Hello, maybe someone can help me.
I have a 43" 43P735 and live in Australia.
Yesterday a message appeared about an update. It updated to: V8-R51MT05-LF1V496.020729. Now I also use the TV as monitor and the PC Picture Mode is perfect for this.
After the update I noticed the image was worse and I believe that it applies the sharpening setting (I believe it is called clarity) to PC Picture Mode. Now PC Picture Mode doesn't have a clarity slider, as it disables any post processing to get a clean computer image.
I did a factory reset hoping it would go back to previous software, but no luck.
What are my options? I have contacted TCL support through the Australian web page, but not reply yet as it is the weekend...

Thank you I installed IMG V8-R51MT05-LF1V464 and the issue is resolved again. I will follow up with TCL so they can address this in future versions. Other models might also be affected...

Read in other threads how to flash IMG (PKG.BIN or similar).
I beleive you must unrar and inside must be SINGLE file,which copy to USB 2.0 FAT32 .
TV should be Off and must press and hold TV power button, untill flashing start.
Sometime need to change USB.

If anyone reading this was wondering how to do it:
Droped the pkg-file on a FAT32-formated USBstick, put it in the Service-USB. Unplug TV from wall, hold down the power-button on the back of the TV, then plug it back into the wall. Within seconds the message "Update starting" message came up. Let go of the power-button and let it work. Took aprox 30 min

I'm facing an issue with Thomson 49uc6406.
This is not able to boot at all.
I'm trying to wake it up with various found files, one of them made a half job, and I was able to get to the Thomson logo.
The biggest problem is that on tcl website or thomson web there are no files available.
Totally no support for this device.
Can anyone help me with this tv set? I can provide ftp if needed.

Managed to flash the TV. After turning off, will not come back. I think it is a fault of the mainboard - memories.
When it is able to boot its all okay. Just cannot be turned off.

There is no pkg file for this platform.
Try OTA (V237) zip file rename to ..."Update.zip"....(do not unzip).
the update is done but non picture after the logo Thomson, only a black screen with backlight.
Do you have a idea of the problem and could you help me?
