Development [KERNEL] Requiem-Kernel for OnePlus 9 series - OnePlus 9 Pro

/* Disclaimer */
Your warranty is now void.
I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this kernel
before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you. Hard. A lot.
/* Features */
Fully rebased kernel without unnecessary OnePlus code
Latest CAF msm-5.4 kernel fully merged
Latest Linux v5.4 subversion merged
Latest Google’s security fix merged
Modules support disabled for lighter kernel
Latest Wi-Fi drivers from Qualcomm with customized config
Built with Clang 15
Power optimizations
More to come soon
/* Notice */
This kernel is not based on the stock OxygenOS kernel source provided by OnePlus.
Only the necessary parts from the OnePlus kernel have been added, such as device specific drivers.
This effectively kills all kernel modifications/optimizations from OnePlus.
OxygenOS 11 is not supported.
Non-OxygenOS custom ROMs are supported.
Custom ROMs that uses OxygenOS 12 kernel and vendor, including LineageOS 19.1, are supported.
As of right now, the tri-state-key does not work. Any post complaining about this will be ignored.
Due to recent f2fs changes in kernel, you may need a format post flashing the kernel.
This kernel touches vendor_boot, boot and dtbo partitions, meaning you'd need to restore said partitions whenever you're switching to another kernel or stock.
Please make a back-up of these partitions.
Installing the stock ROM with a full OTA restores said partitions as well.

Successfully flashed with kernel flasher app on OP9 upon lineage 19. Got a warning message about internal problem on start up but seems ok. Didn't need to format.

you can ignore that warning, its due to modules being disabled.

up to you?
that warning occurs when userspace reads /proc/config.gz and throws out an error message after boot completes. In a nutshell its just eye candy and nothing is really broken.

Fastest kernel I've ever used

Hi @Rasenkai99,
Download links must be able to be used without registering at an external site. The easiest way to test if a download link will meet this specification is to right-click the link and open in Incognito mode (Chrome), or Private window (Firefox) or InPrivate window (Edge). If you can get to the place to download the file(s) without logging in to the site from there, then it's acceptable as long as it also meets all our other rules.
Please change Downloads Channel to a link that will work for anyone without registering elsewhere within 24 hours of now. I will be monitoring the thread and looking for the change.
Reference the details of using Telegram for download links in the stickied post at the top of each section "[General] [INFO] Device Forum Rules (Please Read before Posting)", specifically Post #5 "WhatsApp/Telegram Groups and Channels - Going Forward"

WhatsApp/Telegram Groups and Channels - Going Forward
Hello XDA family! Just notifying all members that posting certain links to Telegram and other sites like WhatsApp is now allowed on XDA.
What does that mean?
We will allow links to messages on Telegram and/or other platforms anywhere, as long as they provide content for a discussion, question, or is pertinent news. This is exactly like the guidelines for YouTube links.
What about download links?
Download links from hosts, platforms or other sources are allowed as long as they do not require registration. Some Telegram links require registration for downloads, so they will not be allowed. Please check them before posting.
What is NOT changing?
Only one link to a Telegram support group is allowed in the first post of a development thread on the condition that main support is still provided on XDA. This means you can mention Telegram group: https://t.me/abc in the first post as long as you're providing thorough support in your XDA thread.
What is NOT allowed?
Posts like For support, join my Telegram group: https://t.me/abc. This means you're not willing to provide support to users on XDA.
Drop-and-run posts/threads are still not allowed under the self-promotion rule. So posts/threads like "Come to my channel for xyz" or "Watch my video and like my channel" are still not allowed. Such links will be removed and the member will be contacted regarding XDA Forum Rule #5 for self-promotion (under bullet point #6):
We thank all members for their cooperation in this matter, and wish you a pleasant stay on XDA.
Regards,
Your XDA Moderating Team

Happy to see some more kernels for A12

I guess I didn't get it right. Apologize my inconvenience, but does this kernel work on stock and custom oos12 roms?

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Requirements
* You must read this post completely
* You must have flashed a stock MM update to update the firmware to a version that is compatible with these builds. Search xda for the best way to do so for your device.
* You must use the search first and make sure your question has not been answered yet!
Important note:
Stock Firmware B360 is known to cause bootloops!
All others might work, please do not ask in here how to up- or downgrade!
Known Issues
* See the official wiki
* See a webarchive-extract of the post above: wiki page in archive

Before posting on this thread, make sure of a few things:
You've utilized the search function of the forums. Nothing irritates us more than lazy people who do not search for an answer before asking or ask the same question over and over again.
If you are the only one having a problem. Boot into recovery, wipe data/factory reset, reflash the rom/gapps and nothing else. Boot up and see if the problem persists.
LOGS LOGS LOGS!!!! Use this: SysLog by Tortel
If you have a hard reboot (to the vendor boot logo, not the CM boot logo), use adb or any other file explorer tool to pull a copy of
/sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops (command: adb pull /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops)
after the reboot and provide that.
Note: We will not support any kind of modification on the ROM not done by our sources. If you are running XPosed, Kernel Booster or whatever occurs to you, we won't support you in any way. The problem will in every case be treated as the additional softwares' fault (because often it is!)
Download Links
Note:
As of 24th of december, the CyanogenMod infrastructure was shut down.
To further provide you with updates please use the unofficial downloads provided @

Google apps addon:
(Note: Not required to run the ROM)
We are using Open GApps (Link) Arm64 version. (make sure to use 64bit when using other packages), others might also be working
Note: In case you want to use any gapps, YOU MUST install the right gapps the first time that you flash a marshmallow ROM. Do not boot with an older gapps or without one and then try to install it later.
Note: If you install a package which replaces the default dialer (mostly "Stock Gapps") you have to go to Settings->Apps->Gear-Icon and set the new dialer as a default telephony app to prevent force closing of apps

If all goes well, in the next run of builds on the CM servers you will be now getting official updates.
When that happens, I'll turn off my unofficial builds and request that the unofficial thread be closed to avoid confusion.
The official builds should be exactly the same with a few minor points:
* You no longer have to trust that I'm not evil and doing something nasty to your builds because a neutral third party is building them. Don't worry, I wasn't doing anything to the builds but keep that in mind when flashing random builds...
* You will now be able to download OTA updates.
* You will now be able to get changelogs (via cmxlog.
The only real negative is that my builds tend to be more predictable because I'm building only a handful of devices instead of running a much larger build system like CM does. If a build is slow, don't worry it will come...
Wow, that's great news! Thank you so much for all of your hard work, we really appreciate all the time and effort you put into making this project grow to become a success!
I hope others will also understand the painstaking steps you go through to add or resolve any issue instead of outright demanding a feature in the future. (you know exactly what I'm talking about, I won't even mention those dreaded words that you have ignored.) You deserve a medal, man.
New to the honor thanks for this love cm!!!

Assuming its still a nightly, will we be able to just dirty flash the official build over the unofficial build with no problem? Or will we need to do a clean flash.
Also Amazing work guys!
I am running 21/7/16 build whether shall I flash official build over unofficial?

@Lonath: The same as in the unofficial thread applies here: You have to READ and SEARCH before posting.
See the third!!! post for your answer! And just to add: I won't accept as many stupid posts again and will talk to the mods if there's smth we can do against that, once I get annoyed further....
@Sasi4385: None of the builds on crpalmer's server are the official ones, none has been built yet. The link will be updated to somewhere at downloads.cyanogenmord.org where the official ones will be available soon
@bullet25: You are lucky that currently it's only a switch of build server (crpalmer -> cyanogenmod server) so it's basically the same as before, just the download source will change (as soon as an official build is online)

I can confirm the message above. I tried updating OTA from the 01Aug2016 unofficial and it happened. Then I wiped everything and did a clean install with OpenGapps on top. It happened just the same.
For me, the reboot trigger is pressing "back" to return from an app into the home screen.

@koenkk great to see you move to the 5 from the 3/3T (My dad has a 3 and your builds, they're super smooth ) Now I did install your today's build. I'm F2FS for data, that's working (it's working in RR too)! Thank you for being the first!
Not working (Used LOS 7/12, Opengapps Pico 7/12, F2FS and Factory Reset):

Doesn't shutdown/restart very gracefully (had to Hard Reset)

Nice
ok
Not that it is a big problem but I have no success with installing the ROM. the recovery indicates that the zip is corrupt. And also the zip looks different from other zip's is there perhaps a different procedure to install this ROM?
Again it is not a big problem since the ROM is still unstable, but it would be nice to try out the ROM.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.0 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

[TWRP][UNOFFICIAL] TWRP 3.3.1-0 for Realme X [RMX1901]

Team Win Recovery Project 3.x, or twrp3 for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. Its a fully touch driven user interface no more volume rocker or power buttons to mash. The GUI is also fully XML driven and completely theme-able. You can change just about every aspect of the look and feel.
Code:
#include <std_disclaimer.h>
/*
*
* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this recovery
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you.
* I am not your help desk.
Prerequisites
1. Unlocked bootloader
2. Patience (even i was unable to unlock for 4-6 hours and also fastboot was hanging while flashing twrp for testing, changing USB port worked. My first build was stuck in splash screen for infinite time, it happens keep patience)
Bugs
1. Maybe under your bed !
2. If you have found a bug/issue, please consider posting it to my GitHub Issues.
Instructions
1. Boot into fastboot mode by adb reboot bootloader or key combo, doesn't matter.
2. Download the twrp image following the link in the download section and transfer it to the adb folder (or add adb to PATH for universal access).
3. Open the cmd/terminal and change directory into the adb folder (or where you downloaded twrp image).
4. Now confirm/check that device is connected by typing:-
Code:
fastboot devices
If you got your device seriel number there then you are ready to continue otherwise try connecting device again and make sure USB debugging is on and you have granted permission to the PC to debug, linux users may need to change connection type to transfer files from charging only.
5. After that we will flash this TWRP recovery to the recovery partition by below command:-
Code:
fastboot flash recovery <twrp-name.img>
BooM ! TWRP flashed successfully.
6. Now unplug your device and then select recovery mode by pressing vol down/up and boot into twrp mode.
Note: Right after flashing twrp & booting into it, format data and flash Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt for persistence twrp. Otherwise as soon as you boot to system, it's gonna replaced by stock recovery. Another option is to flash PBRP zip, if Disable_Dm-Verity_ForceEncrypt didn't work, PBRP by default have decryption patch.

Hi OP,
What's the difference between your one and this one?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...very-unofficial-twrp-realme-x-stable-t3959556
And please do not label unofficial TWRP as official, "going to be supported officially soon". I have changed title for you.

Oh, you are the moderator who asked for answer. I missed it untill oswald's PM. Very busy in real life and also for this device kernel. Also to be noted suffering from severe back pain.
Let me ask you one question: What is the difference between TWRP images, let's say you compiled and i compiled both from omni android-9.0. The thing is this post you are seeing could be here 33 days ago but i waited for the device so that i don't brick others device. There will be some changes later, when kernel is ready. for now it's working.
With due respect and humble submission, i want a small declaration from you, if you are going to update the new build links, add a FAQ section i won't have to write official or unofficial in future. You are going to update it right ? At the moment the gerrit patch got merged, i expect you to change title from unofficial to official.
I can't say same thing to each and every mod ... (i am stupid i could have added you as cc/bcc for the PM i answered).
A few last words, "Respect Should Be Earned, Not Given".

Keep up the good work?
Thanks for TWRP. Any Idea when would custom ROMs start rolling in? I recently read that XDA sent out devices to devs for development.

HI Chandan,

I am searching the net but can't find it. Is this Oneos based on miui?
Hi I followed instructions and installed. I'm experiencing random reboots and magisk not passing safetynet. I'm on OOS 10.0.13 had to revert back to my previous ROM. Will there be more customization features in future builds? Thanks

Its mentioned in the flash instructions.
For those who want to flash OneOS:
flash OOS11 to both slots
download it https://download.project-oneos.org/hotdog/recovery.img
and then
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash recovery_a recovery.img
fastboot flash recovery_b recovery.img
then reboot your phone(note: From my experience, this recovery can only support sideload, you cannot enter the recovery and get a graphical interface to wipe/install/others...)
adb reboot sideload
adb sideload <rom package zip>(note: must be the newest build (https://download.project-oneos.org/hotdog/OneOS-3.1-STABLE-GApps-20210410-0722-hotdog.zip) you can get the newest download link from the telegram group)
If the status is 0, you flash it successfully.
Finally, you click reboot system, it will ask you to format the data. Click yes to format, then reboot your phone.
Enjoy.
