Broken display or other problem? - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I bought another broken SM-T805 and when i start it (cold start) takes about 15 seconds before the screen starts to malfunktion.
It starts to show small multi colored LCD defects on the left side and it ends up showing like you can see on the picture. The screen works to use and all other functions works.
What I can see and feel is that the temperature is sometimes a bit high on the processor and the screen. I have tried to change motherboard (SM-T800) and another battery, but the problem is still there. I havenĀ“t been able to use another LCD-cable.
What do you think? Is the display broken beyond repair or could it be another problem?

Check the ribbon cable is seated properly in the FFC connector on the motherboard
Be careful with the locking tab. Panel I guess could be faulty

as this is a surely hardware problem, are there any other solutions than:
a. buy a new LCD screen (hard to find)
b. buy a new phone
thanks for the help guys
bump..........
Sorry
Since it is a hardware problem, I can't think of any other solution besides purchasing another LCD/phone. I'm sorry.
That said, I have put my defy underwater many times. The touch screen stop working when wet, but I had no issues with it once it dried. Maybe the problem was from the impact?

[Q] Screen colors messed up (Ribbon?)

Hello Desire Z community.
I have met following issues with a Desire Z, and with a little bit of searching it appears that the ribbon might be broken inside the phone (The pictures are enormous):

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
However, after opening the phone and taking a look at the ribbon, it *seems* to be fine. There is no clear tearing in the ribbon, and it seems like it is OK overall. Can someone of you confirm whether this issue is caused by the ribbon, or by some other variable (screen, bad connectors maybe)?
The screen is distorted, and opening the keyboard "changes" the distortion. Also touching the ribbon while keeping the keyboard half-opened modifies the distortion.
This is my dad's phone, and he rather uses the phone in this condition than his Galaxy S4 :highfive:
Video of the issue:
(Yes, I recorded it without too much effort, don't hate me )

screen flickering and week wifi sensor

So I had my lg g3 started flickering suddenly, I didn't know what to do. this issue: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9SqLlDOU1E
After a little research I found this solution: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y12XCmAYTbw
I tried it and it worked fine for now(a week passed).
but since i have done the paper thing, my wifi signal is very low, even when my router I very close to me.
Any knows how to fix it? maybe change the placment of the paper?
Thanks.
Put a piece of folded paper between processor and body. Make sure paper push the processor and the size of folded paper nearly same as processor, so pressure on full processor not only at one point and put a small piece of folded paper on camera connector. May be it will solve your problem. Good Luck [emoji106]

tablet isn't starting anymore

I have a Note 2014 without a customer rom. It did run fine without problems. Suddenly I had a pink background color out of nowhere. Then I tried to restart. I can see the first Samsung text during start and then it becomes black. I can repeat this but apart from Samsung starting text nothing happens...
after a while it started but the colors are still strange... what can this be?

Hi there,
Don't worry. I am almost sure this is the ribbon of the LCD that moved. It is a common issue with this tablet. Mine was "broken" 3 weeks ago after 4 years of usage. The fix is freaking simple. It took me literally less than 10 minutes. Take the back off, and plug the LCD ribbon back in its connector and put some tape on it so it stays firmly in place. You have plenty of post on the internet showing how to fix in detail. I had no issue since then.
Cheers
Laurent

Possible missing internet ribbon

Hi all,
Recently picked up a Samsung Tab 3 with a smashed screen and broken charging port. Replaced the charging port now and hooked it up to power supply. Had no life, plugged it into PC so i could hear the chime when it does turn on and it connected straight away so there is power there.
When looking at the back just now, I have the gold ribbon from the screen on the left, new black ribbon from charging port and that's all. Looking online and the back of the tablet, it looks as though there should be a third ribbon on the other side? Is this right? If so, what is that ribbon for and where could i pick one up.
If it should power on without it, will a cracked screen matter? I have not received the new screen yet but the digitizer is in good shape, ,cracked screen plugged in. Will the cracked screen matter or should i still see some life on there?
