About Camera: stock camera app is Google Camera modded by BSG version MGC_8.1.101_A9_GV2b_ENG, can be updated with all BSG version, download the ENG package and install it. Google playground is also working, can be installed from here (Playground_2.9build-2.11.220118016.apk). If google playground stuck with a black screen go in Settings --> App -- App List --> Google Playground and grant notification permission. The camera process is allowed to stay alive in background like in Pixel phones, this improves the speed opening the app, if you see camera process running in background for hours it's normal.

okay man, thank you

The build is perfect! when new builds come out, when applying the new build, the data is going to be deleted? In sense when applying the update the data is going to be factory resetted? Also, fast charging is not working!
Thank you again!

No you don't need to wipe internal storage every update, just enter in recovery, flash the zip using adb sideload or an USB OTG and reboot when flash is over.
PS: tested right now fast charge with my PC, power bank and power supply and works fine for me, please check your cable or your power supply (i've changed one of my cables a couple of days ago for a similar reason, fast charge working randomly and adb stops every few seconds with all my devices)

Is it also possible to add OTA updates or is it difficult to do and make? Thank you! (The fast charging works!)

PE has an OTA update app, but is for official builds only, if someday the ROM will become official you will also have OTA updates
EDIT: glad that fast charge is working, out of curiosity: what was the problem?

You can sideload the zip as usual, magisk should be there without the need of reinstalling it. If you lose root after the flash, simply flash again magisk

Hey Bro im using this build and it was impressive, the only thing it misses is the Live Display function.... Besides it run flawlessly i love that the GCAM is the default camera and i hope you build a plus edition for courbet too!!!

I'm sorry but unfortunately Plus edition require more or less 500 Gb of free space for sources and compiling, actually I don't have all that free space in my NVMEs, I'm already using 650+ Gb for PE and my 3 devices (gemini, grus and courbet).

Did you check the MD5 of the downloaded zip file? Probably it's a corrupted download, but without the recovery log it's impossible to understand what happened

As we're getting back into the thread game, keeping up with threads and updating them as per changelogs can be too hectic given our schedule. However, very detailed changelogs always go up on our Google+ page, follow us for constant updates!
For Device specific changelogs, check the second post.
Instructions & requirements
We highly recommend you to follow these instructions very carefully. Users usually tend to skip a few steps and eventually fall in trouble. Are you with me? Good. Let's get this train going.
Just a few things to keep in mind first -
If you're coming from another ROM / Stock, your system data (not internal storage) and cache will have to be wiped. This includes apps, accounts, messages, call logs etc.
There's been some users complaining about different GAPPS variants messing up installs and causing a ton of issues. Upon investigating it seems OpenGapps Mini/Nano work best.
Understand that Paranoid Android is a custom ROM and it might lead to addiction as it's relatively good. We shouldn't be accused of anything just incase your cat starts drinking wine. Things get a little woozy in the Paranoid World.
Some brain might be involved if things go wrong. Not a lot though, as much to solve what's 1+1.
Okay let's get to the main bit -
Once you have all the required files - boot into recovery and wipe the bananas out of your device. Get into the wipe menu and wipe data, system, cache and dalvik cache (basically everything except Internal Storage).
Once wiped, get into the "Install from zip" menu and select the ROM zip. (pa_gemini_6.x...). Once added to the install queue, TWRP will ask you if you want to add more zips into the queue - Click on "add more zips" and select the firmware package.
Swipe the bar on the bottom to flash/install zips. Once both zips are done installing - Reboot into system and set-up your device, after you've let it settle with screen off for about 10 Minutes, do not do anything else! Please let your device settle with screen off for about 10 Minutes after the first boot, otherwise the system wont boot after a reboot!
Once you're done setting up your device - well that's when you're done. One thing though - Make sure you DO NOT INSTALL any other zip in the same queue as the ROM! Meaning, do not flash anything like Gapps, a kernel or a root package while installing the ROM. We recommend you do that AFTER you're done setting up your device.

Installation is a bit fiddly. Have to follow instructions and give it a time to settle. Then you get an. excellent rom.
Exposed works very well.
Great camera. Take pictures while recording video
Fingerprint works better than any other rom.
Am staying Paranoid .
Thanks dev

For your information:
LineageOS 16.0 is a distribution of Android 9.0 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
What is different?
The builds provided in this thread are based on the previously mentioned LineageOS, all credit for such work belongs entirely to the LineageOS team.
The differences between this build and the one provided by 33bca are:
1 - Debloated, a lot of the apps bundled by default on LineageOS were disabled on build time. This reduces the .zip file in around 27MB and saves a little more on your userdata partition since no dalvik cache is generated for those apps.
I only left the very few core apps required to be able to use all the hardware on your phone. This is the list of stuff removed stuff:
/system/app/BasicDreams *Screensaver*
/system/app/BookmarkProvider
/system/app/CtsShimPrebuilt *Used for certain software upgrade scenarios*
/system/app/Development *Certain tools for app developers*
/system/app/EasterEgg *The easter egg that corresponds to Pie*
/system/app/Eleven *Music player*
/system/app/Email *Email client (Gmail will still work)*
/system/app/Exchange2 *Used to connect to certain email accounts*
/system/app/Gallery2 *Picture gallery*
/system/app/HTMLViewer
/system/app/Jelly *Web Browser*
/system/app/LiveWallpapersPicker *Used to apply Live Wallpapers*
/system/app/PhotoTable *Screensaver*
/system/app/PicoTts *AOSP text-to-speech service*
/system/app/Stk *Sim Toolkit*
/system/app/Terminal *Terminal emulator*
/system/app/WallpaperBackup
/system/priv-app/AudioFX *Modifies the behavious of the sound*
/system/priv-app/Updater *Notifies you of official LineageOS updates*
/system/priv-app/CtsShimPrivPrebuilt *Used for certain software upgrade scenarios*
/system/priv-app/Recorder *To record audio and video*
/system/priv-app/WeatherProvider
2 - Changed DPI to 432. Our screen has a real density is 432 and working at that settings feels amazing.
3 - Signature spoofing patch. For usage with microG. Read more about it at: https://github.com/microg/android_packages_apps_GmsCore/wiki
If you expect this ROM to increase the performance because is debloated I feel like you are going to get mostly placebo. The patches applied on this build were stuff I made for myself in order to keep my phone clean of bloat I don't need, and stuff I have preferred third party alternatives to. In general it's meant to get more freedom/control on what is installed in my phone. The result of this was nice so I wanted to share it with anyone willing to try it.
Hopefully I'll be updating the builds once a month after every major security update happens.

I noticed that default camera app hangs when using HDR on the selfie camera
Does somebody have a feedback of the rom with microg? Any problem with some apps? Better battery life?

I run it with microG but only so Signal can use GCM for notifications because the websockets alternative drains battery a lot more so cannot really say how it behaves with other Big Brother services

Does MicroG really make a difference with Signal's battery consumption? I've been bothered by this also.

Edit: just renamed the magisk .apk to .zip and flash. Truly a thing of beauty

Yes, it's a feature of the ROM itself, anyway thanks for the feedback. I'll make improvements over time ^^
Tested on G970F. Stable and Good battery life. Good work on the ROM. Could add Live display option or Blue light filter but nevertheless fantastic ROM.
I find that incall audio, during phonecalls is very quiet. It is nice to have full control of my magisk app..

Well, I have to push my ear into the phone to hear the other person if there's any way to make it louder it'd be great.

I'm looking at a new ROM to test out, after finding out my current one gave me problems with Android Auto. A few questions:
- I'm currently on firmware FUF3. In the screenshot, I see you're on FUE6. Does that make any difference?
- Has anybody tested USB? In my current ROM, it seems to be a known problem that USB switches on and off all the time, which stopped me from testing Android Auto wired. Wireless also didn't work, but testing with a cable is the first step to debug and if that also doesn't work...
Thanks for the great work!

The firmware version will not interfere with the ROM operation, have you tested it recently and this USB connection problem appeared? I will release an OTA Update this week, Tim (Linux4) has reworked the tree, and maybe that will solve some of the existing problems. I will keep you informed

Hi there, first of all thanks for providing us stock android custom rom.
Yesterday I flashed pixel experience 12.1 to my Nokia 8 following installation guide, it's pretty good but Note that camera audio not recording properly neither built-in voice recorder is recording sounds.
Kindly guide me what to do?
Hi, I get an error when my nokia-8 (TA-1052) starts up. How can I fix it?

Hi, I've been a happy user of PixelExperience 11 for several month (first attempt of a non standard Android build for a daily use) and now trying to update to 12.
Can someone confirm that the T-virus 2.0 upgrade is necessary to install this build ? I can't find the answer here or on the intall guide on the PixelExperience website.

I have the same message on 11 so its not related to this version. It has never been an issue once the startup is completed for me, since last october. I discarded that as an tiny annoyance for having the guts to unlock the bootloader.

Since a recovery was always included with the rom I formerly flashed on my devices, I just flashed this one from TWRP 3.5.2 and it worked (also wiped internal, data and cache from TWRP to be sure).

No sound problem with the camera audio for me,. Regarding the built-in voice recorder, I had to select manually the correct device to use in the app parameter to make it work.
I have two complains about the camera app though. It is a bit slow and contrary to the one included on PE 11, I cannot select the storage, and thus my SD card, on this one. Except this, it seems to work pretty well.
I'll test the GPS and other stuff tomorrow and keep you updated.
Thanks for the great work on this rom @emufan4568
Edit 27/06/2022 :
Tested GPS, mobile data and calls today. General performance and battery drain were on par with PE11, very good.
Mobile data was stuck on HSDPA so I went to mobile data parameters to set it to "Global" instead of "GSM/WCDMA" to unlock LTE-A.

Right now, all NB1 ROMs are experiencing this issue unfortunately. But PE (I think) is the most stable one.
As a temporary solution, you can take pictures using Adobe Lightroom (works for me on CrDroid).
Ok, hopefully this will be fixed asap.
I'm using the camera app built-in the rom. I guess it's GCam.
With 3 more weeks of daily use I can complete my previous statement. The lag is not the main problem on my device as it only happens after a reboot. It's that the device stops saving pictures while displaying the shutter effect and all. If you don't shutdown your phone at night, you'll have to reboot it before you can take a picture. If you have to take several pictures, you'll have to reboot each 3 to 4 shots.
I'm installing Adobe Lightroom right now
I hope this will be fixed soon because this rom looks promising.
Last custom rom was on my Moto X 2nd gen but there was always something wrong.
Waiting for this lag to be fixed.
I forgot to ask but does Netflix and Google Pay work?

Google Pay I can confirm works just fine, I use it for transactions. Netflix I think does too, but has limited quality due to lack of widevine l1 (it gets lost when unlocking the bootloader on 90% of devices).

Thank you for answering. Nice that Gpay works. About Netflix, what does this mean, i don't need 4K quality but 720p streams would be nice.

Nice rom, will try.
Is F.18 firmware base okay to flash over?
The rom booted, however I had problems with the wifi. I couldn't find a network. And whenever I tried to get into the network settings, it ended up crashing. I used fw f.18 from crdroid. If anyone else can confirm this. Maybe I did something wrong.

And is there any plans to make a version without gapps? Because that's actually what this device would need so badly.. an optimized rom that utilizes the hardware best (caf) without annoying google stuff.
