Question [Q] How do I fix my SIM network after installing Magisk? - Realme Narzo 30 5G (AKA Realme 8 5G)

Hello
After I flashed vbmeta.img to my phone (Realme Narzo 30 5G) to install Magisk via fastboot, my device doesn't longer recognize any SIM card.
How could I fix or solve this problem? I've tried flashing the stock firmware ROM but I couldn't do it.
Please, I need help on this problem.

There is only way to flash stock rom but it is almost impossible to do it.

Well, that's exactly what I did to fix the SIM network problem, but I flashed the stock rom via fastboot, flashing every IMG file, partition by partition.

Do you live in Europe? If yes you can join the lineage os test program for realme 8 5g and narzo 30 5g. There is not enough testers. Sim detection is not working but they are working on it. If you consider joining please DM me.

OOS 12 OB 2

Strange, it seems to me that this forum has completely died. Considering that Oneplus 7t is already an old device, I can understand that. But no one, absolutely no one comments on the new update that came out, OOS 12 as OB1 and very soon after OB2. Bearing in mind that Beta 1 and 2 were released for the Indian version and not for Global or EU... Does anyone have any experience and what are their first impressions? Can it be used as a daily driver on this device? Does Magisk Roor work? OOD? Did you so complete whipped all data before flashing? Can you install it over Ob5 (officially it suggested to flash it over latest stable version)? Did anyone install it on EU or Global variant 7t (again, officially ther is significant difference on Android 12, between India and Global/Eu variant)?

Ob2 fixed dead fastboot mode on ob1. Works great for eu or global OP7T. Very stable and perfect for DD. Keeps data if "local update" (download file via oxygen updater app). Rooting via magisk-patching boot.Img and then "fastboot flash boot magiskpatchedboot.Img" works fine. This "IN" version does not have IN bloat and meant for all op7t. After update booted up fine then do it again to install ob2 into slot B.

Thanks for these details. Does this mean that it is safe and that without data loss it can be flas directly from OB5 (Global) ?
How is battery? Speed? Benefits and cons, compare to OB5 oos11 ?
Your, subjective filing?
Thanks in advance

Yes on updating with data preserved. Battery is better than oos11. Faster and smoother than oos11.

Thank You... And one more last question... On Ob5 we had AOD (exist in op lab).. But it's was not present on stable version OOS 11... Does AOD wotk out of box on 12... or you can turn it on if you are Root like it was possible on oos11 ?

I'm curious. What do you guys still need root for? My phones were always rooted since my Nexus S until Nexus 5, but on my 7T I don't find it necessary anymore.

How To Guide OnePlus 9 Pro TMO Le2127 Converted to Global Le2125 OOS 13

First convert to EU using the TMO to EU MSM Tool then install global firmware from the OnePlus website. Update it all the way to C.65 then install the OOS 13 F.17 firmware, go into settings and factory reset and your done VOILA ! Everything works including 5G mm wave with no root or data retention.

How's it running for you so far ?
This is the 5G speed I'm getting with the OOS 13 OB2 stock Rom no modem retention file.
A few pointers though it is advised to disable the sim before a reboot waiting a minute upon the os booting up and then enabling the sim. This works for me no issues. Sometimes have to enable and disable it twice before it works. But after that no cutting out or anything.
Does anyone have a solid fix for the SIM not connecting right away after reboot on the OB2 13 rom ? It's not that big a deal but would be nice to have a smooth connection without disabling data when restarting the phone ?

You can use 5G Switch to access radio power on/off but it doesn't do anything for a smoother connection.

As well as Verizon. Probably more useful on Verizon, they have more mmWave coverage, and the 9 Pro has a 5G UW icon for mmWave on Verizon.
There's a new OOS 13 stable update out for the OnePlus 9 Pro. I'm concerned about installing it on my global converted Le2127 that's running fine with the 13 OB2. Has anyone installed it yet on their converted 9 Pro ?

I installed it on my converted 2127 to 2125 and it's perfectly fine! As a matter of fact, I also disabled the 2127 Data Fix module (2 sim card bug) and it's actually coming up as only 1 sim! Confirmed after rebooting the device a couple times just to be on the safe side

OnePlus/Oppo have decided to lock the MSM Tool behind a technician login. Now that devices can't be easily unbricked, would-be devs are either moving elsewhere (and have been since the 10 Pro and 9RT released with this restriction) or can't get testers willing to have to pay to fix their devices if they brick.

Hello m8, if you want to order a ON11 do it in the US store so you can get a Global Variant. I got mine at the Pop Up and i already unlocked the bootloader, basically waiting for my OTA update to root it with magisk. Not for Roms but other stuff.

It's sad really. I was shocked to see that the US model has dual physical SIM + eSIM. I definitely would have considered it over the S23 Ultra I ultimately ended up buying if not for the MSM issue because if my OnePlus 9 had dual SIM or pSIM+eSIM, I would have kept using it instead of getting the Pixel 7 Pro but I wanted dual SIM.
Coming from the OnePlus 9 where I got *intimately* familiar with the MSM Tool after bricking my phone a bunch of times (which if you check my signature, I rooted every single one of my past Android phones and never managed to hard brick one like that until the OnePlus 9 so it speaks volumes for how poor their bootloader is programmed that it's so easy), even making custom mods for people with unique bricking situations so they could recover their phones too, I'm not going to buy one without that option. I mean even if I left it stock like I'm going to have to with the S23 Ultra (can't be bootloader unlocked in the US as usual), I've seen too many people report having bricks while locked just from taking updates. Just isn't worth the risk.

There is no double SIM +eSIM.
If you install eSIM, the second SIM (physical) slot is blocked.
So in this case you will have SIM + eSIM.
100% is in my European version (2449)

He was just stating what the phone has access to, because phones can only have 2 phone lines connected at the same time for the moment. Every phone that takes Esims does it like that.

No I'm well aware how it works. I'm just saying that US models from the 9 through 10T didn't even get dual SIM and now they get dual SIM and eSIM added as options with the 11. It's almost like OnePlus is listening to some feedback finally.

This is the reason why I went back to my OnePlus 7T from a newly purchased Pixel 7 Pro - I need the ability to utilized both SIMs with seperate RingTones for business purposes, it still doesn't work 100% (everytime) on the P7Pro using AutoMate and this would be an easy fix for Google Developers.

Question OnePlus 11 cross flash bug

Hello, so recently I tried flashing ColorOs A11 build on my OnePlus 11 CPH2447 Indian build with Fastboot Enhance application. The process was breeze and phone booted with Cos A11 but than I faced two bugs -
1. Wifi can't find any nearby connections, if you try to tap on refresh button, whole system freezes for 3 seconds.
2. When you insert sim you get this error "You are using a device which is only sold in China. It's communications functions will soon be restricted. Please go to Official Oneplus website and contact customer service for help"
So again I tried to flash Indian rom CPH2447 and the second no. problem still exists. I tried factory reset and everything but no solution. Atlast I visited OnePlus service centre and upon checking they said we asked our technical team and now waiting for their confirmation.
This is just a heads-up to everyone that the problem is not only limited to Chinese bought OnePlus 11, it can even occur in your device too if even once you flash any Coloros build of Oneplus 11. My phone is Indian build ( CPH2447 ) and upon asking a friend he confirmed with OnePlus team that crossflashing in OnePlus is only supported till OnePlus 8 and 9 series.
have you tried using fastboot enhance to remove all cow* partition from device?

The real reason is performance, as I checked that in some benchmark apps cpu can perform really high on COS compared to OOS rooted. So just to be sure I flashed it

Question Activate dual sim on a custom rom

Hello,
I was wondering if anyone successfully activated dual sim on this device with a custom rom. I was thinking of purchasing this device second hand and I would like to activate dual sim but also have a custom rom. I've seen a method using beta OOS12 on the LE2127, is that possible to do with a custom rom too? Would the LE2127 or the LE2125 be better for this?
Thanks to everyone in advance, any help is appreciated greatly.

OOS 12 & OOS 13 will show dual sim after you successfully enable it. Even if after that, you downgrade your phone to OOS 11 through a MSM Tool and then upgrade to OOS 12 & OOS 13 again, dual sim will be still available.
On a custom ROM, it will not work.

On a custom ROM, it will not work.
