while.
This phone has just been released in Europe. Should it be necessary to share a third-party system after a few months?
So when will we see the rom for our devices? It has been 2 weeks since closing fundraising

Relax, man. First, buying the device is not very easy in Brazil, I heard. Second, after buying the device, the dev (as everyone) needs to wait 1-1,5 or even 2 weeks until he can unlock bootloader. So maybe he has not even unlocked bootloader yet and you already panic.
As said above, it had been made a fundraising for a developer from pixel experience to buy the Mi 9 SE and build a rom for it. The goal was reached on 06/26, so the development may already have started or he's waiting for the device to arrive or unlock bootloader. We soon should see the first builds I guess. Let's wait a bit.
any news for this ? like "developer already got the device and are waiting for unlocking keys" or "developer is working on PE" ? anything ??

It took me a month, since I ordered my phone, to get it ready for custom roms.

I really wish there was a non MIUI stable, fully working custom rom out there. I tried the available options. But, for now, Xiaomi.eu 9.6.27 + Okita kernel (+ Debloater tool) remais the best combination for me.

I installed it a little while ago. No new camera stuff, but on June patch now.
The new update for the exynos is a major one for the camera and also the kernel ... no more jitters and frame drops way faster and smoother now

ah thank you. but its SM-G975U, i am on SM-G975F.
Lets see if there will be an update for this, too.
As far as I can tell ASF7 does not address the battery drain at all. It's just a security update and a new bootloader.
Note ASF7 is for the U.S. SD variant.
ASF7 kernel version is .78
ASF3 kernel version is .85

I'd say deffo worth it. Just looked on Mi store but couldn't see it for this price - £329 only. But yeah, if you can get one new for £250 it's for sure worth it. A while ago I paid £200 for a used one on ebay with a scratch on the screen, that was when they were selling for £300+ for a new one, so your £250 is great. Much, much faster and better built than the Alldocube iPlay 40 it replaced - even though this had more ram, the ram as a guess was slower. This Mi Pad is snappy. Let me/us know if you have any more questions

Fair do, think that's what I bought my dad for birthday. Yeah, it's not too shabby either. Couple of extra GB ram in the Mi pad though, unless you have the 128GB version - think that's got 6GB too. Hope you like it, not bad after selling the Lenovo, getting the Pad 5 for about £100 - niice!
You gonna flash another rom or leave it stock for a while? Running AwakenOS on mine, I'm told it's the best rom for now, even though it's an initial build iirc

Hmm, I'm no expert but I would recommend updating to last MIUI 13 before the upgrade to 14, just to be safe. In theory, though, it shouldn't matter, as you'll be flashing the full rom so it should go through fine
