How to setup the voicemail with AT&T?

my VM does not function when someone calls my number. When called the systems askes for the 9 diget number to ID the box. When entered the system tells me it can not find the VM box.
I'm using Non-ATT stock ROM. It was working with ATT original ROM.
Anybody has the same problem? or know how to fix it?
I had this and called AT&T and they fixed it.... I went from Iphone to the tilt 2 and I think they still had it as Visual voicemail and they needed to reset it.
Go into phone options, then click around until you see TTY, voicemail and tex, call forwarding, etc. Highlight voicemail and text and click get, etc.
It will connect to ATT and pop up the numbers. You then enter in the correct number.
To get the correc #, you need to call ATT or check a few peoples phone that is in your city, and with ATT and see what they have.
^ good call tatung70, thanks.

SIM Card Voicemail Number

I seem to have deleted my voicemail number off of my sim card. I can go into settings and add a voicemail number but if I try to I get a message like "unable to change voicemail number. If the problem persists contact your carrier." On top of that I don't want it set to my cell number because then I will have to enter my password everytime which I don't want to do. It was set to something else before. Is contacting T-mobile my only option or is there a way to retrieve and set the voicemail number again?
I set my cell phone number as the VM number but it never asks me for a password... Try it from your cell and see if you have any luck. If not, you will probably have to contact the provider.
I've always been able to just dial 123.. never prompts me for a pw.
I have been a t-mo customer for a looooong time though so I don't know if this is just something that has trickled down over the years.
if you are tmobile US the vm number is 8056377243.
that is the same number everyone on the american network has.
but what I'm wondering is, Why didn't you just call customer service? Or better yet GOOGLE it? I know it's a crazy concept but sometimes you have to think outside the box ey?

CM10 Dialer Issue? (Rogers)

I'm experiencing an odd issue when attempting to enter my voicemail password with either the CM9/CM10 Dialer. The odd thing is I remember my Galaxy S2 19100 had the same issue. Whenever I need to enter in numerical passwords via the dialer while on a call, the numbers don't seem to register properly.
For example, if my password was 1234 and I pushed 1234 quickly, it seems to get entered as 1222334 or something similar. To workaround this, I need to enter the numbers in very slowly with about 2 second pauses between each number.. Does anyone know of a way to solve this?

Click to collapse
Can not reproduce this on CM10 also on Rogers.

Speed dial issues

When I try to dial from speed dial on my brand new HTC One X, I get the following error.
"Connection problem or Invalid MMI code"
Does anybody know the solution to this problem?

invalid short code

Stock Virgin HTC One V CDMA -rooted- ... Trying to enter a local contest by entering a text message and sending to 79640 - I get returned "You rec'd this msg because you sent a text to a number without the area code or used an invalid short code or you are blocked from using this service. Msg 2133"
Anyone else on Virgin not able to send like this?
Anyone know if Virgin has this ability blocked?
Short codes don't work on VM
Evidently Virgin doesn't allow you to dial anything shorter than a full number (area code + phone number).
