I personally don't have an EID since I don't have an E sim but what you should see would be basically equivalent to your SIM number if you have an E sim that is

Yes but is it capable of an eSIM? It should should say "Not Available" if it's not capable right?

Honor 6X supports Dual card Dual standby

Honor 6X supports only dual card dual standby single pass, which means you cannot use both SIM cards for calls or data services simultaneously.
When you are on a call using SIM card 1, SIM card 2 cannot be used to make or answer calls. If someone calls SIM card 2, the caller will hear a voice message
similar to "The subscriber you dialed is out of the service area" or simlar to that depending on your service provider.
Similarly when you are using SIM card 1's data service, SIM card 2's data service will be disabled.
Why Single Pass ?
Honor 6X single pass feature helps reduce power consumption and increase the phone's standby time.

As you have mentioned JIO, I would like to confirm once whether you are using JIO voice app for outgoing call (LTE voice Call) ?
Bcos, while we are having outgoing call from JIO voice app, If we get any incoming call in 2nd SIM, the JIO data is disconnected which disconnects the call through it.
If we reject the call in that other SIM, then JIO network gets connected and JIO calls gets re-connected (If the intermediate time is less)

The same happens with my Honor 5X too. That's why confirmed.
Also, I need to know one thing. VoLTE is different for different networks or regions?

Seems that the chinese variant supports B3 and B40 LTE. So now LTE is getting connected in JIO. But VoLTE doesn't work?

VOLTE work with Jio app only and not regular dialer...seems because its Chinese version and not compatible. heard that Letv also has same issue but was resolved with software update. once we have Indian version binaries out, we will try to upgrade and see.

Can't be because of the sim because I usually do this when I use the phone as a hot-spot to keep the phone in 4g. But I haven't used this option in a while, about the same time I upgraded to ob21... I just wanted to make sure it's not because of it. Thank you

Seriously now, tried but no luck
What I know, there must exist support on Phone (ok), SIM (ok), LTE (ok) and telecom provider (nok). Phone must be on "white list". I have the same problem.
I had success eith this om SIM1 only when I first got my OP3T, but now it doesnt work any more It still switches to 3g for calls whereas before it did not, but dropped the calls.
I need LTE only often where 3g and 4g are both bad and the phone keeps rolling over between the two. I just need net at that time.
Anyone succeeded in ysimg some app for this?

Dual SIM card issue

I have 2 SIM cards (Swiss and Thai). Both cards are working fine as single ones in Slot 1 and 2. When I add both SIM cards one slot always gets inactive.
Any idea ?

can't really help here, but i can confirm that the phone works fine with 2 active SIMs, i do it all the time.
Regarding to the band?
I think you have to make sure that two sim-cards are all using EvDO or not.
Because Snapdragon 835 and its base doesn't support two cards with both EvDO 1x or 3G,so even you're all using FDD-LTE ,they're all not supported.
Hope I can help you .

This may be obvious but make sure you have designated which slots are for voice and data. Try changing your mobile bands (Fdd-lte, wcdma, cdma etc) to match each sim card through *#*#4636#*#*. Manually select the roaming network for your Thai sim. I can't think of anything else.

The only other thing I can think of is going to settings/sim & mobile networks. Check the mobile network settings for sim 2 and if it's on auto then try and choose another local mobile network manually.

Better than my Mi Mix w/ 2 sims...
My Mi Mix 2 with both sims works much better than the same sims on my Mi Mix 1.
The Mi Mix 1, and 2, will only have Data capability on one of two choices (very few smartphones can do both, but, there are some). I am presently still boot loader locked and on Miui 9 (puke) and I find the selection from sim 1 or 2 when dealing or texting is not as functional than when I was using Non OEM roms on my mi mix 1....
I think the difference can also be related to the wider choices of bands available to the Mi Mix 2 global edition. There is no issues with LTE data connection and speed, like I experienced with the Mi Mix.
Glad you got it to work... was it down to apn settings???
Cheers

It seems sim 2 was defaulting to an incompatible network. Do people still have to input apn settings? I haven't done that on a phone in about 5 years. It's automatic these days.

Wifi Calling & VoLTE - missing in settings

Just wondering, i've seen this being an issue, but just wanted to have confirmation here.
Is Wifi Calling and VoLTE "carrier" issue, or google or how does it really work on a Pixel. I know that on samsung and huawei, it's just in the settings and you can enable or disable them. Apparently on the 3XL it should be in > settings> Network and Internet >Mobile networks. But i just don't have it... any ideas how i can get it? my provider (Swisscom) has that option on all other phones, except my 3XL.
Ideas?
same hereinstalling the volte enabler in magisk enables wifi calling option but not volte

So basically need to root and get it done with magisk...okidoki. But there should be another way to make it work. No VoLTE is shame also.
Is there a specific reason it doesn't show by default in the settings? Where does this issue come from? Google or the carrier? Thanks for your input.

Call your carrier and make sure your account is provisioned for those features.
You may also need a new SIM card to enable them.
It may also be that your carrier doesn't support those features on that phone.

Open the phone app, tap the 3 dots in upper right. That's where you should find WiFi calling and video calling.

That's location of VoLTE, or "Advanced Calling"

Indeed, but if I'm not wrong Verizon has dedicated ROMs right? I'm curious to know about the international , unlocked version...wonder if I'm the only one on this boat, or if the magisk trick will make it work. I can't see how my carrier can change the settings , that don't even show up in my settings. If they were grayed out ok, but not even showing I assume it's another issue
So, got off the call with the Swisscom hotline... and they said that VoLTE and WifiCalling (advanced settings) are enabled by default, and then depending of the phone manufacturer to see if it's enabled or not in their settings.
Bottom line, it's on Google's shoulders to enable it.... but on google's page it says this : Wifi Calling
BUT When i go into >phone>settings>calls > call forwarding ... i get a message saying "Call setting error Network or SIM card error" ... which by my logic (maybe i'm wrong) that the phone doesn't recognize my SIM card "well enough", thus not having the advanced settings to enable VoLTE or Wifi Calling.
I called my carrier, asked them to reset my SIM card... and same issue.
So it's to my eyes, 100% a google issue.
should be somewhere in factory settings like the op6 we had to go to #*#*4362 or something like that to enable it

Sim cards can go bad, hence your sim card error. Sometimes, you just need to go to your carrier, show them the error, and make them replace the sim.
