Landscape shortcut

Hi, i'm looking for a lanscape shortcut icon to go on the bottom right corner of the screen like the xda mini's. (this is needed for me)
Do what I did and assign button 9 as Rotate screen.
Button 9 is on the slide out keyboard at the very bottom. On my version it was a useless O2 button which did much the same as the IE button on the front of the phone, I only have to slide the keyboard out a tiny bit to access it. You could also consider re-assigning one of the other application buttons on the front of the phone if you didn't want to open the keyboard at all.
Check out phm tools. I think in the key tools there's a link to rotate left/right

hi, thatnks for the replies. i used the 9 button to for landscape mode

Inbox/List Navigation

Guys n Gals,
Is there a way to get some permanent soft nav (up/down) buttons in the inbox or anywhere where there is a list? The TP2 does not have a dpad and list navigation is a real pain because I have to have the virtual keyboard up to access the up/down buttons.

[IDEA] Text navigation using soft keys

Does anyone know if it would possible to make a Nav bar mod which allows you to move the cursor left and right by swiping along the nav bar.
Kind of like a virtual track ball. Maybe even a new key you can add in that responds to swipes rather than press.
BUMP
I guess this a feature not many people would find useful.

Click to expand...
Click to collapse
Most custom roms have option to move cursor with volume buttons.

Capacitive buttons, navigation bar and PIE control

Hi guys,
Ok, so I'm coming from an old Nexus 4 on which I was used to do everything with one hand (right).
I was used to Pie Control, and completely remove my software navigation bar (qemu.hw.mainkeys=1 in build.prop)
Now, I'd like to do quite the same thing with my OP3, but I'm struggling a bit.
As you know, with OOS, we can use either:
Capacitive Buttons
On-screen navigation bar
When I use Pie Controls (either LMT or GravityBox) and set the navigation to capacitive buttons, it's mostly OK, but there's always the unintentional touch, especially when holding the device in landscape mode.
When I set the navigation to on-screen buttons (but don't use them), "Back" and "Home" simple tap on Pie Control doesn't work at all (Longpress's and Recent simple tap work fine, though).
I tried fiddling with build.prop but didn't manage to disable both altogether.
Code:
# enable navigation bar
#ifdef VENDOR_EDIT
#[email protected] disable navigation bar
#qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
#else
qemu.hw.mainkeys=0
#endif
Anyone knows how to disable both capacitive buttons AND standard software navigation bar ?
If it's possible to stay on OOS for the moment, that would be great
Thanks in advance.
Yes, something is strange in OOS in that respect.
I use GMD Gesture Control (like I do always on every device), but if I use the on-screen navbar instead of the capacitve buttons, "back" gesture doesn't work anymore. Home gesture works.
Perhaps someone could shed some light onto what the causes could be...
Anyone find a fix for this?

LOS16: any way to change nav bar settings?

Hi,
is there any way to config nav bar settings with LOS16 and BQ Auqaris X Pro?
I need menu button and want to use this with double click or long press for Home button?
any solution for this?
thanks for any hints and tips
got a tip otherwise: Button Mapper
https://labs.xda-developers.com/store/app/flar2.homebutton
Am I right that this allows the mapping of the physical buttons but not that the nav bar is visible again? I didn't find a way to make it visible after switching to LOS.
I using free version of button mapper only and only for emulating the missing HOME button
this works
I do not know an option for making nav bar visible again
