Question Urgent help needed - Wi-Fi doesn't toggle on, phone unusable after reset - Samsung Galaxy S21 FE

Hi,
The device I currently own (SM-G990U AT&T) was purchased from a third party three months ago.
Until two days ago, the phone worked perfectly. In the morning, I woke up without any notifications, which has never happened before. Upon further inspection, I discovered the Wi-Fi switch had been turned off, which was very awkward. Within 6 hours of turning the Wi-Fi back on, I noticed it was once again off, and it would turn off every 10 mins to an hour. The first day, I ignored the issue because I was pretty busy, but today things got worse. The Wi-Fi will toggle off every 5 seconds or so at most. It would eventually stop turning on and the icon would remain a lighter shade of blue (loading).
It seemed to stay on longer while downloading files or making online phone calls (Could be wrong, but willing to test this)
Here's what I've tried so far:
- Delete the most recently downloaded apps
- Checked Wi-Fi settings for Wi-Fi control history and others
- Removed Wi-Fi control permissions
- Reset Network settings
- Update software (Odin)
- Downgrade Software (Odin)
- Factory Reset (Recovery mode, CSC file Odin)
After about 5 factory resets, Wi-Fi worked for about 10 minutes (I couldn't get past the FRP without connecting to Wi-Fi - thought the phone was toast). Please help me here if you can, because I don't know what else to do.

Have you tried checking your battery saver program to see if it's the problem? I would also check your connection settings and make sure they are set to default.

[Q] Galaxy Nexus connection stops working (can't call/text or go online)

Hi,
I've had my Galaxy Nexus for over 2 years now, and never had any major problems with it. However, over the past month I've been having a problem where my network connection stops working. I can't call, text or go online. I also can't receive calls or texts. When this happens, the connectivity icon still has 4 bars (or 3 or whatever).
In the past if I had network problems, I would put it in airplane mode and then turn it off, and this would reset the connection and fix it. Now, when I try to put it in airplane mode, nothing happens. The connectivity icon disappears, but the airplane icon does not appear. Then there's nothing I can do except reboot the phone. I can't even turn airplane mode off because the option is greyed out.
At first I thought I could fix the problem by resetting the phone to factory settings. That didn't work. So 2 weeks ago I installed Cyanogenmod 11, and the problem persists.
Yesterday I installed an app called "Restart Connection", but it hasn't happened since yesterday so I'm not sure if this will work or not. The problem is not regular. It can happen twice in a day, or it can not happen for 3-4 days in a row.
I'm not sure where to go from here. I've tried Googling but can't really find anything quite like this. It wouldn't be so bad if I knew when it happened, but if I don't happen to be using my phone, it can happen and then no one can call or text me until I realize that the problem is happening, so I can be without a connection for hours at a time before noticing.
Anyone have any idea what could be causing this and if there is a fix?
Thanks!

SM-N7505 Wi-Fi not turning on

Hi everyone,
I'm having serious problems with my Wi-Fi on my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Neo (SM-N7505). Whenever I click the button to activate the Wi-Fi, the icon goes from grey to a dull green (darker than the bright green which signals that a function is turned on), as it does when it's trying to turn itself on. Problem is, instead of turning on, it just stays in that state for a few minutes before reverting to grey. This has gone on for a while, and I've already tried several possible solutions which I found after online searches. I don't think it's a hardware issue (see point 1 for the reason), and I really hope it isn't, because my warranty has been voided due to rooting, so I can't have my phone replaced or repaired unless I pay for it (which I can't at the moment). So, I'm basically ignoring the possibility of hardware failure and trying every possible software solution, hoping one of them will work, otherwise I'm just stuck with no Wi-Fi. These are the fixes I've tried:
1) Take out the battery while the phone is on, wait a few seconds, then put it back in and boot the phone up. This used to work when the problem first presented itself a few months ago (which is why I don't think it's a hardware issue), and I've been since using this method to fix it whenever it happened again. But a few days ago, this method stopped working for whatever reason, so I was back to square one.
2) I tried renaming the data/misc/wifi/wpa_supplicant.conf file, which seems to have worked for some people, but not for me.
3) I tried updating the version from Kitkat to the recent Lollipop, hoping that would fix it, but nope.
4) I tried deleting practically every single app one by one, hoping that one of them was interfering with the Wi-Fi somehow, but nope.
5) As a last resort, I tried a factory reset, but not even that worked.
This is basically the long and short of what I've tried to fix this... I might've skipped a few of the simpler fixes I tried (for example, I just remember I tried disabling "Smart Network Switch", which seemed to do it for some people), but the big stuff is all there.
I'd really like to get my Wi-Fi back, so if anyone could help me fix this thing I'd be really grateful!
Thanks in advance to anyone who will bother to reply.
same problem dude
Same problem...wifi and bluetooth not working...pls help us
Same Problem for me, Initally it works fine even after updating Official Lollipop update (OTA), but after few months now wifi & bluetooth are not working for me. And finally faced battery drain issue for past few days. Battery goes down upto 20% per hour even in idle condition. Then i rooted & installed Note Rom & even after i face the same problem. Is there any way to fix?

Wi-Fi turns on then back off

Hello! So this issue started about 2 weeks ago for me. Whenever I turn my wifi off, the phone will turn the wifi back on for 0.5-1.0 seconds then it will turn it back off. This happens nonstop. The issue persisted even when the phone was in safe mode and still continues even after 3 full factory data resets and wiping the cache partition 3 times as well. I did this through recovery mode. Nothing changed. When this is happening, it seems to drain my battery significantly. The only fix I have found for it has been to leave my wifi on all the time, even when I am not connected to or near a wifi hotspot. The issue also does not happen when the phone is in airplane mode. Also, I did not receive any software updates around the time this issue started happening. I have tried Googling and contacting Samsung and could not come up with a fix.
Is anyone else having or had this issue? If so, did you find any fix? Thanks!
If this thread needs to be moved to the help/troubleshooting section, please tell me how to do that, or do that yourself if you would like mods. This is my first time starting a thread so I am sorry if I put it in the wrong place.
Possible Fix
My Note 7 and S7 Edge were doing the same. I fixed it by disabling "Wifi scanning even while Wifi is turned off" in location settings.

Phone locking up after full charge

The last two times I allowed my phone to charge fully, the phone locked up (would not come on when the power button was pressed) and I had to do a soft reset (hold the power button for 30 seconds). This happened on two different chargers with two different cables (one of which is the factory set). Thus, the issue is almost certainly not hardware related.
There have been no changes to my phone, no newly installed apps, etc. There have been a number of app updates, including several Google/Android core apps, and I am wondering if one of those could be the problem. (After the first time the phone locked, I updated the kernel to the latest version, i.e., PQ3A.190801.022. Note also that the phone is rooted with Magisk.)
Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, what did you do to resolve it? What can I do to try to figure out why this is happening?

Try replicating it in safe mode to rule out 3rd party apps.
I'm having the same issue the last 2 weeks. I haven't updated any apps and I have auto updates off. No changes to my phone since the end of august and it just started doing this.
Were you able to figure out what was causing it? My issues occur using a 5W Qi charger. So it is definitely not cable/charger related.
Sorry to report, but I have no idea. Since having posted my question, my phone has been behaving properly.
I've got the same issue on 10. I put my phone on a pixel stand at night and when I wake up I have to do a soft reboot to get the screen to turn on. Reverted back to Pie and the issue went away. Flashed the Oct factory image for 10 including wiping data and the issue returned. Booted into safe mode last night. Woke up this morning and had to force a reboot to get the screen to turn on.

Weird. I'm still on 9 that was working fine and no update that I know of.
I confirmed the issue with both QI charging and cable charging on my phone.
I've taken to making sure my phone is charged before bed and just pulling it off the charger before going to sleep. Since my phone is also my alarm and having it go unresponsive is no good. Only looses about 3% battery overnight.
Well, not sure what happened but the day before yesterday my phone did it's usual lock up while charging requiring a reboot. Unusually after reboot if I logged on too fast it would immediately shutdown. But for some reason this time it took me 7-8 tries to get in. I haven't updated any apps, changed any modules in Magisk or anything. It just went to almost boot looping.
As soon as I got it stable I popped into Magisk and looked at what modules were there. I noticed I had added Substratum previously, to try and do a dark theme, but apparently I never removed or disabled it. I disabled all the modules and suddenly no more problems. Reboots without shutting down after log in and no longer locking up on the charger.
I removed two audio mods (audio compatibility patch and audio modification library), as well as substratum. Three of 5 mods I had downloaded.
I am currently only have Active Edge Mod and V4A legacy FX for mods and my phone is now working fine. If it changes I'll let you guys know.

Question Lock Screen rejects correct password after Nov update

Hello!
Around Nov. 11th, I followed on-screen prompts for firmware update (I believe the fall One UI 5.0) on my Galaxy S22. Put in the password I've used since I activated the phone in July to "complete the update" after system restart, but device won't take it and I have only a few "attempts" remaining.
Phone is Verizon, no luck with Samsung Find My Mobile; Google's Android Device Manager won't even _ring_ the phone (it showed the correct GPS location at first, but not after I let the phone die and charged it up again ... tried resetting password from here, but even several soft resets later, it now reads device cannot be reached and shows a generic map with no pin).
I've heard of people soft-resetting until it works, but I don't want to waste more attempts with the only password I've ever used (definitely used the eyeball icon to make make sure I'm typing it in right!). No way to roll back the update or reinstall it? So much data since my last backup :-/
Any ideas for last attempts into the phone before factory reset? Willing to keep trying.

P.S. Was advised to move this post, hopefully I'm in the right channel now. I have pics / video to suppplement post if needed.
P.P.S. Noticing that Airplane mode looks to be enabled, but I seem able to hit WiFi icon and "connect" to home network over it.
This started happening to me today too, I have a galaxy a51 though. I recently updated as well a few days ago.
My pattern unlock worked fine earlier in the day. I put it on the charger and walked away for a while, when I came back the pattern that I've used for a long time no longer works. I've tried so many times it keeps locking me out in increasing increments of times... now it's counting down from an hour.
Soft resets did nothing, I tried many times. I don't have find my phone enabled or a samsung account linked, my google account is linked but unfortunately google forced me to set up 2FA a while ago so now I need my phone to get into that too!
The only other thing I've seen mentioned as a fix is to let the phone die completely then recharge it and see if it will accept the pattern. Mine is at 60% right now so it's going to take a while. I also don't want to factory reset as none of my data is backed up, unfortunately.
I feel like the update has to be related to this problem too. I've had several problems since doing that update and never had any of these issues prior. Did you ever figure anything out with yours?
