Question Change firmware is possible? - Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G

Hello .. good .. how can I update to the firmware version of July or August? Since I am in the April Fimrware, my phone was from an operator here in my country, but it is unlocked since I use it with an operator other than the original .. but looking for myself realized that the version of the software is the last that launched the official operator .. the CSC is TGP/TGP/TGP (Tigo Operator), can I change this?

Mobile network not available

Hi everyone,
Got the above message on a Galaxy Y GT-S5360 in the UK.
Always just used it as an MP3 player so never used it to make calls, etc. Was running Jellyblast V3 previously (had no network on that either) but decided to return to stock and use the phone.
Flashed S5360_XXLA2_OXXLA2_XXLA2_by_Doky.zip via ODIN so now have the following:
PDA: S5360XXLA2
PHONE: S5360XXLA2
CSC: S5360XXLA2
Android version: 2.3.6
Baseband version: S5360XXLA2
I’ve looked on XDA and throughout the internet but can’t find an answer. I am probably making a silly mistake. Not had this problem before with a long time flashing on my S2
Any ideas?
Thank you
Tim
Maybe you don't have a sim card? Haha

Thanks for the reply. The SIM card is fine. Works on another phone. How do I know which is the correct CSC? I assumed the one that was flashed match the modem and PDA.
Thanks

My father-in-law got it from Carphone Warehouse in Chester in the UK about a year or so ago.
He used it for a while with an Orange PAYG SIM then gave it to me. I put another Orange SIM in it but never used it as a phone and flashed a custom ROM immediately. I played a lot of music on it and have been trying to get a network on it. I have tried the Orange SIM I put in it and also an O" PAYG SIM which I bought yesterday. Both show no network available, whatever I dial.
Thanks again

You have to choose the correct ROM first. So if your phone is SM-A505F you need that ROM. Not recommended to use other ROMs like SM-A505 FN, G etc.
Once you have the correct ROM (must be newer than your current) use Odin 3.13 or newer to flash your phone . before flashing do back up and then remove all accounts!!! Then remove your SIM and memocard and do hard reset. Connect to Odin in download mode and flash. Wait till its completely finished and boot up your phone. 1st boot can take up to 10 minutes, once you see the Start screen insert the SIM card from desired region and let the phone restart again.
My phone for some reason picked up CAC product code (Uzbekistan). Flashed latest ROM inserted my Vodafone SIM and after restart my phone was on BTU (UK unbranded).

OK I investigate a bit today
looks like I was able to change CSC from ROM to FTM (Freanch Orange) using brand Orange from Poland (OPV) - all was done with JUN patch the same patch level files
I would like to change from ROM to XEO (Poland unbranded) and for this I did not found any way to work

I think that it's somehow let you change the CSC only one time... I recalling that I was able to do it on my A50 and A70 but only one time...
in my case it is more like I can change to branded CSC like orange or T-Mobile ( did this few time) but it not give me Poland as a country
I cannot change to unbranded CSC like XEO - it always show ROM as active CSC (softwanre CSC it is showing XEO) but for example news I have from Romania

You didn't say what region you want. In my case I was after UK (BTU) or Germany (DBT).
Do hard reset (sim and memory card remove). Turn on phone without sim and wait until it says No sim inserted. Insert the sim from region or country you want to have on your phone.
Make sure you have multi CSC ROM. In my case it was ok. Changed from CAC to BTU.

There's no LTE/4G only mode. So if this is what you want no need for flashing different ROM.

how to Update using ODIN

Hello
i don't know if this question was asked before i tried to search but nothing
i came from xperia xz and flashing was just as easy as downloading the FTF and flashing in flash mod
i bought my S9 that was stuck at 1 Dec 2018 software and no new updates are available (even with smart switch) to download so my best solution is to update it manually using ODIN
i used to have a galaxy gear watch and s5 and flashing was also simple but i came across a thread that said something about CSC Version and i am sacred that i may brick the phone while trying to update it
can someone point me in the right directions ?
my CSC : G960FOXM2CRLI

If there are no updated KSA firmwares for your S9, flash any CSC for the G960F, Germany (DBT ) has the latest June update
If you have KSA sim card need to flash KSA firmware with only Home CSC also and if you have EGY sim card and will come OTA downloads
KSA/KSA,KSA/XSG

Well yes you need CSCs to match for OTA, but it is not necessary for normal usage, once my region releases the latest update I will flash back for OTA
so it's normal to flaash any firmware even if the CSC doesn't match? only the phone model number right? flashing on ODIN like thr normal way kust like the s5? nothing else need to be done ? like enabling/disabling stuff on developper options ? OEM unlock? sorry for my noobies questions

Normal if your own region CSC has not updated their firmware yes, but you will not receive OTA updates until the CSCs match and will have to flash manually each update
There is a big thread about it so I'm not going to go into it in detail here, quick search should find what you need
Nothing else needed, boot to download mode and flash with Odin 3.13.1

Recommended Firmware for Unbranding a Samsung Galaxy S20+ (SM-G985F)

Hello community!
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S20+ (SM-G985F) which is carrier branded and sim locked. I am looking to remove the carrier branding by using a unbranded firmware. I am trying to find an unbranded firmware that will not affect the functionalities of the phone ( VoLTE, VoWiFi etc..) . Would this be done by finding a firmware with same PDA but different CSC?
Current Branded Firmware:
Version G985FXXU3ATG4 / G985FOWA3ATG4 / G985FXXU3ATG4
Product Code: PGU
Would this firmware work?
Product code LUX
PDA G985FXXU3ATG4
CSC G985FOXM3ATG9
Thanks in advance for your help!
@servenaya
if you have a sim card of Guatemala and you want to keep VoLTE, VoWiFi etc.. for this country
install Version PDA G985FXXU3ATG4-CSC G985FOXM3ATG9
and change your CSC to GTO ( with préconfiguration for TIGO_CGU , PCW_PA and Claro_DR )
LUX have only préconfiguration for Luxemburg ( Proximus , POST , Tango , Telenet , Orange B and LUX )
regards

@yakapa40, thank you! This information is very helpful. I do have a Claro Guatemalan sim and even though the carrier does not support VoLTE, or VoWifi, I would like to keep this features in case they implement them in the future. I did find a firmware with the recommended PDA and CSC (Country South East Europe, Product code: SEE, PDA: G985FXXU3ATG4, CSS: G985FOXM3ATG9). Would this firmware work? From what understand, I would have to first flash this firmware, then change de CSC with Samkey to GTO and lastly, factory restore the phone. Is this correct?
Also, would you recommend using Samkey to perform a carrier unlock before changing the CSC or could I do it later on? I read that Samkey only works for phones that dont ask for unlock code. Mine does ask for a code when I insert another carrier's sim.
Thanks in advance for your help!

@yakapa40 Thank you for your help. You are extremely knowledgeable on this topic! To be honest, I just realize how little I know about flashing even though I've been doing it since 2012. I feel like I understand firmware flashing less than I did before.
I just have a last question. If I flash the firmware with a CSC NEE, and than do the CSC change to GTO, which CSC will be used for future OTA updates? What I mean is, if there is a new NEE firmware will I get it, or will I have to wait for a new GTO update? Sorry, I am little confused with all of this.
G985F OXM is a multi CSC so if you flash the firmware with a CSC NEE , you will get XEF CSC by default
, and when you change to GTO you will get GTO OTA updates

@yakapa40, I was finally able to flash the phone. I followed the steps and got the GTO CSC and the unbranded firmware working! Thank you for helping me throughout the whole process. The only down side was that I still lost the VoLTE and VoWifi options. When I look at the Sim Card Status menu, the IMS registration Status is "not registered". :crying:
