Question Is it recommended to buy a CN OnePlus converted to OOS by AliExpress? - OnePlus 11

I found this great deal on AliExpress but not sure if it's a good idea to buy a converted device. On Xiaomi it's a bad thing because on some models you can't change back. What do you guys think?
The seller confirmed that they'll unlock BL, flash oos, lock again and test to make sure everything works

Struggling to see why not, other than warranty related logistics maybe?

interesting..
I think is the same phone, bands/firmware is different

You'll be using in North America? You won't have all the bands.

I Like Red Magic 8 square design! Mee Likeee! Flat screen. Almost square corners. The back is too bussy for my taste.
My concern is software. I read that ZTE is Sloowww at updates.

Which 32/3 G3's work well on EE in the UK?

I am a bit confused at which G3 is best for use in the UK.
I'm on EE and have seen that all the Korean models support the necessary networks, but I have been told that they don't work fantastically.
What are the facts?
Thanks in advance.

Handtec sell the european 3/32 version of the G3 for 509.99 maybe that's a safer bet?

Maybe, and thanks for the information as that seems like a good price, but I would really like a definitive answer before spending £500!

I have read some who have the Korean version have issues with it not seeing 4G or losing 4G after a reboot and the European 3/32 version supports all LTE bands within the UK so there won't be any issues with it working in the UK on EE or any other network.
Also you cannot cross flash ie a D855 firmware onto K400 or vice versa.
Thanks for the information both of you.
I think I'll go with the EU version to make sure.
Just for clarity, the D855 is the EU version, and the F400/K400 are the Korean versions?

You can buy it from Amazon.de for almost the same price, plus you have the amazon return policy which is pretty good.

Where to buy Google Pixel XL in New York

Hi,
Going to New York next week, and was wondering if anyone knows where to buy an _unlocked_ Google Pixel XL in New York?
Looks like Best Buy only sells the Pixel with subscription. Since I don't live in the US that is not an option.
Thanks
/Jo Christian

Hi,
Yes I'm aware of the differences in the radio band. But I have done some research and it does not seem to be an big issue here in Norway.

You can purchase from Best Buy without a contract. Be aware that the bootloader is unlockable if it's on 7.1.1.
And if you can find one in stock.

You will not find the Google version in any stores. The Verizon version will be at the Verizon stores and Best Buy. They will most probably be bootloader locked.

Xiaomi Mi6 Global VERSION

Hi there,
I am currently thinking about getting the Mi6. After some research I read more than once in some forums across the web, that there might be a Global VERSION coming, naturally supporting more LTE bands, as they have done it before to other xiaomi phones.
Geekbuying already had a Global VERSION listed, others saying Xiaomi is trying to hit ground in Russia and Greece in the future.
Since I am pretty new to the ChinaPhone Area I would like to know if something like this sounds possible to you? In that case I would wait a few more weeks if something like a Global VERSION would pop up.
Thanks in advance :good:

Hello, I've bought a MI6 that already came with global version. If you buy it with other, you can download it here:

It's a great phone with lower price, it worth it

Hi,
I did not mean the Global ROM. I meant a Global VERSION of the phone. The Global ROM does not unlock any LTE Bands.
It just felt like there are rumors about a different version of the phone coming in the future. That's why I asked if anybody knew something.

MI6 global version:
http://en.miui.com/thread-731235-1-1.html
Available here:

Thank you, but it seems like they are defining Global Version also just as the Mi6 running the Global Rom on it. Aliexpress is not mentioning any different specs than the "standard" Mi6. The review is also just talking about the Global Rom on the "standard" Mi6.
Maybe I was just wishing that they might release another version of the mi6 running more or other LTE bands than the one which is out already. Too bad.
Global ROM - with more languages than English and Chinese - is available.
Usually it takes a little more time to come out (2 weeks to 1 month) but it is available for all Xiaomi devices.
It comes with Google Services and improvements for usability outside of mainland China, namely GPS.
Global Versions is on the hardware side.
It usually enables more LTE bands (e.g. Band 20 @ 800MHz on the Redmi 4X), brings an EU charger and is CE / FCC certified.
It has also the Global ROM pre-installed.
So we are waiting for a Mi6 Global Version ... even though it might not come. Just looked at the mi sites in Taiwan, Russia and Poland: mi6 is available but same specs as everywhere - no B20 band mentioned.
I really do not know if Xiaomi is going to release a global version of Mi6.
But OP5 has a bunch of 4g bands.
What do u think about OP5?
I read a review in miui forum. The guy has International version, which had english specifications on the box. I boughy Intetnational version from Gearbest. The send me Chinese box with global shop rom. So that means there is a international version but you have to clarify with seller. Or consider other phone.

Had the OP5 for a few days and send it back. It did not feel fully developed yet. The viewable expanding/contracting of pixels was annoying, Camera worse than advertised, Bluetooth did not work out of the box and the customer service with OP is a big ****up since I have been returning it. Its not worth the price it has. Most of it could be resolved by software, so it might become a better phone in the future. But the customer service is so annoying, that I wont be turning back to OP. Better no customer service at all and lots of money less

All the sellers [ gearbest, tradingshenzhen, etc. ] do not know about an international version supporting B20 yet. So sadly, there is nothing to clarify.

My point is these sellers unbox and flash shop ROM on Chinese Version then sells them as International Version to earn more money. You have to "clarify" this before you buy to make sure you get what you want and pay for.
In case of band 20, the only way to know is to try contact to people who has originally International version to confirm. I don't think these kind of sellers will tell you the truth.

Gearbest international versions are fakes. It´s the chinese phone with the global rom installed by the shop.
Original xiaomi phones are called "Global version". And for the second time, you can buy it here: https://es.aliexpress.com/store/pro...a8a4ce16758051b7b-1502703643253-09604-UfYbAe2

Why do you use language like this? It's unnecessary. It's condescending on a thread that has what - 3 users?! Really.
Having said that - yes, the Global version IS different from Chinese with Global ROM.
I got the blue ceramic Chinese with Global ROM because I couldn't seem to find it anywhere as INTERNATIONAL.
Works well for me: Specs vis-a-vis bands etc

Never ordered something from there. I have heard of it though. Is it legit? And do you know if it'll work for USA T-Mobile?
Yes it is legit and will work with Tmobile 4g bands, hence i ordered almostb10 xiaomi devices from several stores in Hk and mainland China
I've seen them on Amazon as well

Question Slovak sim card

Would T-Mobile locked phone work with Slovak T-Mobile sim card?
Can you please clarify:
Where ( region/country) are you intending to use the phone. It feels like it's going to be in the country the SIM is from, is that right?
I ask as it maybe easier and less headache to convert the phone to a different region.
Im sure someone with my more knowledge and experience maybe able to help you more than it have.
I want use it in Slovakia with Slovak sim card.
If T-Mobile is your carrier in Slovakia, then yes it will work. You can verify this at a T-Mobile store just to make sure with the added assurance!
Seller from AliExpress said everything works perfect no problem don't vory and guy from TMobile Slovakia said we don't know but better buy phone from us

Only problem with buying from AliExpress, you can't be 100% sure that you will get what is described on the website. I have heard from some in these forums ordering from different websites that what they actually got was different from what was described. So yes, ordering from TMO would be best, but one way or another with the support of everyone here in XDA, you should be OK either way.

its ok. in EU always from oneplus.com.
1. In Slovakia we don't have offers like in USA. 2. I don't pay 1000€ for phone. 3. I buyed 4 phones from AliExpress without any problems, 1Poco 2Xiaomi and 1 OnePlus 6 that I use fourth year till now. 4. With this OnePlus 9 pro's is the biggest problem that people don't read full description and then are surprised when they become TMobile USA locked phone. 5. Mi question was would this phone work with Slovak sim card?
If you genuinely trust the buyer and that you're 100% confident you're going to receive a genuine TMO (le2127), then the choice is yours.
I feel that people are saying it maybe beneficial for you to buy directly OnePlus 9 Pro (EU) LE2123 (Global), LE2121 (India), LE2120(China)
As there could be a chance the seller has bought the phone from another region and converted it to TMO.
All I'm saying is be confident, ask for a picture of the box ( IMEI scrubbed out ), look for the phone model number, ask for a clear photo of the back of the phone, look for the model number at the back near the base of the phone.
The other benefit if you buying direct from OnePlus is you get a full 3 years warranty.
I agree with AndyC76, otherwise the phone should work with Slovakia TMO SIM card on TMO service.
