Question Carrier support? - Google Pixel Watch

My current carrier (Consumer Cellular) doesn't support smart watches. If I get the Pixel watch ( I have a Pixel 7 phone) could I use a different carrier just for the smart watch? It seems the smart watch service is a $10 add-on for many....but would I have to have a regular account ? And would the communication still work between a Consumer Cellular phone and a different carrier for the smart watch?

Why does LTE functionality of galaxy watches are country/region specific?

As per my understanding -
The hardware of the galaxy watch remains same whether it is purchased in one country or the other.
Samsung might have made some changes in the firmware which are region specific.
But, then LTE functionality (if enabled) is not expected to behave differently with respect to the region/country.
I am saying so because this is what we find in our smartphones. If my smartphone works in the home country then i expect it to work in a foreign country as well.
Then, why is it so that a LTE galaxy watch purchased in USA will not support mobile carriers in an Asian country?
Please correct, if my understanding is faulty.

Question Wi-Fi Calling on VZW, has anyone got this working?

Has anyone been able to successfully enable VoWiFi on a VZW network? Phone is the unlocked OP9Pro and I've tried the Logkit function switches but the actual switch within settings just turns right back off when I try to enable.
I am going to bring up what I mention about VoWifi from another topic. Please read carefully:
VoWifi on Verizon will only ever work on Verizon branded SKU's, they have a list of all approved IMEI they pull from manufacturers for each work order to allow their SKU's (specifically for Verizon!!!!) to use VoWifi and it's very unlikely they will white list your phone.
PS: Even on like or identical devices; VoWifi will not work, the only exception are the pixels for which Google and Verizon collaborated with marketing and of course iphones.
This is strictly the fault AND choice by Verizon. If you want wifi calling in any capacity you have four options:
1. Buy a phone direct from Verizon from their webstore or the myriad of brick and mortar locations such as best buy or themselves.
2. Buy a pixel.
3. Buy an iphone.
4. Switch carriers to a one that does allow you to wifi call regardless of devices and tell Verizon to sod off!

Question What is happening with the UK release?

I was about to pull the trigger on the S22 Ultra but came across the X80 pro and did a lot of research - I'm now convinced it's the best camera phone currently on the market.
I noticed it's available on Amazon UK for £1200, but would prefer a decent contract. Has it not been officially released in the UK or why are none of the mobile companies offering them? Also saw it cheaper here, but it's from Hong Kong so worried about service in case there is an issue with the phone (got screwed by eGlobal some years ago):
Vivo X80 Pro 5G (Global Version) Dual SIM 12GB/256GB
Global version. 12GB Ram / 256GB 2nd batch pre order : Available to ship out 4th July, 2022
www.wondamobile.com
Its unlikely any of operators in the UK will offer the device (most providers will stock Oppo or Oneplus but never Vivo) and Amazon is your best bet or wait a few months for a discount
Odd. Best camera phone ever made, released for European market, and operators decide to skip. Samsung must be happy. Oh well, at least I will have something unique
I'm not sure about the policy of carriers in the UK with respect to provisioning VoLTE services for this phone. The Voice Over LTE (4G) toggle only appears in settings if the carrier's SIM enables the option. Without VoLTE switched on, you can connect on 4G and 5G for downloads, streaming, etc., but all voice calls will drop to 3G. Carriers around the world are beginning to shut down their 3G networks. They have all been decommissioned in the United States, and Canada is following suit in two years. T-Mobile in the US will provision VoLTE for this phone, but other American carriers won't. None of the Canadian carriers will provision VoLTE for this device. Without local 3G networks, if VoLTE is not enabled the phone will try to drop the call to a non-existent network and it won't go through. You may want to enquire with your UK carrier before ordering the phone.
I bought this phone last week from Amazon. I can confirm that VoLTE is available using the EE network.

Question Pixel Watch and Pixel 7 Series E Sim

Hello
So I am getting different info from reading around but can someone who tried this let me know if its possible to install a ESIM from different network then your real SIM on P7 phone and then pair that ESIM onto Pixel Watch to use but keep using normal SIM on phone?
So does the eSIM configured on watch need to be the active and default SIM on the phone or can phone and watch use different networks as long as the ESIM is installed on phone and watch?
