We are very excited to announce Paranoid Android Topaz, based on Android 13.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with beautiful wallpapers from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app from the PlayStore.
Our builds are based on the Code Linaro Organization Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.

Thank you so much for this ROM. I want to try out this ROM. Do we have to be on OOS 12 or 11 before flashing this?

ROM comes with firmware, you'll be able to flash it regardless of OOS version as long as your bootloader is unlocked.
Thank you for all the effort, Timo. It's all fine for now.

Hi timo first of all thank you for this amazing rom i want to know about the nfc toggle tile i cant find it is this normal?

@timo_capa or if anyone can please kindly provide simple instructions on how to flash this custom ROM. Provide a simple guide on how to install it via Recovery option and Fastboot option.
I tried flashing it and I ended up softbricking my OnePlus 7 Pro. Please it is not everyone that is on Telegram so kindly provide installation instructions on the first post. Thank you

Open boot loader with
Code:
fastboot oem unlock
boot into fastboot mode
place rom file inside adb folder & run
Code:
fastboot update romname.image.zip
Make sure you download the .image.zip file
On first boot it will ask you to reset data, Reset your data & thats it

thanks for your hard work,,,
i flashed and used for one day,,,
battery timing was best, even better than oos10..
i faced some minor UI glitches,, as this is first built,, it's ok.. ROM id smooth.
charging speed is better than oos10..
the reason why i have to come back to oos10, was Snapchat chatting bug,,,
example if i send a msg , it will not show in settings and will send after hours.. some msgs even weren't send....
please fix Snapchat issue or if someone know how to solve Snapchat chat issue, please reply to this comment...
2nd it's showing device isn't certified, please solve it too.
Note: if anyone facing issue related fastboot option,, i mean if your device stuck on Bootloader warning,,, even after format data,,,, then please flash all partitions manually then then restart to recovery, format data then reboot to system... this is how i was able to boot ROM

I recommend OpenGapps.
Flashing procedure is
Flash Carbon
Flash TWRP
Reboot to recovery (this switches slots, it's important)
Flash GApps
Done
is anyone else having trouble with Gboard themes on this ROM? If I pick a gradient theme it just hangs and crashes.
I flashed this with Mini gapps first and had a hard time getting through setup, tried again with pico with more success.

I flashed the micro package and can't even get past checking for updates. The data transfer tool keeps just keeps crashing.
Edit: Tried flashing the pico package instead and now device health services keeps crashing.
Has anyone tried razorloves' MindTheGapps package?

Leave out the "Flash TWRP" part and replace "reboot to recovery" with "reboot to bootloader and boot the twrp image"
Not judging but simply confused...
I see people not wanting to install twrp and it just makes no sense to me why I would want to limit my options and functionality.
It's been like almost a year since twrp had been totally stable for me with no decryption or touch issues.
Again, what is it folks are afraid of??
I'm digging how clean and fast this ROM is. Hopefully you get your server issues resolved soon.
Trying this out again! Carbon was the first ROM I've ever used on my Pixel 2 XL and absolutely loved the experience.

So do I... We already have a new host because we're fed up with the old one. Currently waiting for the old one to finally answer our support ticket and bring the server back on so we can move our data to the new server and can call it a day with the old host.
Has anyone tried installing NanoDroid with this?
I went from factory image -> flash rom -> flash twrp -> reboot recovery -> flash magisk -> flash full nanodroid.zip
This leads to a bootloop until it boots back into recovery
When I try to set up any password, it does not let me proceed after the second test. Confirm gets grayed out

The issue here would be magisk. You usually need to boot to the system at least once before you can sucessfully flash Magisk. Don't know the reasons but it's seems to be an ongoing theme on A/B devices. Same happens on my OP6 and 6T

So theoretically I need flash the rom in 'A,' flash magisk on 'B', boot into the system once, reboot recovery into 'B,' and then install nanodroid?
Edit: Well I ignored Magisk and rebooted to recovery to install nanodroid after rom installation and it booted back into recovery unfortunately.

when i flash a new rom if i end up in a bootloop and get that encryption bug. What I do is pick the 3rd option that completely wipes your system (with everything backed up to my sd card) then try installing the rom. when you finish flashing it reboot back into recovery again and flash it again. also make sure pretty much everything but cache/dalvik and data and not mounted.
took me a bit of trial and error and I have no clue why but ive been flashing roms this way without fail since i installed pbrb3 recovery. Aospa, RR, evolution and another one that i found on androidfilehost lol.

hows your opinion on my rom?
Anyone checked if high refresh rate works? That's the only thing that stops me form installing a custom rom
Same here. I'm eager to try it. 120hz would be a necessity.
Also, are all cameras fully working?

We are very excited to announce the stable release of Paranoid Android Topaz, based on Android 13.

We kindly ask all of you that are in a position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

I see you know each other. I am a beginner. Write which files and in what order to upload so that the phone accepts paranoid android. Thanks in advance.

I am very proud of this. thank you very much! I think that this is the only existing rom for this device (RMX2075) and it is amazing that someone is doing it because I think that Realme is leaving us alone

Hi, thanks to developer for the first ROM on x50 pro, but ... I had installed on my rmx2075 and was very disappointed - very poor customization options, no always on display, and camera works with only one sensor, (better don't talk about camera app). After one day came back to stock (was not so ease...) .

Do you use Telegram tutorial ?
Wipe all in TWRP, flash stock ROM, wipe data, dalvik, cache.
TheMalachite :Thanks for your work.
Unfortunately I've some issues :
- Fingerprint registered but not recognized, even after reboot, deleting, recreating).
- USB connection stop working (all parameters greyed out) > Solved by activating USB debugging
Sorry, I'ven't logcat configured...

Thanks. Does it work in my case? What ofp should I download and try to flash? Global for rmx2071 or global for rmx2076? The phone is rmx2071 (china rom). As you can see in the images I uploaded, it asks for rmx2076L under twrp.
or paranoid?
it works great on my RMX2071 the only problem i have is play protect certification

I've been through many ROMs since I bought my poco and I can say, without any doubt, that this is the most stable and battery saver. Thanks a lot, dev!

Paranoid it's more stable and has better battery life, Arrow has a bit more features. I really hope we get pass the "beta" phase this time, this rom is among the legendary ones and it's a prime example of what a custom rom should be.

Yes, ive tried It (was my daily ROM at a12.1 so thought would be the same with a13) but have found aospa more stable (no headphone problems when received a call, less idle drain, fixed round corners, etc)
The only thing that i miss is the hbm.
Excellent ROM! but only few notification and call ringtones working, others are causing error and crash.
BUG REPORT. Thanks for the work!

I cannot agree more, I'm sticking with this ROM for a while, my only issue is that I can't hide the pill bar, even with magisk and for some reason orange fox is not working with the rom
Can you please share what's not working with orange fox? I think about moving to PA and I'm currently using orange fox as recovery. Thank you!

So it's kinda weird, I first tried to install the rom with orange fox and got stuck in the splash screen, then installed the rom from fastboot, all good but I tried to do fastboot boot to orange fox and just got stuck in a black screen, fastboot boot worked with TWRP but could not mount system so flashing magisk failed, but patching the boot image and flashing it from fastboot worked, so I'm using the rom and it's rooted but with no custom recovery

Yes, before and after, tried a couple of times, if you wanna flash from recovery I would sugest to use the rom's stock recovery
Did anyone succeed flashing this through recovery? If so, what recovery did you use?
Thank you for sharing!

Well, I flashed it successfully with OrangeFox (my current working build - I haven't tried with the latest released version, but I don't see how that would make a difference).
I guess that the trick is to format data before flashing the ROM, and, immediately after flashing the ROM, reboot OrangeFox (ignoring any errors that might be shown), and then format data again. Then reboot to system (again ignoring any errors be shown).
BTW: I flashed it successfully two different times, just to satisfy myself that the first success wasn't a fluke (it wasn't a fluke).

It doesn't seem that you can "fastboot boot" a recovery at all on this ROM.
You might have to flash it via "fastboot flash boot recovery.img", and then run "fastboot reboot recovery".
BTW: why would you want to use a Beta 11.1_1_5_A12 release that has been superseded by a subsequent Stable release?

Thanks for your reply, that´s what I learned as well. You can´t fastboot boot any recovery on PA yet. I didn´t try fastboot flash yet since everything else works pretty fine and installing my phone from scratch again is something I try to avoid for at least a month now
Regarding the beta build: I wasn´t aware of the stable release. I had the beta image file somewhere and gave it a try.
