Question How to unlock 120 hz in dex mode Samsung? - Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

hi all. tell me please - how can I unlock 120 hz mode in Samsung dex? I know that it used to be, then after the update it became 60, but perhaps some information remained in the old kernels. maybe you need a custom kernel...

Do custom ROM change the default SAR radiation value of samsung galaxy note 2?

You can usually check the SAR value (which is the radiation level of your device) using *#07# but that does't seem to work in the custom ROM ( I am running unofficial cyanogen mod by IVAN MELER)
So my question is, is there a way to know the SAR in a custom ROM? Will a custom ROM change the default Radiation level? Is it a matter of concern?
Please do reply.. thank you

Galaxy a7 2017

There are many custom ROM for A5 and A3 but unfortunately no buddy comes with A7 2017
Very big strange
I am also wondering this. Seems like no one love A7 here.
Not exactly.

There are a few custom ROMs for A7 2017 32GB model (A720F), you can find them here on XDA.
But I suggest care, there's talk the latest official firmware version blocks customization...
TWRP for example will cause a system lock and your phone can end up a nice paperweight (brick).
Also, don't block OEM RESET (always Allow Oem Reset in Developer options) if you use root / customs.
Samsung security may get you a FRP LOCK should you want to reflash.
Odin won't help if you need to downgrade to an older version (like a backup).
Fixes for such a situation are difficult at the moment.
I'm facing it right now and don't know if my phone will be back up and running again
ODIN'd a Stock Recovery and CP ROM, let's see in some hours!

Hummm!
Current situation: FRP lock.
Phone won't get off the boot logo (white screen, "Powered by Android") and FRP/OEM lock are in effect.
I relly shouldn't have fiddle with the new "Directional Lock" feature - Wich can't be disabled, btw.
For anyone in the same situation, pc tricks zone has some remedy but not for A720 at the moment.
I should also point that tutorial videos show an anti-virus alert they claim to be a false positive, but I don't know
- Can't be sure for I didn't try it, but one can't be too cautious. The tool (ADB enabler for FRP) was clean here, says Avira.
But I'm still stuck with ADB/sideload disabled, the stock ROM I found on updato is in ZIP format, useless for ODIN and ADB-e.
ROM files can't simply be converted from ZIP to TAR, they must be cooked - With a "kitchen" tool and a lot of proper knowledge that I, a simple noob/leecher, don't have.
So until finding a TAR file for stock Android 7 (Rev 2) I'm denied access to my US$400 phone just cause Samsung says so.
[A little rant, if I may]
Thanks Samsung will (greed) to enter the digital payment market and enforce security, I, a simple home user who likes the cool mods, debloated systems, freedom and privacy of a custom ROM, (not to mention A720 camera software sucks,) am locked out of my (theirs?) phone. Not buying Sammy again...

Right, Elite was first I saw a few months back. Not much custom, just stock with a few adjustments,
but thanks the guy who gave us at least that.
Considering A7 is the worst snapper phone I saw so far and it is not even mentioned in Samsung's USA support site,
nobody will care to develop, I guess.
The A7 is dead. Hello chimium (chinese cheap premium)?

Download the latest firmware from www.sammobile.com/firmwares and the latest Odin release, reboot to download mode, flash the 4 files in their appropriate slots using the home_csc file instead of the other CSC so that it fully resets your phone. Reboot, log in to your Google acct, restore it to how you want it, get that app from the play store and if the problem persists, then the sensors in your phone might be damaged somehow

i dont think its a probleme with the sensor .i find a thread talking about the same probleme look here (https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s9/help/cpu-temperature-reading-galaxy-s9-t3842889) (looking at @locan reponse and the latest reponse of @*Detection* ) and in the play store in CPU-Z app in the comment a person write (i have an s10 exynos and the option of thermal its not working) so do you think like me that cpu app now with the new phone (exynos model) cant read the cpu thermal?

no, i dont think that is the issue. dont get me wrong tho, i am fully aware that it could be an incompatibility issue, but one would think that others with xynos processors would have the same issue. Flash the stock firmware and try it again, or see if you can find anyone on here with a G960F who is willing to try that app for ya. Detection is a very good forum member, knowledgeable and willing to share without being too much of a ****. The stuff about the S10 would be totally different tho. Teh S9 has been out for over 18 mos and it would stand to reason that bugs like that rendering the app useless for millions of S9s would be fixed by now

S20 Ultra Custom Rom and Kernel

I'm sure that someone has already asked this question here before, but I'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff for the most part, the only editing I've ever done is through root browser on parallel space. My question is though, what would I want to install for a custom rom and kernel (or whatever) to be able to dedicate more of my RAM to gaming on my phone. I currently play fortnite the most and since Android 11 it runs like **** and prior to Android 11 I was able to run it at 120FPS on parallel space. Even if I can't run it at 120, if I can just get some help on the best rom and kernel to optimize gaming in general that would be great too.

How to *DISABLE* fast charging on a Treble GSI?

First, I know that most people will be interested in having fast charging working. However, I want to know how to disable it. Mainly for battery longevity reasons. Via a Magisk module, terminal command, GUI, etc. Whatever works.
Device details:
Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ (Model: SM-T970, wifi only variant)
Currently running the latest Android 11 BUJ3 stock firmware
Is already rooted with latest Magisk, and TWRP by @ianmacd
Device is running stock kernel (no custom kernels are available for my variant)
Stock kernel fully supports fast charging
I know that this device can run a GSI, so therefore it supports Treble. A few months ago I was able to boot Google's official Android 12L GSI, but I didn't like the experience.
In the stock firmware, there is a toggle in the Settings app that disables/enables fast charging (enabled is the default option). I'm unsure what sysfs variable (/sys/*) this changes, or if it changes a system property. But I'm sure it must interact with the kernel in some way.
On older devices I have owned, there is a file at:
/sys/kernel/fast_charge/force_fast_charge. I could change the value inside it to 1 for enable, or 0 for disable. But this file doesn't exist at this location on my tab. I couldnt find it anywhere in /sys/. So the toggle in settings must be changing something else.
Stock and GSI ROMs use the same boot.img/kernel. So if it can be disabled on stock, then logically the same must be true for a GSI.
This is literally the only thing preventing me from migrating from stock to a custom GSI ROM. Any help here is appreciated. BTW, if you're just going to post along the lines of "dude, just use fast charging"...no, just no. Don't waste your time or mine. I will not argue with these people. I've been slow charging my devices for years, I'm 110% convinced that it increases battery longevity and reduces battery heat.
