BYJULES WANG
For your Pixel comes soft chirps, hums, and strums
Fall may have arrived in the northern hemisphere, but Google's definitely in spring renewal mode right now with an assortment of hardware launches — not the least among them being the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. In that spirit, the company is pulsing out some new sounds for all Pixel owners to enjoy.

A new set of ringtones, notification sounds, and alarms (actually, a dozen of each) under the umbrella heading of Natural Elements should be popping up on your Pixel right about now — 9to5Google noticed this on the Pixel 7 units they received as well as a Pixel 6 Pro, but the new sounds also appeared on my Pixel 6a. These compositions take plenty of inspiration from the prototypical ideas we all get about nature from the animals that inhabit the wilds to the winds, rain, and rivers that ebb and flow. Strings, woodwinds, and rattles accompany some of these sounds if not drive the pieces as a whole forward.
Hit up the Sounds section of the system settings and you should be able to spot the changes for yourself — keep an eye out for a v3.0 (472386834) update to the Sounds app on the Play Store or, if you'd rather just take the initiative, download it from APK Mirror.
Below is a full listing of titles of the Natural Elements sounds:

My thoughts exactly. Let's hope some form of 'skinning' is possible.
It's very ugly..Zune HD like....
Super ugly !!!
The homescreen is ugly, but the rest of the OS is very elegant and simple. You guys should watch demos on youtube you will be blown away. MS said that there gonna be tight on OEM customization, but I think their still gonna allow some customization for OEM to stand out from the competition. You guys REALLY need to try out the demo site: http://www.windowsphone7series.com/
i think also it is nice and clear - thats what i want - no overfilling with buttons and things from tabs and options on the "homescreen"
it remember me more of that TouchOne skin - where u move up - down - left and right to reach specific screens instead of using a tabsborder. people often forget that we use such phones also in cars and while walking - so we need a sure and failsafe surface with not to small buttons (at least less).
if anybody knows a good and fast! UI for Wm6.5 let me know - new sense is nice looking but still i search for something simplier to use/touch UI
First impressions...
It looks overly simplified, and more like an art project - or a set of 'design placeholders' that mark areas still needed to be finished in detail.
I question a lot of real-life interactivity with the device, it seems a little silly having the text of the hub cropped off screen.
It wouldn't surprise me if the the API's for this are very basic (aka. simple gadgets) - I have a feeling this isn't designed to run apps in the traditional sense.

The first Toshiba IS12T WP7.1

The first Toshiba phone "IS12T" running WP7.1 will be released in Japan in september.

So, does this mean that either a) we are going to have more color options for themes in Mango final, or b) handset makers are now able to set their own theme colors? Because some of the system tile colors in this video and other photos of this new phone are clearly not what we have today (like the gray - I want gray!).

Well, I know Orange UK had their own colour (I bet you can't guess what it was...) which was different to the standard colours - so, yeah, I'm sure OEMs can if carriers can.

No pixel wallpapers

Got my new 3a XL and there are no pixel wallpapers. Even the default wallpaper is not a pixel wallpaper.
What the hell?

I find the lack of other items (especially #teampixel swag) equally odd - and especially given the hashtag appears on the packaging itself. Is the wallpaper at least available on the Play Store? (I have complained about the lack of #teampixel swag with the #missedopportunity - aimed directly at Google - this is the first wide-targeting Google -approved device since the Nexus days - and the first wide-target Pixel in North America at all - and Google - which is normally at least decent at merchandising - blows it THIS big?)
Not worth getting revved up, the apks for the wallpaper are available and can be installed without root.

General Google brings Material You to your Pixel's boot screen

https://www.androidpolice.com/material-you-comes-to-your-pixels-boot-screen/
We noticed that Google's extensive changelog for the latest Feature Drop delivered one enjoyable surprise: Material You-themed dynamic boot screens. We didn't know what that would look like at the time, but here are a handful of examples that show off the colors you might see courtesy of an updated Pixel 5a.

The feature itself wasn't a surprise, but we were expecting this to arrive later in Android 12L (that upcoming version of Android 12 meant to roll out new features and enhancements for big screens). That wasn't exactly an official timeline, though, and it looks like Google was able to deliver it early, and it looks and works mostly great.
So far as we can tell, it should be available for all currently supported Pixels — that's the Pixel 3a/3a XL, 4/ 4 XL, 4a, 4a 5G, Pixel 5, and Pixel 5a. The Pixel 6 and 6 Pro don't have the update just yet and won't until next week, but we assume it will work on those phones as well once it lands. The Pixel 3 series is no longer supported, and though it will get one last bug-fixing update, it's not clear if it will include things from the December 2021 Feature Drop update. For context, the Pixel 2 series did not get Feature Drop changes for December 2020 in its final roundup update.
If the images and video above don't do enough to explain what's happening, the short version is that Material You colors now sync through to the Pixel boot screen as well when running the latest update. The Google logo itself, which appears first, retains its standard brand-identifying colors. But the animation that turns into the Google G (and the associated loading bar) will both pull from your phone's Material You background-inherited colors instead. Sometimes the colors blend into each other pretty well; other times they stand out with stark contrast — the same issue Material You can have as an accent in other places depending on the colors it chooses.
In my testing, it worked mostly fine, but I once rebooted to see the default colors appear, even though I had Material You colors applied to other parts of the software. Your mileage may vary. Paired with the dark theme boot screen Pixels have enjoyed for some years now, Google's keeping things snazzy, even when rebooting.

Question Teasing February 13th..

What is going on February 13th? I tried googling it, but no luck. I literally have mine boxed up to go back, debating if I should keep it lol.
Speaking of teasing, where did you hear anything regarding February 13th regarding Google or Pixel?

Ah, that one just refers to a teaser they made for the Pixel 6 with a focus on the true tone camera capability, they will release/show a video about it in the half-time of the next Super Bowl.
It's a new marketing campaign with the slogan #SeenOnPixel, designed to sell more of the sold-out Pixel 6.
There's nothing new, it's just a video about the Pixel we already have.

Google's increased advertising for the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro will continue at the Super Bowl with a focus on the camera's Real Tone capability...
