My new obook 10 se (v3) works well if I set english or chinese language. If I set italian language, the device seems to work well, but when I restart it, I get a bootloop: remix os logo - "Ottimizzazione applicazioni"- "Avvio applicazioni"- remix os logo.... and so on.
I tried latest firmware (2016-10-20), but I have the same bug too.
It's not a hardware related bug, because I tried an alternative firmware with android stock and the device works well, but I want to use the remix os. :crying:

Before install, you have to check the serial numbers on the back of the tablet: install the v1 version if you read "v1" in the sn, or the v3 version if you read "v3".
If you have the v5 version of the tablet, sorry, no unofficial firmware.

my bad. I have been away for long.
stuck at efi shell? it means you are flashing the wrong firmware! for the official Remix Os head over to onda website ( onda.cn). Google Chrome does a good job for translating to different languages. choose the tablet from the products tab to download the firmware. If you don't have a Baidu account, use JDownloader to grab the firmware link from Baidu site.
format your flash disk to fat32 and extract all the zip content that the sdcard root directory. connect the flash disk to the tablet ( I prefer via otg)
There are 2 ways to flash :-
1. Through the bios
> hold down the ESC key on the keyboard to enter the bios > boot manager
> choose internal efi manager
> installation kicks off. wait till it is done
2. Fastboot
> boot tablet to bootloader with the flash disk connected ( hold volume down and power button) when booting.
> set up will automatically take it from there. Once completed, remove the flash disk AND DO NOT CONNECT IT WITH THE FLASH FILES LOADED. UNLESS YOU WANT TO FLASH AGAIN
This 2 methods also works with the stock android firmwares.

Try xiaomi.eu rom or revolution os they both have French language. As mi8se is only for Chinese market there is no global version of miui for our device that means no French language

Sorry but no fastboot version for these roms, unlocked bootloader is required to install custom roms, you'll have to wait to get the code from miui to unlock your bootloader. Faut savoir être patient?.

No specialy one custom ROM, but official like the chinese flashable in fastboot but simply in global (with french language)

You can't find it because mi8se is only sold on Chinese market and will never be sold outside this country, that means miui never will develop a global firmware for this device. The only way to get a "global" version is to install a custom rom

And you had french on that 9.5 version? I told you it's impossible that you had a global version of miui installed on mi8se if your bootloader is locked. Only chinese miui exists for this device and french isn't include in china stable nor dev rom. Are you sure your bootloader isn't already unlocked? For example when i bought my phone it was already unlocked and xiaomi.eu rom was installed by seller

Probably not, Google doesn't allow call recording since Android 9.
It's not Xiaomi's decision I believe, on China ROM it's still present.
You can switch to xiaomi.eu as it's on Chinese base, or root and install call recording app.

There's even an online petition to bring it back: https://www.change.org/p/google-inc-google-bring-call-recording-back-to-android-9
Google the subject and you'll find many articles about this subject.
It's the only logic explanation why Xiaomi stopped call recording on global ROM, except for Indonesian ROM, so it's probably something legal or Xiaomi was instructed by Google.

There's a magisk module compiled by a guy called "Ko-hi" that you can use to install the Xiaomi dialer/contacts and messaging. This way you can get call recording back.

Xiaomi has nothing to do with the removal of dialler and the messaging app. Since June 2019 the EU has forbidden call recording apps/diallers for privacy reasons so they are just obeying the law. It's annoying since we all got used to MIUI dialler but the only solution I know is unlocking bootloader and custom ROM/ Xiaomi.eu . I don't even care about call recording, I just hate Google dialler and messaging app.

I update with realmeui android 9 ,using TWRP 3.3.1-31 from here:https://forum.xda-developers.com/realme-x/development/recovery-unofficial-twrp-realme-x-stable-t3959556 step by step.
after flash the custom ROM the fisrt time,my device can not boot ,just loop into twrp,after several attempts(reflash/wipe data and so on),it worked.

Thanks for you reply bro, i am just wondering about how those developers produce customs roms for this phone and they doesnt make roms to fit global version to cn version ( i think that would be so easy for them ).
I have also tried to put global images from Global to Cn Zip Files but not succesful.

I tried installing evolutionOS. It installed successfully but got stuck on booting. It says Boot/recovery image is destroyed. How could you installed those roms bro?

Beta testing was finished so you can install this from updater ,this is for those who didn't receive update yet.

as you can on the image stable not beta, the only new is netflix L1 certification is working. and andtoid 10
these are the official global updates by regions, because it's stable beta there is no beta in the rom name

Didn't work for me
sign in for beta tester is closed, you are a bit late. beta testers are receiving MIUI 11.0.1.0 GLOBAL and after few days there will be regular version via OTA for everyone
I downloaded from from link and installed. It does show MIUI Global 11.0.2. in screenshot but it also says global. I am running OS with no problems and everything is working
My main issue is I can't find a TWRP compatible with this. If anyone could help with that I'd really appreciate it!

You will have to download the update you use on your phone, extract recovery.img from the same version that is installed on your cell, only after that, you use miflashPRO / recovery, remembering that you will have to authorize your mi to receive beta updates.
