Fastest Rom for S4 Mini - Galaxy S 4 Mini Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have LineageOS 18.1 on the phone, which works fine but still is somehow a little bit laggy.
Which one would be the fastest (performance optimized) ROM for this phone?

You can use pixel experience

Do you have a pixel experience rom link you recommend?

Try crDroid nougat with f2fs formatted data and cache. So far the best. Or LineageOS 18.1.

Is LineageOS 18.1 faster that 14.1 on S4 mini?
And what is f2fs?

Best official Rom for Lenovo P2

I have been using the Lenovo P2 for quite some time now. We have all received nougat on our P2 and we know that Lenovo follows a rather annoying one update policy for it's devices. Hence I believe the future of this device is faded, at least from Lenovo's point of view and would like to know which is the best official ROM for Lenovo P2 right now?
Define "official"... I think the only official ROMs are Lenovo's...
Latest to me

A ROM which is capable of being a daily driver and has support from the developers

Best depends on your perspective of your usage & requirements.
Though I'd say
Offical LOS 14.1
which is getting weekly OTAs & monthly security patches. pretty stable as stock.
AOSIP 8.1 by Shubham
almost stable may be better in feature than LOS, I've used it for quite a while but its SE Linux is Permissive which causes some apps non functional.
Beside these two i also used LOS15.1 , RR & other Oreo ROMs they are currently under development but can be used as daily drivers because all major bugs like volte, nfc ect. has been solved in almost all Oreo ROMs for P2. But again SE Linux is not Enforcing in these ROMs so you'd need to root to make some apps run.
It'd say you'd try yourself which suits your requirements best use it as your daily driver.

Hey! Have you tried out the pixel experience ROM. It looks promising. Not sure about the updates and stuff as there are not a lot of people talking about it on p2. Hence the stability and reliability of that pixel experience ROM is unsure. Here is the link- https://download.pixelexperience.org/

I believe LOS 14.1 on nougat 7.1.2. The pixel experience ROM is on Oreo 8.1.

Pixel experience is not updated for a while and it is not going to be updated, I think. You can go with AEX or Cardinal rom as these two have developer support now. Cardinal rom is official too, so OTA updates will be available. If it is nougat, only Lineage rom have weekly updates. :good:

What is the best custom ROM for a5 2017 oreo

Hello guys.
Iam from Indonesia, and sorry for bad english
I wanna ask.
What is the best custom ROM for a5 2017?
Right now iam using HadesROM S9+. And that's too much eating my memory
that's make my GCam freeze.
I need the best ROM that:
1. Stable.
2. Good battery life.
3. Good RAM management.
4. GCam support.
Any ideas?
Thank you guys -/\-
Well, from my experience, HadesRom 5.0 is better than the S9+ one, but it may come down to personal preference. Now your only stable options are LOS 14.1 (android 7.1.2) and RR 5.8.5. There are LOS 15.1 and RR 6.2.1 in progress but they are not nearly as stable as the older ones.

Has anyone tried to flash Treble/GSI?

I know flo is super outdated but after flashing GSI on my pixel 1, it got really smooth and fast. Hoping I could bring my flo back to life. I tried the latest lineage official and unofficial but the battery life wasn't great. I just want the gesture navigation and a fast device
Thanks in advance

Nexus 7 2013 does not support Treble partitions for flashing GSI images. For a speedy performance, I would recommend you to head over to the LOS 14.1 unofficial build maintained by @wileyc . The ROM is not only smooth, but delivers better with Elemental X kernel and a non-gapps based system.

Which custom ROM to use as daily driver?

Hi Everyone,
Got myself a Pixel 2 XL and it seems that stock firmware drains battery quickly. So I am trying to flash a custom ROM to use as my daily driver. My criteria are: good battery life, stable and up to date (with regards to security updates.)
What is your opinion on these ?
Havoc OS
Arrow
Proton
ABC
TIA.
On my rooted Pixel 2 XL, Lineage 18.1 with Magisk is working very well and is frequently updated too.

I've only tried Proton. It works well, but you should try them all out yourself to discover which is best for you. Our opinions don't mean much because everyone is looking for different things out of a ROM.

use gsi. here is a list of them. Avoid google gsi. The ones i recommend are crdroid, lineage os TD, Pixel Experience , EvolutionX, spark os etc. (spark os has issues with 90Hz on builds after feb patch)

Its basically a generic system image for treble supported devices and our phone is one of those. The page i provided above has various gsi's linked in it. I personally use crdroid. here is a thread i wrote on the configuration and any workarounds that i use.
