Question Oneplus 9 Pro, updates bring bugs! Which other company is close to the former Oxygen OS experience? - OnePlus 9 Pro

The latest safety update made my OP 9 pro forget, after reboot, that auto rotate was on.
One of the updates before lets the OP Cam complain, in case I have GPS enabled, that it needs permission to location info.
And I have the settings "forever" off!
What is going on, with Oxylor OS 12?
What will Oxylor OS 13 do with the phones?
What is the next closest phone OS to former/real Oxygen Os, please?
Thanks

Many are leaving for pixel 7. I've already had Nexus and Pixel phones. I'll be going to Nothing Phone.
Roll your device back to Android 11 or go to Android 13. At least the battery life seems to be good for a13 users. I'm staying on a11

Android 13 has been working a treat! It's what 12 should have been!

Seeing so many positives makes me want to try it out. It's really tempting. I know I can always come back to 11 but getting everything set up how I want it takes a while

Will give that a try for sure. Just waiting for a bit. For the next bug fixes.
Is 13 closer to Oxygen OS as 12? Or even more to Color OS?

For me it's seems like OOS, but I never tried Color OS.

And now, the ota offer is gone, oneplus tells me, Android 12 is up2date

Is VIDEO MOTION ENHANCEMENT working on your OP9p after updating to A13 ?

No. It is working but I think you know that if Image Sharpener is on, Video Motion Enhancement switches to off.
Some of the bugs I noticed on A13 vanished when I did a painful reset and reconfiguration without using the backed up apps, settings and data.

Got the OTA offered again and installed it.
Till now, I got positively surprised, seems like the trouble (forgetting settings and such) is gone.
It feels better, it is quicker, perhaps it is more OOS, less COS again?

I already got incremental update to f17. I'm on global 9 pro.

What's next:
AOSP Pure ROM, which will focus on battery autonomy. (powersaver)
I still do not know if it will be based on Nougat 7.1.2 or Oreo 8.0.0, I'm doing some testing before saying.
Working?SOON
Not Working?SOON
I'm reserving the thread right now to hear suggestions for adding ROM in relation to the others available for the device. Such as some standard apps, which ones would prefer, some specific settings, etc.
Feel free to say what you miss in other ROMs
I do not know when the first build will come, because I'm studying and the time is short. That's why I ask for your patience.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Okay. I use Viper OS now, and it's perfect with battery usage. I want that please too.
- Hotspot function working on 5ghz network.
- Battery usage like Viper OS.
- Power up the speaker volume during calls.
- OTA updates.
I can't ask much except for performance and battery life and that's all I'd love to see in this rom..

Android 11 is here!

Happy holidays everyone,
Hope you've seen the great news! Android 11 started it's rollout on the Taiwan firmware, build 58.1.A.0.921. looks like it's right under 1GB for the download.
Check the link below for the article:

Flashed the Customized RU version (non-wipe) this morning. Works great, only thing i noticed is that the animation is heavier.
Any changes to volte? How's the 120 frames for cinema pro?

Might be a stupid question, but can you share what you used to flash it? I have an AT52, and no OTA, Xperia companion also says no update, and I never seem to have much luck with the various flash tools floating around the forums lol.

Thanks! It worked. I do notice that all app icons on the home screens are square now. Interesting. Time to play around with it.
No 120FPS option in 4k in Cinema Pro unfortunately? I thought they stated this was added for our 1ii. Bummer.
Edit: Just found it. Turns out I am dumb lol. It is there!
One more thing I just realized: Even after several restarts, the recent app button (on the 3 button navigation bar on the bottom), does not seem to work at all.
Did it bring any screen refresh rates above 60hz? There was speculation it would although at a lower screen resolution.
Update just arrived for me
I'm unlocked UK version

That's too bad. Sony's communication about this type of thing is pretty poor
So far so good, nice update
i got it today!
but im depressed...
I like the 4k @120FPs... but i would like to see a Focusbracketing function in the PhotoProApp, and a software button for the shutter.
I got the update today (located in Germany and all stock). So far, I haven't noticed any changes. Do we have a comprehensive change log somewhere?

Hi, me too. But I have an issue with my WiFi connection. I use a FritzBox 7590 with WPA2 + 3. With Android 10 it worked flawlessly with the new security setting but with today's update I can't use WPA3 anymore.
Does anyone have the same issue?

General OOS 11.2.6.6 Release : What are your opinions about it.

Sorry If there's already some talks about that on different topics, but I find easier to talk about this latest release on a centralised one.
My findings are that Oplus updated the gamebar which now takes more onscreen space, but is now easier to use
The second one is a real thermal behavior change : I used to flash Omega Kernel on 11.2.5.5 and quickly the o+ 9Pro stabilized under 42/43°C . On the latest OOs build with stock kernel, I'm now @ 37-38°C after 30 min of playing the same game. 5-6 degres gained is pretty a good upgrade.
I'll check what are the photo behavior changes as I've done few reproductible raw photos to test, and see how the white balance upgrades are this week end

I deeply can't say that comparing two different iteration of kernel. But it appears to me O+ finally made some progress concerning power and heat behaviour.
I will for sure flash omega kernel as I did with every releases, but I'm happy to see that vanilla stock kernel is working better than ever
My battery life dramatically improved with the .6.6 update. Granted the phone is still new for me, but I went from ~4h SOT every day to 6h+ yesterday

I'm running Omega, but I was running omega before so although I'm sure Omega helps battery, it was still not great before the update. The new changes he made to reduce watermarking may have been a factor, and I also disabled RAM optimization in Oneplus settings which I'm pretty sure helped.
TY for the explanation :=)

I dont know ... I still get some sketchy network connections.. All of a sudden, I'll get 10 notifications at once.
Camera .. still have a focus issue. Certain areas are perfectly focused and others are not sharp. Like a bokeh effect.

The notification thing is most likely due to Oneplus's "Intelligent control" for battery saving. It may be "optimizing power usage" too aggressively for your apps. Go to the power settings for each app with the issue individually and change it to "do not optimize" to ensure you get notifications on time

Isn't the korea release for wifi 12.1? New base band on it the previous was cvg7 from memory not sure on the new base band it was dif tho. I'd still prob stick with ancient os gsi for now. I like it atm.
Just got 4.1.1. I use TotalLauncher so I won't see too much impact of the OneUI update. But..the notification bar I see. It's now scrunched up on either the right or the left side of the page. I suppose thats for being within range of a thumb. But geez this isn't a phone! Not very comfortable.
I don't like the way the latest update handles the navigation bar either, they took away the option to center the icons position.

Yes I also prefer the simple navigation bar & I use it too,
but It couldn't be otherwise since the "new" recent apps feature was added after the last update ui 4.1,there would be no room for such a thing
Anyway,If you disable the taskbar you will have the old bar with centered keys but you will lose the quick apps added in the last update , if you don't mind this ...
We're seeing a wide rollout of A13/One UI 5.0 for Tab S7 series.
Kudos to Samsung. 21 Device series have received it so far. Impressive.
__ And One Ui 5.0 is here ! A13 first build for Tab S7 it's a fact (T870 EUX for me) ..
Welcome Samsung .... Τhe truth is that it surprised me __
I am very pleased with Samsung's support for this device, and surprised because for years on various tablet devices I had bad impressions ...
From the beginning (A10) until now (A13) it has received a total of 24 updates "EUX"!(generally small or "large" updates)
For a first build on Android 13 it is generally very stable and with very good features ..
Very good and useful feature is the "Intelligent Wi-Fi" & "Wi-Fi developer options" . It gives the user very useful information about the Wi-Fi & network connection , Router, etc ..
I hope he continues on this and fixes some things in future updates. And of course, I hope Samsung continues the good work it's doing until now on this device ...
One UI 5.1 has been released!

I'm a little bit underwhelmed. Apart from under the bonnet Android 13 changes... there's little else. Why would it be so difficult not to have this ready at same time as Zenfone 9!?!
I did notice that when you connect Snapdragon Sound earbuds, it no longer displays "aptX Adaptive" at the bottom; only the Snapdragon Sound logo. (The animation that appears after earbud connection)
Is the beta stable? did they fix the speakers on that one yet?
I don't hear any speaker issues with 33.0610.2810.40. It has been stable for me today so far. I will report back if I experience any instability.
