Question OnePlus 9 Pro Fingerprint problem - OnePlus 9 Pro

Okay, so recently I decided to put a screen cover on my OP 9 Pro and I cannot use the fingerprint. Did anybody else had this issue with the fingerprint?
Also I'm running Android 13 on my device.

Yeah, I did with a protector from Ebay. I bought one from T-Mobile when I got the phone, it worked fine, but when they put it on, they ended up leaving a fingerprint on the underside of protector which was very annoying. The glass protector from TMO for the OP9P does work. It has a special clear area where the fingerprint icon area is. Hope this helps.

I'm using this case from Amazon. Works awesome with finger print and wireless charging, best made case I've found to date.

Be careful with cases/Moto x features stop working

I was using the Moto x and decided to give it to my wife. I bought her a dual layer Incipio case through Verizon and she started having problems with the phone, I thought something was wrong with the root I installed so I went through the process of flashing the stock firmware on it. Same issues...The quickcapture (turning phone to launch camera) and the proximity sensor (her phone would go off on a call and never come back on even with a power button press). Took off the case, both worked 100%....put the case back on neither worked at all. I didn't know the quickcapture used perhaps another blocked sensor and not the gyroscope but it 100% definitely didn't work with the case and did without it..just a heads up!
I have that case and have had no issues at all.

No, it was just the case. It was this one to be more specific:
Incipio dual pro http://www.incipio.com/cases/smartp...x-cases/dualpro-case-for-motorola-moto-x.html
That's strange. That's the exact same case I have and I have not had any of those issues.
It had to be the case, because I used the phone for almost a month with no problems, then I gave it to her and it was ok until I got that case for her. Took the case off and it started working again. Her phone wouldn't come back on at all after a call even with the power button and the quick capture feature on the camera would not work. That is weird...
I have the Incipio case and I have had no problems with the proximity sensor or the quick capture feature.
Welll yes me too have the same incipio dualPro hard shell case and its working fine...there is not any such kind of problem with the case...may be your case has some metal problem so better consult the customer care for sorting it out...as early as its possible....because this is the first time I get to know about such problems with a case...so man hurry up its the problem with the case so its ur case which needs a check up not your phone....
Haven't experienced problems with my proximity sensor with my zerolemon case.
Gotta jump on here, been using the dual pro for 2+ weeks with no problems (including the 2 you mentioned).
No problems for me either. Strange...

7T, Glass Screen Protector & Ambient display

I just got my 7T (loving it so far but I'm not posting about that). Everything on it is working well but I just applied the OnePlus 3D tempered glass screen protector and my Ambient Display stopped working. I have all my settings for Ambient Display on but no such luck. Anyone encountered this and might have a fix?
Seriously loving this phone so far.

I'll wager money your TG screen protector covers the proximity sensor....this is the result.

Question Finger print scanner

Hi everyone, I have a pixel 6 pro. Yesterday I fitted a screen protector liquid glass. I have problem now with a finger print scanner. Finger print scanner don't recognize finger print. Some one have this issue ?
I deleted old 4 seved finger prints and create new. Didn't help
Name of screen protector
For Google Pixel 6 Pro (6.7") UV Liquid Glass Screen Protector By Optimum Shield
I have no experience with the specific brand you used, all I can say is that I use a Moccolo UV Glass protector without any issues - I even had no need to activate higher screen sensitivity ....
This would be the first I'd try in your case - you find this under the display settings
If this still doesn't work at all I fear there must be something either wrong with the protector itself or with the installation (maybe some bubbles in the area of the FP reader)....

I have a mowei glass screen protector that works perfectly with the fingerprint scanner. I don't have any experience with your liquid one.

Not another FPR thread?? How many do you need to figure this out? You think you can find the answer in one of these of a dozen threads?
Worst FPR ever put on a phone
Ok this is beyond a joke now. Why in the hell would these morons remove face unlock only to add the absolute worst fingerprint reader I've ever dealt with on any phone I've ever owned. I never thought I'd consider going back to pin unlock...

I did the steps people have said to do like increase touch sensitivity and re add all the fingers I would use but it still won't work. I don't know who made this protector since I got it off a marketplace site and when I met with the person all...

Question Hard time with fingerprint

Just bought S22 6.1" and fingerprint scanner is failing a lot with me. My S21 I don't even have to press hard and it is rare to miss with it.
I have model S901E with snapdragon, on AVA7.
Same phone but what's S901E - isn't that 1U? Anyways, the fp sensor is perfectly accurate on mine, an instant reaction.

I'm from Brasil. I guess S901E is for snapdragon version outside USA. That's the first time we get snapdragon here in Brazil.

Good to know, never saw the E on galaxy models before. And you have problems the fp sensor? I hated it on S10 models but that was different sensor, the current one worked fine on my S21 and now the S22 sensor is perfect too. I registered twice my right hand thumb and 2x right index finger they both work with even a short touch.

On my S21, it just needed a light touch with a very light press. But now I realize one thing. I did not pill off the screen protector that came with S22. In fact, it is not a screen protector for daily use. Do you think it is the reason fingerprint is worse than s10

yes, that plastic foil wrap won't let the scanner read your fingerprint. It's not optical but rather like a mini radar scanning the print ridges on your finger tip.

S21 came with screen protector, but a real one. Simple but it did the job. And fingerprint worked perfectly. I thought I could keep this upper plastic that came with s22 until my screen protector was delivered. I'm gonna try without it.
I exchanged my S22 yesterday because the fingerprint sensor was failing so often (plus random, 20 minute long network disconnects). I lost my preorder storage upgrade, but the new device works perfectly.
have you tried to remove current fingerprints and add new ones?

With a screen protector, it failed every time for me.
I'm using the Omotion that I bought on Amazon.
I did try removing the current prints and adding new ones with little luck. In this case it will work 1 in 10 tries if you press very hard.
Remove screen protector, works perfectly.
As I'm looking for another screen protector, I'm checking reviews for any comments on "fingerprint"

Go with the Amfilm "Hybrid" glass. Glass still works poorly on Ultrasonic sensors, so you want a TPU or "hybrid" (semi-hard plastic) protector to have it work properly. These are the same material (and IMHO better quality) than the Zagg protectors they're trying to charge $50 for.
Also you can increase the touch sensitivity. My scanner is hit or miss with my glass protector but I'd take protection over the fingerprint scanner. I wish Samsung went optical and this wouldn't be an issue.

Question IQOO 9 Pro screen protector film

Does anyone know the brand of the original screen protector film of IQOO 9 pro? The original film protector that came with the phone is starting to degrade and eventually I need to replace it.

I got these a few days ago from ebay. Delivered in Greece quite fast. 3 pieces for about 10 euros. Pretty much identical to the original one, easy to apply if you are careful. The first of the three was damaged as a part of my "learning to apply" curve but the second one I nailed it. Still one spare.

What is the screen like without the factory installed protective film? I find it makes the screen look a bit dull and hazy in bright lighting conditions and it picks up every bit of dust and fingerprint marks. I took the factory installed protective film off my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, (I keep it in a wallet case so it has lots of protection) and it made the screen come alive - smooth and resistant to fingerprints, smudges, lint, etc. I'm thinking about doing that on the Vivo as well but wondered if anyone else had done so.
Yes it is

Yes it'more alive and smooth etc but with 2 kids around couldn't take the risk more than 3-4 days. Even the tiniest scratch or mark would seriously affect the reselling price.
Cautionary Note:
I removed the factory installed protective film and thought the appearance and feel of the screen was much improved. However when I rebooted my phone it didn't want to unlock using my fingerprints. I tried three or four times before I was successful. It had always unlocked instantly with a quick touch of my fingerprint before removing the protective film. So I thought: 'well, I'll just enroll a new fingerprint since the screen is now more sensitive', but when I tried to add a new fingerprint it wouldn't let me. I keep getting a message saying: 'apply official Vivo protective film to add fingerprint'. Ironically I can unlock my phone with facial recognition and Google Pay still works without the need to confirm by fingerprint and my banking app (which does require a fingerprint to unlock) unlocks instantly with my stored original fingerprint. So I disabled face unlocking and tried again to unlock with my stored original fingerprint and again it took four attempts. I'm glad I didn't delete the original stored fingerprint as I apparently can't add a fingerprint now without the original protective film.

I had no protective film for about 4-5 days and didn't face any similar problems. I think that's the only con about Chinese phones : Seems that somehow they don't have a "quality consistency" for all their devices. Seems that it's more likely to come across with a device that has a "problem" than with other manufacturers. For example , for Samsung you will read about "poor Exynos performance" or "overheating devices with SN 888" etc but with Chinese manufacturers you will read about 15 different problems from 15 different users, each of them having just one or two that other users don't have and not having the rest that other users complain about. I mean the "apply official Vivo protective film to add fingerprint" message is not due to a hardware or OS identified problem that "IQOO 9 PRO has and we know it", otherwise I should have had the same message. Seems that more or less Chinese phones have their own "personality" and this imho has to do with quality controls. (Just my 5 cents).
