Question CAN F936U FLASH F936U1 Firmware? - Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4

hello,I want to F936U flash F936u1 Firmware,how can I do?

I'm absolutely sure that you can do that.
I have tried it yesterday and successfully changed the model.
But, you can't flash it via ordinary Odin. You have use a patched Odin which can be found in XDA and flash the u1 firmware in it.

我绝对确定你可以做到这一点。
我昨天试了一下,成功换了型号。
但是,你不能通过普通的 Odin 来刷机。您使用了一个可以在 XDA 中找到的修补过的 Odin,并在其中刷新 u1 固件。

I'll probably be trying this myself in the next few days. Will update if I do.

Let me know once you do it. Thx.

Ok I just flashed from U1 to a W ROM, specifically F936U1UES1AVJ1 (Android 12, XAA) to F936WVLU1BVK3 (13, XAC), and it all seems like it works fine. I'll update if I run into anything in the next few days.
Just a note that although it doesn't matter, it was originally a SM-F936U (updated to U1 then W)

Hey shorty I bought it used with U firmware and just to be safe to make sure it's stock and the fact U (and W) versions didn't get much updates, I flashed with the U1. Android 13 was released first for unbranded Canada XAC and since I'm actually using on Canadian networks, might as well. So far ok. No issues to report.

Hey I'm not too sure if you mean this, but yes mine is factory unlocked (actually a dev/demo device). And yes on Canadian network. You can always flash with the newest ATT ROM if yours is from ATT but hasn't gotten updates. Just make sure it indeed is the right model.

I did not keep user data so not sure if you can or should. But I think if you're switching model/CSC, the general consensus is to do a clean flash. If you just want to enable Canadian bands that are disabled on a US device, you can search up a way to do so I think using engineering mode.

If you're on any of the U or U1 firmware, I think you can safely flash to any other U/U1 without any issues. I usually cross reference with samfw and Frija too. Have a wonderful day too friend.

Would this enable Sim for phones without it? The SM-F9360 does not have esim support, could be software, I hope.

Can i go from U to W and then root? Or not possible?

Can I go from ATT and flash TMO variant if the model number is the same? SM-F936U? The phone is unlocked FYI. [email protected]

OREO Update ?

Has anyone here on Verizon gotten the OREO update or do we know if Verizon is included in the beta testing? I have seen that only the SM-G955U1 firm wares have received it. Just wondering and looking for info.
You'd need to flash the unlocked firmware to get the beta.
Ive read that the beta is going to Sprint and T-Mobile only US wise...unless you register from the unlocked firmware I guess. But there may be a way to get it on verizon if they pull the update before it installs.
I read that in the US it was only Sprint and T-Mobile, and the rest of the world had to be on unlocked firmware.

Ya I tried the unlocked firmware and still did not get it, must have been to late.
Everyone, all you need to do to get the beta, on ANY us s8 or s8+
1. Odin QG1
2. Apply QG1 To QGL ota (stock recovery)
3. Apply oreo beta aka QGL to ZQJJ (stock recovery)
That's it. Proven. Confirmed. Fool proof.

You need to get on QGL. Then apply the beta which is ZQJJ. But it's an update, only works from QGL. All of the files are in the att s8 and s8+ thread.

I got this to work on my Verizon Galaxy s8+. You need to install unlocked firmware and the Odin Verizon userdata file, then use Odin to install the at&t QG1, then adb update to the right QG1, then adb install QJJ. Then you are done, and you will have all the Verizon bloat, including wifi, video, and hd calling.
Edit: I also added a screenshot showing that I am on Oreo, and that my service provider is Verizon.
It works for all US s8 and s8+

I wasn't able to go to ATT QG1 with Verizon firmware installed, so I had to go to unlocked G955U1 fimwere then flash ATT G955USQS1AQG1, the adb update to ATT G955USQU1AQG1 and then adb update again to QJJ.
There are two different AQG1 builds, you need to be on QU1AQG1 not QS1QG1 to install the Oreo QJJ update via adb.
I heard you could just flash the unlocked firmware and use a Verizon sim. Nothing extra, info is posted on Galaxy S8 reddit
Ok I was on Verizon AQJA, odin back to Verizon AQGL and then flashed the ATT oreo update and ended up with all the Verizon bloat and everything in settings saying Verizon. I'm really interested in the answer to this question also. Can anyone please post an answer.
Can you please link the T835n update that you used. I'm still trying to figure out how to buy the right tablet off ebay that is unlocked.
Also did pie break anything on the tablet? I read something about a couple of programs didn't work anymore but can't find the thread now.
I want the LTE even though I have Verizon now I might switch to t-mobile if this works since my DW's iPad needs replacement soon. Because screw Verizon.

This thread has been dead a long time, but maybe this info will be useful for someone anyway ...
My Tab S4 SM-T830 died. Don't like the keyboard form factor on the Tab S6/S7 (very hard to use on a plane and I travel a lot) ...
So, bought an SM-T835N (new from S. Korea) that arrived today. Decided to risk flashing the UK version of the SM-T835 ROM (from Sammolbile) onto it, in theory, I could always reflash the original ROM if things didn't work out.
All good! The SM-T835N now reports as an SM-T835. Put in a Vodafone SIM and that works ... so, happy-chappy me!
Now have LTE/4G and 6GB of RAM

SM-G988W flash?

Hi folks, I came across several posts mentioning cross compatibility between the U and the U1 variants. I have a Samsung Canada bought unlocked Ultra with the 988W code. Since its a unlocked snapdragon version, could someone please let me know if I can use ODIN and flash the latest snapdragon compatible firmware or are there any restrictions? I am using the device in Canada with a Canadian sim, however the super delayed updates here have been beyond frustrating!
All help is appreciated.

I had to setup samsung pass again but it downloaded all my saved passes afterwards. Samsung pay seems to work with no errors. Same with samsung health.
Will this work with any SM-G988W (i.e. bought through a carrier)? I know in Canada all cell phones must be unlocked by law so I'm wondering if there is any difference vs one purchased directly through Samsung.
Update:
I pulled the trigger and loaded the T-Mobile ATE6 firmware on my Freedom Mobile purchased s20u phone with the home_csc option. As far as I can tell, everything is working as before (LTE, VoLTE, Wifi-calling).
Obviously YMMV, and make sure to backup beforehand.
Should work. All firmware is the same in Canada across all carriers from what I've seen.
https://samfw.com/firmware/SM-G988W
For the above link all carriers show G988WVLS1ATD3 having the same build date and md5 checksum (8955d9a2845891fe5c8b646b3835cddf) when you click on one of the links.

You folks should know that running a U or U1 fw in Canada makes you miss out on some carrier related features because the U and U1 are for USA. So LTE bands might be missing, WiFi calling, spam detection, Volte, etc...some or all of those features will be missing.

That sounds better. Once you are able to SIM-Unlock, you can Bootloader unlock and flash the Global firmware.
It's doable. The Global/EU ROMs will break your modem, so you'll have to re-flash your TMO modem back in order to get connectivity. I will not be making a guide until MSM is available.

You can ask the same for why they removed dual sim support on Global that's not opened up when you flash another region.
At a minimum, the T-Mobile ROM has device_policy.xml set explicitly to ssss single sim. Replacing it with dsds enabled device_policy.xml from another region crashes the modem. Flashing another region's modem.img does the same thing essentially.
But I am on EU OTA and working awesome. 5G coverage with T-Mobile

Really curious that Global or EU firmware would break 9 Pro on T Mobile.

Nope.
But I am still wondering why this would break if EU and Global work perfect with T Mobile. That is so weird. I have seen plenty of threads of T Mobile users unlocking and flashing Global without problems. This is first I have seen of this. This is so weird to me. Like doesn't make sense if EU and Global work with T Mobile so by switching it would stop working. That makes no sense to me.

If someone on an EU device want to send me their redacted qxn or trust me with their full qxn, I can test somethings out
That is crazy... Cause guaranteed T Mobile users have done this but I haven't read of modems crashing. Truly interesting.

I can almost guarantee you I'm one of the first LE2127 owner to unlock the bootloader and do this.
Why are you even arguing with me about a device you don't have, and whereas I can actually test this stuff and find out exactly what makes the modem power on again?

Flashing Note 10+ 5G with Stock Unbranded Firmware

Fellas, I have unlocked AT&T Note 10+ 5G that I am using with MetroPCS! I really don't like all the AT&T branding and AT&T Apps on it. How can flash it with a stock unbranded firmware like as if its a factory unlocked version. I know how to flash firmwares but wanted to confirm which firmware to use? Currently its on Android 10! Thank you in advance.
Have you sim unlocked?
You can flash the unlocked version.

you need to know the version of your phone - SM-N976U or what?
this is what you can find
https://samfrew.com/model/SM-N976U
Download Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ SM-N976B firmware
Download the latest Samsung firmware for Galaxy Note 10+ with model code SM-N976B. Check out our free download or super fast premium options.

as far as I know there's no unlocked version of this version for the NA market
but please check up for yourself and see
what you can do if you can't find any - use the adb commands and disable every app which is not of your linking
unless you want to root, which is another different story

Its a SM-N976U Its runing Android 10, AT&T branded and unlocked but I'd like to load a stock firmware without the AT&T branding. The link you provided show two versions, TMK and TMB. Please let me know with firmware to use. Thank you!

Did you format data and clean wipe?
Ok I got it! After flashing it, I tried the *#272*imei number# method and it worked. Wondering if even needed to flash it with another firmware as it removed the branding and AT&T apps by the *#272*imei number# method!!! Thank you for help and time!!!!!!
