Can't install any apk, update from play store, or install from play store - LG G8 Questions & Answers

Out of nowhere I can't install or update anything on my G8 anymore. I figured it had to do with a magisk module so I disabled each and every module except for lsposed through zygisk, to no avail. My next step was to disable all of magisk clear all the data/cache on play store, play services, package manager, and download manager. That still didn't work. So I factory reset losing magisk altogether, still nothing. So I hard reset through recovery still nothing. I also repeated clearing cache/data after the resets. Has anyone else came across a problem like this and has a solution? Sometimes the error when installing an app is package not installed as it appears to be invalid. Yes, I am sure I downloaded the right apk. In the play store it will download to 100% and as soon as the install starts it just like resets like I never hit install. And on updates it will download 100% then stop on the update and it says couldn't update. I'm pulling my hair out here.
On a side note I had to drop twrp last week do to it being stuck on the twrp splash screen then restarting to twrp and doing the whole thing over again. Eventually I couldn't even boot into three os so I refreshed my original boot.bin that I patched with magisk previously
Edit
I installed aptoide and when trying to install am app out said I stl had root permission. And when trying to clear cache through recovery it throws an error art me. Nothing specific just says error. I guess next time I'm at my pc I'll reflash my boot files through qfil and try a factory reset afterwards.
Edit 2***
I was able to install the gta v ifruit app from apkmirror so my little niece could play with chop but even though it installed, when I open the app it says downloading application data failed. Anybody have a clue on wth is going on with my phone. I haven't restored factory yet because I'm kind off curious as to what is causing this problem. I was able to randomly install an app from the play store today after a data clear and restart. I'm thinking I true wipe/format isn't possible without twrp because this factory recovery isn't cutting it.

cannot install apps from Market

In the past few days my EVO 4G has started to have an issue with installing or updating apps from the PLAY STORE (Market). It will download to 100% but never start the install process. If I press cancel and then use root explorer to find the app download and then click on it, I get a PARSE ERROR. what is causing the google play store not to start the install process after download? I have tried clearing dalvik cache, regular cache,. play store data and cache, google services fraimwork data, download manager data.. nothing make it start the install process...
Any help would be appreciated.....
Update: I just tried to download and an update.. it got stuck sat 100% .. I am using MIKG 3.11 ROM ... I used task manager and CLICKED the X next to the play store and it then started to install the update.. what is causing this? This trick doesnt always work....

I've had this sort of issue on other ROMs before, but they never seem to be persistent. Reflashing is usually my solution...
Try clearing your cache first through recovery?

if you saw what I wrote, I did clean the cache.. and I am NOT reflashing... I dont think its a issue with my flash as it has been working for months.. this just started a few days ago. HOWEVER it seems if I let it download to 100%, then wait a few minutes then kill the play store (market), then it installs the app or the update
any other ideas??

[Q] [Redmi 1s] Can't download anything from playstore

Hi, i got the redmi1s few days ago. Today, i decided to root it and right after that i couldn't download anything from the playstore. It just keeps on buffering. Once in a while after rebooting it starts downloading but, it is freakishly slow. things that took 5 mins before takes more than half hour and/or it says couldn't download in the process.

I've tried clearing data, cache on the apps, factory reset, removing and adding back google account and other things that were suggested in the forum.
Edit: now i can't seem to install anything. While trying to install it says the file could not be parsed or something. Happens after rebooting the device.

Edit: Somehow, was able to download supersu from the playstore and it said no storage available while i haven't even installed anything happens when i'm installing externally.

So yeah, are there any solution/s for the following problems. I'm planning to flash a new rom, PAC. But, i've never fiddled around much before.
Try

have you tried APK file .Is apk file installing normally if yes then your play store is corrupted . simply flash stock rom back or check permission of play store ,seems binary has dome some messy work in your device during root permission . :fingers-crossed:

Good luck !

[Q] can't download after twrp su issue

Hi i had lollipop running flawlessly for a good while then noticed a small issue went to clear cache through twrp and i wasnt paying enough attention as it prompted me to install su and accidentally swiped it, phone was stuck on splash screen so i booted back into twrp factory reset the phone (advanced wipe selected everything) and reflashed the 5.0 bumped fix.zip and all is well..... Accept i cannot download anything other than playstore apps, so i cant use the update centre it tells me there are updates but selecting them makes them instantly try and fail, i think it could be 'Downloads' that needs to be updated to allow me to fix this but i cannot find the apk,
WHAT IVE TRIED
Ive cleared data and cache and force stopped any related apps ive tried multiple restarts, ive tried reflashing the bumpedfix.zip, oh and ive tried wifi and mobile data, its gotta be a read and write issue does this mean back to stock for me and update after?
Any ideas welcome

google play services keep stopping

Hi all,
Hope someone can help.
I've just upgraded to nougat cm14 on my D855, and it was working great, except the google play services keep stopping.
Tried to get and reinstall a fresh copy of gapps and when I use either the buttons or the reset menu, I'm unable to get into
bootloader, the twrp entry screen just comes on and locks the phone.
Other than that, the phone is working normally but without any of the gapps which means a lot of apps can't work.
Also tried a factory reset using the settings menu, and it still just goes to twrp screen. Oh, and tried to uninstall, reinstall TWRP and busybox from the apk which doesn't need bootloader but no difference.
adb is also no good, as it wants to enter into bootloader / recovery as well.
I don't mind factory resetting, deleting everything as I have good backups, whatever it takes to get it back working normally.
Can anyone help?
Many thanks!

**SOLVED**Playstore doesn't show app updates or shows installed apps

So I'm on the latest firmware, fresh flash with magisk, flash kernel, and xposed installed. It was working fine before but now it showes only what is In the attached screenshots. I have force stopped and cleared data from playstore, play services and play framework, as well as removed my Gmail account and rebooted and re-added my account. But it won't fix itself. No magisk add-ons or xposed modules should have any affect on this.
I've used the market doctor feature of Titanium backup to repair market links in the past. You could try that

I had the same issue after I had to clear thev data of the Playstore.
For me, nothing helped: I tried to delete my Google account and set it up again, I installed the newest version of Playstore and Play services from APKMirror and I tried some combinations of this.
The only thing which solved the issue was a clean install. I won't mess with the Playstore again
I had the same issue and i tried literally everything. The only thing that solved it was a factory reset. Also keep in mind that since that occurred any of your actions are not backed up in Google.
Ti backup fixed my playstore links, no need to factory reset
You just have to get the play store to be certified. Here is a quick guide that I wrote myself. It has worked 10 out of 10 times for me as well as my friends. Hope this helps. ?
To get playstore back to being verified. Long press the Google play store icon. Go into app info. Clear data, and data cache. Also hit disable...it will ask you to revert back to factory settings. Hit yes. After that enable playstore again. Reboot the phone. Once you reboot the phone...let it sit for a minute or two for everything to load. After waiting...open up playstore and do not touch anything. Again wait a minute or two for it to register your device. I usually wait until my screen turns off which is a minute. After you waited long enough, check to see if you're verified. If you're not...you have to do the process over again (clear cache, data, disable, reboot, etc) Just make sure you wait long enough this time.

I'll be a monkeys uncle. That worked, thanks!
In my case tibu didn't do anything but I never tried the disable method. I'll keep that in mind in case I hit this wall again.
