Question I cant flash GSI or boot into TWRP! (its g31 not g30 bc i could not find thread) - Moto G30

So i unlocked the bootloader and then i tried to instal twrp on "fastbootd', the code: "C:\adb>fastboot boot twrp.imgSending 'boot.img' (26460 KB)OKAY [ 1.136s]Booting FAILED (remote: 'Unrecognized command boot')fastboot: error:Command failed"then i tried the "fastboot_bootloader" version and "C:\adb>fastboot boot twrp.imgSending 'boot.img' (26460 KB) OKAY [ 0.630s]Booting(bootloader)Command is not supportFAILED (remote: '')fastboot: error: Command failed"I said to try only flashing the gsi without TWRP and it flashed but it was stucked on a bootloop.I tried changing partitions and all things that recomended and not work. Please help

I am pretty sure even flashed with TWRP it wouldn't work.
Some GSI just never boot or always bootloop.
Some I found only booted after factory resetting specifically from Recovery (for whatever reason?)
I would honestly just give up. When i first flashed my GSI i could only find 3 that would boot on the entire internet.

No access to Recovery and HOX doesn't boot

Hello
i have some problems with my HTC One X. Until 2 hours ago it worked perfectly and without problems. i didn't flash anything in the last few weeks, but theres ARHD (ICS) installed. But then suddenly it had a freeze, so i had to restart it with pressing the powerbutton for 10 seconds. Since then, it doesn't boot anymore and also i can't access the Recovery, i get a blackscreen if i try, But i come into the Bootloader, Fastboot is possible but doesn't work...
I tried to reflash the Boot.img, but there was an error: erasing cache FAILED (remote: 19000008)
I also tried to reflash the CWM Recovery but there was another error:
5.8.4.0-endeavoru.img
sending 'recovery' (5742 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.904s]
writing 'recovery'...
(bootloader) Format partition SOS done
FAILED (remote: (00030000))
finished. total time: 1.150s
So can anybody help me? All that I want is access to my virtual SD Card for saving my data, and can anybody tell me how and if I can "repair" my One X? And sorry for the bad english, i'm no native speaker...
you can try this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1609190
Thanks, but it didn't help. When i tried to flash the images in fastboot almost the same errors as before occured...i absolutely dont know what to to now, i think i even can't relock the bootloader, flash the stock recovery and a RUU

what the error mate?
Hm, i don't really know. There are these Error-Codes, mostly "remote: 19000008" or "remote: 00000004" also with a 5 at the end, and it says "remote: not allowed" sometimes.

Recovering Possibly Bricked OnePlus 3

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have any instructions as of right now on how to recover a potentially bricked OnePlus 3? Doing some googling around yielded me to the conclusion that my OnePlus 3 bricked itself.
Thanks!

Contact support.... you're the first one with a bricked device....
And it would be great if you could share the support e-mail.... it would help me get unbrick files for this device

Fastboot on op2 is already a mess and we don't have enough info of what could happen in op3... best avoid fastboot except for flashing twrp
Flash the stock ROM through twrp

Your oneplus bricked itself?
are you sure there wasn't a human involved in the process?
As other people says, you're the first one with a " bricked" device, so please tell everyone what your device status is, and how it got bricked.
did you unlock bootloader, did you have root? as much info as possible..

Why a mess?
Fastboot itself is very simple.
fastboot flash <<partition you need to flash>> <<file patch>>.
Is it different from the "common" fastboot we can find on a Nexus?
When I try to do this I get the following message:

Experiencing the same problem here.
I had the same in other thread. OEM unock was disabled. Do You have working stock recovery or TWRP? If stock works You can flash stock rom by ADB sideload.
My bootloader is locked so it's showing FAILED (remote: Partition flashing is not allowed) and cannot get into recovery.

try this:
http://www.androidbrick.com/unbrick-oneplus-one-two-3-qualcomm-hs-usb-qdloader-9008/
you need the OnePlus3_Unbrick_Tool_Full.rar to unbrick your phone, i was also in your situation,
you need also the Qualcomm_Diag_QD_Loader_2016_driver.exe with this two tools you can flash to restore the OP3
me helped al lot this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/onep...icked-t3405700
a had a success with this part How to Make the device show as Qualcomm 9008
it is important that you have the correct driver installed on your pc that the phone will be recognized as Qualcomm 9008
I did the exact same stupid thing... locked bootloader before flashing stock recovery.
This post saved me:
https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/guide-mega-unbrick-guide-for-a-hard-bricked-oneplus-3.452634/
I used method 2 in the post which wiped everything but at least i got the phone back.

Since im a new member I cannot post links so ill have to give you directions.
Search google for Hard Bricked OnePlus 3 and it will be the first one called Mega Unbrick guide.
Use method 2. Ive used it multiple times when flashing goes wrong on my oneplus 3.
Another step, download the latest stock recovery from OnePlus and name it recovery.img and replace the one in the folder. You should understand more when you have all of the files.
You can download the latest recovery from OP at the bottom of the page linked here:
Google OnePlus 3 beta download and it should be the first one saying community build.

Huge problem with moto z2 play trying to flash twrp

Hi. Today I decided to root my device (Moto Z2 Play, XT1710-06) and install a good custom ROM, but after unlocking bootloader I tried to flash the recovery with the command fastboot
PHP:
flash recovery twrp.img
and I got the message
PHP:
error: cannot open 'twrp.img'
. So I went with the newest version for albus (twrp-3.2.3-0-albus.img) and I got this:
PHP:
target reported max download size of 534773760 bytes
sending 'recovery' (15564 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.344s]
writing 'recovery'...
(bootloader) Image not signed or corrupt
OKAY [ 0.195s]
finished. total time: 0.539s
After partially flashed it I could only use it once. When rebooting to system (stock) it would overwrite the stock recovery, so TWRP would dissapear. Then I decided to root with the stock ROM in but it got bootlooped.
Finally, I flash recovery again so I could wipe (Including data and system) and install a custom ROM, but didn't work yet because the error messages I get in TWRP after trying to flash the ROMs zip is ERROR 255. I have tried with ToxicRom, LineageOS and Pixel Experience.
What's happening? Did I do wrong wiping the stock system? I'll appreciate any help.
Thanks for reading.

Flash Magisk, after TWRP.
I kinda solved it. Now I'm on Resurrection Remix Oreo but Magisk 18.0 can't be flashed, neither on LineageOs 15.1
I have the xt1710-06 that the operating system is 32 bit from Argentina
I do not know if it's the same cell phone I finally see that someone manages to install the twrp and a custom rom could do a tutorial please?
there is no tutorial for this model and I do not know if you can install a 64bit android in one that has a 32bit operating system
THANKS
Hi, how did you solve it?
Boot TWRP, then flash it from inside TWRP. Flashing from fastboot always throws some error, but just booting the same image has no problem. And of course TWRP can flash itself.
When flashing Magisk, make sure it keeps dm-verity and enforce encrypt. At least Magisk v19 doesn't give me any problem when setting them before. I think v18 was a version acting up here and there

Hi!!
I have a model XT2013-1. I was having the same problem as you, so I updated TROIKA-RETBR on 02/22/2020.
After updating, I did the procedure of this link "https://forum.xda-developers.com/one-action/how-to/twrp-magisk-root-motorola-one-action-t3975883", skipping the step "8.2- Now tap on Wipe> Format Data> Type Yes and go back to the home screen again. " This step gave me the looping error.
Now root works perfect !!
Thank you very much. I will try it.

It's A/B device so it doesn't have dedicated recovery partition. It's inside boot.img.
Use fastboot boot twrp.img
Once booted to twrp, you can use the twrp installer zip to flash twrp recovery ramdisk to your boot.img for permanent installation.

Did you follow all instructions from twrp thread. like flashing modified vbmeta and wipe data before booting twrp?
Also take a look at the original thread for one vision as it has a newer zip that contains only one modified vbmeta.img instead of two different ones in the older zip that is posted in one action's twrp thread.
I rooted using fastboot, I could never get into TWRP to flash anything.
In fastboot, I flashed the modified vbmeta.img, then flashed the magisk patched boot img file (I created this with magisk), then flashed the patched vbmeta.img file, then did a fastboot wipe.
Rebooted, set up the phone, installed magisk manager and opened, it needed to update some files. Rebooted, and the device was rooted.

You don't need to modify vbmeta.img. I am using the older version of the root Moto Vision package, which has a vbmeta.img file, and a patched vbmeta.img file.
For the modified boot img, I downloaded the full image from https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/troika/official/
Extract, and then take the boot.img file, you will want that saved to a phone that has Magisk installed.
Follow these instructions to patch
https://www.ytechb.com/how-to-patch-a-file-in-magisk-manager/
Once you have that, you will want that patched file into the fastboot directory on your computer. You will also want the vbmeta and the patched vbmeta img files (from the root moto vision package) in this directory. I have not used the updated version, I am using the older. I don't know about using the newer package which only has 1 vbmeta file.
Put your phone into fastboot mode.
Flash the vbmeta.img file, then the magisk patched boot file, then the vbmeta patched file. Then do a fastboot wipe of the phone.
Reboot the phone.
Set it up again, install magisk manager, then open it, and it should ask to configure. Let it do that, it should reboot and after that, you should be rooted.

I guess goofball2k detailed reply might have helped by now. On the other hand, I'm just curious to know that the next time you or anyone else for that matter face the same issue, please flash the stock firmware (using any of the Android 10 tools from here ) at that instance, then again start the same process and let me know whether you succeed or not (you will still have to execute the fastboot boot twrp command around 4-8 times, but during all these attempts, you should now get the success message, and after x number of attempts, you should succeed). So in short, if flashing the stock firmware after that error helps you out, do let me know
Thank you

Question OP9P stuck in fastboot mode, no OS or recovery Help!

I am new to flashing custom roms, and I got lineage running but I wanted to try Evo X, when I tried flashing through lineage Recovery it booted back into lineage, ok, so I erased all datat through lineage recovery and installed TWRP. I got that on but within a few clicks of messing around I found myself with no recovery or OS and im only stuck in fastboot, I have no idea how to get out of it. mods take this post down if posted in the wrong community. I just though this would be the best place to post it. I am new to XDA, I have these ADB logs from the command I was trying to run

I have no idea why it keep failing, I would greatly appreciate any help to get my phone working again.
Try the following command :
fastboot flash boot lineage-recovery.img
Once that is done, boot to recovery from fastboot and try flashing the rom you were trying to.

I have gotten msm tool and my firmware, but nothing is showing up in msm when my device is connected
ive linked a screenshot of what my msm tool looks like, im just so desperate to get my phone back
Power off phone, position mouse cursor o er start button on msm tool, hold down vol up and down simultaneously, plug phone into computer wait a quick second and press start. That should work.

I tried this and when I click to restart into recovery it just boots back into fastboot, this is what ADB says after I use the flash boot command
C:\Users\user\Desktop\platform-tools_r31.0.3-windows\platform-tools>fastboot flash boot lineage-18.1-20210803-recovery-lemonadep.img
Sending 'boot_a' (196608 KB) OKAY [ 4.541s]
Writing 'boot_a' OKAY [ 0.556s]
Finished. Total time: 5.848s

Instead of going for msm tool, when your stuck in fastboot, after successfully flashing an .img (Twrp, losrecovery ) use:
"fastboot --set-active=b" (when you're active in slot a)
Then reboot to recovery.
Basically it flashes okay but to the other slot. Happened to me too. I am now booted into the system on slot b. Hope it helps

I think you should start over and use "fastboot flashing unlock" instead of fastboot oem unlock.
