I've tried CrDroid, SparkOS and EvolutionX. Arrow OS website is down so couldn't. CrDroid is good but I don't like the look of It, EvolutionX and SparkOS are actually very similar. The reason I picked Spark OS over It is because It actually implemented Dolby Atmos that this phone supports. That's actually the only reason. But I do like that Evolution X has OTA updates. If they add Dolby Atmos I'll switch to It but for now SparkOS It Is.
Edit: Arrow OS not down anymore I'll give It a try and update you on It

I flashed Arrow OS and If I'm honest It's way behind SparkOS and EvolutionX. CONS: Example1: I can't change the size of my icons on the home screen. Example: It's running android 13.0 compared to 13.2 on the other two. Example3: Dolby Atmos nowhere to be found. Example4: Can't disable icons in the top bar like NFC. Example5: No battery health info and no charging info on the lockscreen (wattage, mah, etc.). I'd probably find more with a bit more testing, but I don't like It I'm definetly switching back to SparkOS though there are some PRO's for arrowOS. Since It's so lightweight It has better scores in antutu benchmarks by about 100k and apparently better stability and battery life. That's about It really If you're wondering which Custom ROM to install currwntly, go for either SparkOS or EvolutionX. That's my recommendation. They're both very stock with neat extra features. If you game a lot (more or less just Genshin Impact on Ultra) than ArrowOS is probably for you. If you are a casual gamer (COC, CR, PUBG, COD, etc.) stick with the other two. If you want the newest features sooner get the one of the other two, because the build of android is 2 months newer.
ANTUTU SCORES:
Evolution X and SparkOS: both very close 560000
ArrowOS: 660000
Both results are rounded by about 2K just so It's easier to follow.
And yes these are the best most optimized and most reliable ROM's for POCOF4 out right now so choose between these. Can't wait for Pixel Experience Plus Official to come out. We'll see how that's gonna compare to these three.
Hope this helps anyone who's wondering which one to install.
Edit: I discovered a benchmark and gaming feature under battery settings in SparkOS and EvolutionX which when enabled lifts antutu score to 640000 on SparkOS and to 690000 on EvolutionX. Now It should be a no brainer get the SparkOS or EvolutionX.
PS: I switched to EvolutionX because of better battery life and I just installed Dolby Atmos through Magisk.

Seems no XDA theard of CorvusOS , why?

Hi,
I search a ROM official, encrypted and Pixel based... I hesitate between SparkOS and PixelOS, witch is the difference ? On my old phone I has Pixel Extended and I love the extended features on it.

[TEST][Kernel] FloppyKernel [FEEDBACK]

Hello,
I am Mi5 dev, and as some of you know what Mi5, Mi5S, Mi5S Plus, Mi Mix and Mi Note 2 have the same source, I have a kernel called "FloppyKernel" for MI5 and decide to add support for those devices, but with that I'm feeding feedback to know if everything is working, because I only have the Mi5, thank you if you can test and give feedback

Just check the linked Google Drive folder... It compatible with MIUI and HMP (standard LOS/AOSP-based roms).
By the way, I'm using the MIUI version with xiaomi.eu dev 7.12.14 and with the Balanced Spectrum profile since morning, and it's very stable. No random reboot or etc. I can't say anything about the SoT or the battery. Maybe tomorrow evening. My phone seems to be a bit slower than with the stock kernel, but I think it's just placebo.
Hi, thanks for sharing your work. I am on LOS 15.1, which file from the folder to download and use.
Edit1:
This is correct?
FloppyKernel-Mi5S-Lite-Prime-Pro-18122017-UBERTC-HMP.zip
Edit2:

Same Xiaomi.eu dev 7.12.14
I've tested Mi5s and Mi5sPlus Miui kernel versions and i am getting bootloop error with both.
Thank you for the feedback of all, I will create an official thread for the kernel, there you can discuss the problems and solutions of the kernel (and post the logs, of course)
Im using this right now on my mi5s los14.1. Pretty good so far. Only issue is the swap button in settings is gone after flaahing. i searched the swap button in search bar and opened it but i get f.c. I had this on my mi5 and was very promising.
update: this issue was fixed after i clean flashed

I got ~7h33m sot with my everyday use on modded xiaomi.eu dev 7.12.14 (freezed the "useless" Xiaomi apps) and this kernel (Balanced Spectrum profile, enabled 1GB zRAM). Screenshots here.
I haven't experienced any issues.
On average with the stock MIUI kernel I have 4-6hrs of SOT, so it's a great upgrade from it.
If you can and haven't done it already, you should tweak the Spectrum profiles according to the Mi5S specs. I mean AKT have different profiles for SD820 & SD821 devices (for GhostPepper the only differences are the raised clock speeds) so I think we can get better performance.

Best ROM?

Hey!
I managed to unlock my bootloader and I'm now searching for the best ROM. My priorities are camera quality and battery life. Play Store is a must have.
I found Pixel Experience that sounded like a good option.
My version is QJZEUXM.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

MIUI Global is like budget version OS with Google bloatware. Xiaomi EU is like premium version with extra functions, more optimalisations for speed, bathery ussage and many others.

For me personally, it's Evolution X. , with the latest Yuki (AOSP) kernel. I'm not sure Atop that, I have Magisk and the latest R build of ANX Camera (Mi camera clone) installed, from . In my experience with this device, the camera really doesn't live up to the hype at all, but ANX seems to work a lot better than GCam. Probably because it was originally created by the folks who make the phone. My battery life was even better (2 days) on Descendent OS, but it was missing that customization flexibility that most ROMs offer, despite a gorgeous UI.
Also...OrangeFox seems to have some various issues, such as reporting the wrong architecture. Great UI, but it's not up to snuff. Stick with TWRP.

You are perfectly entitled to your own opinion. But perhaps you might want to backup your assertions with some evidence?
And - I don't recollect receiving any test reports from you on the various beta releases.

Question [CLOSED] Best stable ROM as of today's date? F3 Arrow correct?

As the title says, about an arrow for a good 3 weeks and so far I think it's phenomenal, would like some other romhoppers to voice your opinion I do not want to hop I fell in love with arrow from the first day
So you're saying that I should let go of Memeui (miui)n give ArrowOS a shot. cuz, I, myself been looking for a better rom. It's been about a month since I got the phone. I have been settling in Stable and weekly memeui. Even though I have always been a fan of samsung's OneUI. I think ArrowOS should be the change I need, maybe.

Have tried crdroid, arrowOS. Both is similar but crdroid offers more customizations
however, idle drain on crdroid is significantly lower than arrowOS
will try syberia later in the day. so far arrowOS is somehow less buggy than crdroid
Arrow, crDroid and Havoc have all been stable for me as of now. They are all pretty similar. The only annoying bug that I'm seeing is video playback in Google Photos is choppy on crDroid and Havoc.
I have tried arrow crdroid and syberia os. My first preference would be crdroid loads of customisation and very good battery life. Next arrow and then syberia.

Any android 12-13 caf roms?

As the title suggests. Also how would one know if a rom is caf based. So far I've only found pa topaz to be caf based
@Term1nator3000
as far as I know ReloadedOS is..... I'll link it here
Edit: I saw this from the unanswered questions page, you would need one for the 7t. I'm sorry.
Maybe ArrowOS would work?
Thanks for your reply will take a look
Edit: no support for this device
Sorry… was just about to say that after checking it just now. The reason I suggested it is that it has a ton of back ports from caf (or it did last year… )
Is there a reason you want caf specifically? I’ve never seen any noticeable performance/battery difference in general usage between los/aosp vs caf.
IME the best rom in terms of smoothness and general polish is PixelExperience
Pixel experience gave me magisk errors, I couldn't hide it from banking apps no matter what. And couldn't install dolby or customize to my liking.
Im currently on ancient os which is best one I've tried so far with plenty of customization and magisk hide is successful. Also has dolby support however theres no vibration working at all and speaker overall sounds very quiet. I even managed to change boot animation!
I've always read that caf uses Qualcomm drivers which are better suited for battery, reliability and generally has less bugs hence stock roms are based off it. I do like oo12 deposit many others don't so i might just modify that and try and get custom viper/dolby just the brightness issue is super annoying af.
I remember back in the days there used to be oos based roms but debloat+ added features on OP3T. They were the best!

Question Custom ROM recomendation for Poco F3

I just bought a second hand Poco F3 6Gb+128 and I would like as soon as I get it to install a Custom ROM because I'm tired of miui, what is your recommendation? I am looking for stability, possibly be years with the same rom installed, and above all a great battery life, I have read some names like Arrow Os, CrDroid or Pixel Experience, and if it were not too much to ask I would like to leave some post to the best gcam for this phone.
Thank you very much for answering <3
If you did a little searching, you would find this:
Best custom rom
Hey, I have a Poco F3, I unlocked the bootloader recently, and I want to know which ROM should I get or is the best for you. I tried xiaomi.eu, but I prefer AOSP/pixel (I tried some, but I can't make a choice). What is the best, I know for now...

Crdroid is best for me at the moment. Easy installation and lots customisation.
I'm happy with Arrow OS 13.0, though I'd heard that Paranoid Android (AOSPA) Topaz is even better. I might switch to that soon, myself!
I'm big into battery life. Arrow does great, though AOSPA is supposedly exceptional. CrDroid, as Gurkut mentioned, is great for customization and features, though not so much for battery.

I am a Evo-X patron, Evo-X for me is Amazing and the most polished, but i also like to tinker with other roms as well.
My Favourite roms i keep saved on my USB Stick in conjunction with a OTG adaptor are (in order) No.1 Evo-X, No.2 Voidui, No.3 Nusantara-v5.6,
No.4 crDroid (CRD is also very polished), N0.5 ProjectElixir 3.7
It is great to see new Devs resurrecting out dated roms for our great device.

I've been switching between crdroid and pixel os over the last 6 months and those are among the most polished and complete ROM for our Device. Also crdroid dev has been among the first to provide a custom ROM for Poco F3 2 years ago and keep supporting it which is exceptional. Alas both of them have some tiny bugs (bt or Netflix stuttering) on last releases. Thanks to you johnr64 I've tried nusantara (lots of customisation) on which I had some random freezes/reboots so I gave it up. Now I am experiencing voidui which is quite in the same spirit than pixelos: really close to stock with a few tweaks. It doesn't have Leica cam which isn't a big deal for me since gcam have improved a lot.
Voidui is REALLY smooth out of the box compared to a lot of other roms, it is a pity there ain't any thread on XDA for it (I am not a telegram person). I've installed it via skkk twrp , factory reset , rebooting twrp and flashing DfE then rebooting to system with no issues. Restoring from previous Google backup worked.
Hi Nicky69100,
I never did telegram until i got nagged at by my Family, then after speaking to my girls regarding TG and Custom Rom threads i took the plunge, Signing up to the Evo-X thread first and then crDROID & Voidui.
I am old and first started playing with custom roms (Mods) on a Nokia and then move on to a HTC Wildfire, Samsung's, i gave with sammys after they introduced the 0X1 e-fuse and the awful KNOX, i then moved on to LG.
My FIRST EVER new phone was the F3 (What an amazing device for the price) i looked long and hard before i spent my £££, taking in to consideration the ease of unlocking the bootloader and the DEV support, I am so pleased that i made the right decision for me.
For me the bench mark Custom rom is Evo-X,
Aggelos is a great DEV and is contactable most of the time on the "Early release group" and the Evo-X TG Threads,
of course, Life, University and a GF can some times get in the way.
The customisations i look for are, Smart Charging, Battery Bar, edge lighting, coloured icons in the task bar and the ability to run "Xiaomi Super Live Wallpapers"
below are a few rom i have tried recently,
BananaDroid is looking more polished as it is now a official rom, for me it lacks "Smart Charging" at the moment.
Cherishos (Official) Lacks the Charge bar in the task bar, its great to see that SMART CHARGING is WORKING , Hung Pang is the lead Dev for Cherishos and the F3.
Derpfest by Carrotgarden, Lacks the Charge bar in the task bar and Smart Charging.
Pixel Extended, is to close to stock for me and lacks customisation.
SuperiorOS, Lacks the Charge bar in the task bar and Smart Charging.
Stalix is a nice rom from a new DEV, it can now be installed thru Standard Recovery, it is still lacking in customisation, but it`s still early days.
Rising o/s nice looking rom, Smart Charge is not working, it Zapped 63% of my Battery in half a day, this was the First Rom for me (EVER) to do this.
Skyline is still in Beta and lacks customisation.
Voltage o/s (Unofficial), lacks customisation.
I WOULD LIKE TO SAY A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO ALL THE DEVS FOR ALL THERE HARD WORK AND FOR MAKING OUR F3 AMAZING

Hi, it's a bit offtopic but can you tell me what version of twrp do you use to flash roms, because The ones I used showed that internal storage "data" is encrypted, and it didn't decrypt even after entering my lock screen pin.

Like it was already referred here, it depends on what you're looking for on a rom.
If you like a pixel feel (usually more stable and battery friendly roms) go for arrow, void, paranoid Android (these 3 have the best feedback), pixel os, etc.
If you care about customization and messing around with features, I suggest you to go to CR, ghostdroid (I'm using this one right now. Very cool and promising rom), rising, ancient, derpfest, Evo, nusantara, etc. The list is huge, because we have the luck of our device be one of the ones with more development, probably of ever.
Have to give a huge Thank you to our great developers and maintainers out there
If you wanna get into more and stay fully updated, I too advise to go to TG. There's rom updates on a almost daily basis
