Transferring from Huawei back to S9 - Samsung Galaxy S9 Questions & Answers

Hi All
Wife decided to get a new huawei phone but has nor finally realised the error in her decision with the lack of apps now not working due to no Google play services.
Am now trying to transfer back to her old S9 and no transfer app is working. Phoneclone, smart switch etc so am now stuck. Have made a backup with Hisuite on laptop but cannot see how to make a backup on the Huawei to google drive.
IS there a manual way to import SMS.db into the S9 for messages and same for contacts? Where in the S9 file structure are the sms messages stored?
Many thanks

Pixel "Switch" transfer from android & iOS

So the website has some description of what can be transferred.. Tbh all my photos and vids are in g photos, I use hangouts and fb messenger so my messages are backed up on a server, use Google contacts that sync when u log into the phone.
I was hoping the true advantage of the cable transfer was to bring app data across, not having to log into 30 different apps will be an advantage. Half my apps don't have an export button (I know I can transfer some via PC)
Does anyone have any more info on this? Literally half the reason I root is to use titanium backup to restore my data on a new ROM xD (I'm coming from a OnePlus two but if there's info about iOS for others that would be useful!)

Xperia Transfer not working as promised

Greetings everyone,
I am starting this thread to ask for your help once again. Today, my girlfriend bought a brand new Xperia XA-1. Since her previous mobile was an Xperia L, i figured we could go ahead and use the Xperia Transfer application to make the transition as painless as possible. I installed the application directly from the Play Store in the old Xperia L and launched it in both devices. I then set the Xperia L on "Send" and the Xperia XA-1 on "Receive". I then made the connection via NFC.
After the process ended her contacts, call log, the SMS messages and a couple of multimedia files stored in the mobile were transfered successfully. Even though Sony states that transfering between 2 Xperia models can also transfer installed apps, accounts and home layout, this is sadly not the case for me. I managed to synchronise all of her accounts, but there is a fair share of applications (and their data) that has to be transfered somehow. So, why is the app NOT working as advertised? I have considered Titanium backup, but it requires a rooted device to work. Any recommendations will be much appreciated.

Hi
Does she have the same Google account in the two Sony?
The first time we tried she didn't, then i tried again with the same google account synchronised with both devices but still no joy... We ended up reinstalling the apps manualy, a very frustrating task...

Hi
So I think it didn't work because L has Android 4.4, instead xa1 has 7. So some apps weren't updated to last version in L, because no longer supported.

Setting up as new or transferring?

Curious what everyone is doing - setting the new phone up from scratch or using the data transfer to move everything over from your old phone? I'm on the fence. Kind of want to start fresh but not looking forward to reconfiguring apps and manually moving over the data I want to keep on my new XL. There's some things like pictures and videos I don't want or need to bring over.
I transferred from my Nexus 6P
I did a backup restore of my pixel xl. It installed all the same apps in the same places in my launcher and I was able to transfer all my text messages over.
Not sure why you'd want a fresh start... won't make any difference. All you'd be doing with a fresh start is manually doing what the transfer would do...
I tried the data transfer from Moto Z Play but didn't work out kept disconnecting on the Moto side.. Restored from Google app ...

I used the data transfer tool but text messages were severly screwed up so I used a seperate app for that (SMS backup and restore). That worked perfectly. All my apps were transferred over, along with app data for apps that actually are programmed to backup their app data to google drive. Unfortunately not that many apps do that, so I still had to configure a bunch of apps. Titanium Backup has spoiled me rotten and not having root really sucks right now
The only thing that was missed in my transfer were wifi networks... of 23 saved networks, only 3 were restored. No idea why, major pain in the butt.
Did a data transfer from my Pixel XL. Went very smoothly. Some app data transferred over, allowing apps to boot right up without needing to sign into them again while some didn't. All of my texts, wi-fi networks, and call history appear to be intact.

GT2e health data is not synced and I want to change phone

Hi,
Have the GT2e watch
Currently, I don't have any option in the health app to backup my data to the cloud.
currently, I have a Xiaomi mi 9 lite phone and I'm about to get a new one (probably another Xiaomiu) soon.
I'm not rooted ATM - is there a way for me to somehow backup all of the health data so it'll be transferred to my next phone?
Thanks
It should be synced to the cloud automatically(or manually) in the Health app, afaik
Well it doesn't (I read somewhere that it might be related to the region)
Looking for another way to backup without using root
No other way. Sign in in Huawei health app somehow
I did and it won't do anything.... I was looking for a way to do it from outside of the app like any other Android app that you can backup

Question Any complete backup solutions?

Are there any viable thorough backup solutions that don't require root?
My fold is dying (sound has completely stopped working, large screen is just black, no warranty as the seller from facebook marketplace failed to provide a receipt) and I want to move absolutely everything over to my new phone of the same model.
Is there a way to backup and restore all of the following?
- settings and accounts, homescreen layout and widgets
- apps and app data (including apps installed directly through apk file or outside of play store)
- SMS
- entire contents of internalSD
I know I can do all of these tasks individually and manually, I was just wondering if there
was an app for android that can do all of the above in one go? Every backup solution I've attempted
always seem to leave me having to setup a few things manually afterwards.
I've tried Samsung Smart Switch but it seems to leave out quite a few apps and app data.
Cloud backup probably isn't feasible as I have over 400gb of data on the phone.
Can I somehow clone one phone to the other?
