Question How to root OP11 CPH2449_11_A.06 - OnePlus 11

I cannot see the wood for the trees anymore. I want to root my EU variant OP11 phone and im coming from an OP7, the root for that phone was easy. What i understood from XDA forum colleagues is that they have hard time to root OP11 e.g. bootloop, sim issues, fingerprint issues etc.
I need an overview or a good manual, can someone help me.
Thanks!

PROPER CPH2451 Root and Update instructions
This is for the CPH2451 Rom, but should also work for other roms. I have returned my device so I will not be updating this with future updates. I have validated these instructions work for CPH2451 NA version so it's your choice to follow it or...
forum.xda-developers.com
This works for my CPH2447. Shud work for CPH2449 also.

Thanks. I will execute this today. No issues on your device?

Hello, I want to downgrade my LG G4 (Software Version: H81220U) from Marshmallow to Lollipop so that I can root my phone. Could anybody guide me to achieve a downgrade AND a root? My carrier is Telus/Koodo in case it's relevant information.

first you need to nkow if tou can as in some models antirollback changes and makes it imposible to downgrade. so first make sure that antirollback versions they are if the same then you may if different then youll hard brick phone.
Hi @syphlect
Did you manage to downgrade it?
Have searched all the forums, did not find a way to root the LG G4 H1220u Koodo version.
let me know if you found any links
Use ...
Use ... LGUP - NEW ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lgup-install-kdz-mm-lp-t3249803 ) to downgrade from MM to LP. You want H81210 for your Lollipop KDZ. Once you've done that, you can install a pre-rooted image (easier) or root your own extracted KDZ. Note: You will not be able to obtain root through any of the Root-Apps - check out the link in the next paragraph for the general how-to for the H812, if you have not already done so.
Refer to [Canadian Guide] - Complete Source for the LG G4 H812. Linux VM/Root/Tools&Files at: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/canadian-guide-complete-source-lg-g4-t3212449 for the how-to on rooting the H812.
Follow the Root ANY LG G4 Variant 100% Success Directives | Root Injection | Less Bricks (https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/lg-g4-100-root-success-directives-root-t3180586) ONLY for installing the rooted image and use the command for the H812 model in the 2nd post here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/...ot-lg-t3164765 found in the following box: Command to Flash System.img (All Variants):
Once done, because you still will have a locked bootloader, you will not be able to install a regular version of a custom recovery or flash a custom rom (that may come eventually when efidroid is managed to be ported to the locked LG4's). However, you will be able to install a non-regular version of a custom recovery with TWRP-in-FisH that has been tested on the H812 and is working just fine with Version 3 Beta 4 and 5 (you can find those links in the later posts in that site): [LOCKED][G4][TWRP][UNOFFICIAL] TWRP-in-FIsH for all locked G4 devices at https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/locked-twrpinfish-locked-g4-devices-t3573048
Good luck.

Yeah could not find specific to koodo Canada. Need to see if its safe to go with something similar to it.
Also I see my current software version is H81220Z. It got updated overnight even though I un-checked to install updates automatically.
Will the LGUP process still work to downgrade?

Koodo is on the ... Telus network. You can use Telus KDZ's (doesn't specifically have to be H81210Z and they seem to be available (check the Canadian Guide) - others have indicated you can use other Canadian providers (read the Canadian guide). I can't confirm this personally.
Use LGUP-NEW for sure as you are less likely to brick from what I understand if an anti-rollback provision has been put in on the latest firmware upgrade.

Rootig h812 with rooted system.img

Hi,
I have an Lg G4 h812 with H1220z software version. Now i have a few questions someone needs to answer.
Can and how do i downgrade with a kdz from this site(http://bit.ly/2qR71rQ) and root using a h81210b image (http://bit.ly/2q2Rbve) without anything going sideways?
And can you upgrade to MM keeping root?
And if it IS not compatible, what is?
Help (and no things going sideways) would be appreciated

Read through everything carefully. You'll find everything you need if not in the OP, in the member posts. You cannot upgrade to MM and keep root and you cannot install any custom rom at this stage as the H812 has a locked bootloader that cannot be officially unlocked.
With steadfasterX's TWRP-in-FisH (https://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/development/locked-twrpinfish-locked-g4-devices-t3573048) you can install a customized version of TWRP recovery that will allow you to back up your complete phone.

You are looking for an H81210 for Lollipop. I would suggest H81210N or higher for your rooted image as it has the latest Stagefright vulnerability security update. You can however use for your stock Lollipop image a lower version, e.g. H81210H before flashing your rooted image. The only caveat is that you may want to use Rogers/Fido firmware if that is your carrier, otherwise you will lose voLTE.
Again, I suggest you read through the posts, search for answers in the Canadian Guide. It's all been covered there.
Addendum: Koodo is on the Telus network.

(Japan) OK to flash DoCoMo firmware to au model?

I have a brand new kddi au SCV38 (Galaxy S9) and a docomo SIM from one of the discount providers (Rakuten). The docomo version of the same phone is SC-02K. au and docomo use slightly different LTE bands. Is there anything speaking against flashing a docomo stock rom to the au phone?
Answering my own question, in case anyone else ever wonders. I've flashed the latest Docomo stock firmware to the au phone and for all I can see, everything works just fine. The only thing I'm left wondering about is use of the docomo LTE bands. Some of these are different from au bands. No idea whether the au phone with the docomo ROM will be able to use all docomo bands. If I ever have an answer to that, I'll post that here as well.
To flash the docomo ROM to the au phone, I followed the below instructions.
https://gadgetdamage.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-104.html
Hi Axel,
As you said that you were already successful to install docomo ROM to au model, I assume that you already rooted the device. Could you show me the tutorial to do such thing? I use au S9+ and I want to get a root access, since there's many bloatware I want to remove. Thanx in advance, man.

Help! OnePlus 7T CN Version

Hello.
I found a good deal on a 7T 256+8 CN version, which is cheaper than getting it directly from OnePlus european store, where they only sell more expensive 128+8.
Few questions:
1. This is my first OP device, could anyone please tell me step by step how to install OxygenOS?
2. Switching between HydrogenOS and OxygenOS, do i need to lock/unlock bootloader?
3. Since the version i'm getting is CN 256GB, will the official EU OxygenOS build even work on the phone? Considering they only sell 128GB in EU. Won't it bug out?
4. After i flash OxygenOS, will it just work normally as it would with EU phone? Support OTA? No other difference in functioning?
5. Since the phone will be imported from China, will it have any IMEI issues or something hardware related? LTE bands are the same.
6. Any other things i should know about? I tried to think about all the could-be roadblocks, but any other tip is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. Just so i understand, i'm not looking to root the phone nor do i want to mess with the bootloader. All i want to do once i get it is to flash stock OxygenOS, latest version and completely remove CN ROM. From other info i gathered while browsing google, OP phones are one of the only ones that allow to switch from CN to EU ROM seamlessly without messing with any commands or programs.
From what i understand, i need to enable some option in developer settings, then download EU ROM from oneplus website, then in phone settings go to update-local update and just select the downloaded EU Rom? Can you confirm if that's basically all there is to it?
Much appreciated!

Hi everyone, similar to the previous threads for
OP3, OP3T, OP5, OP5T, OP6, OP6T, OP7 and OP7PRO here is the EDL package (also known as MSM tool or unbrick tool) that can revive a bricked OnePlus 7T.
It can also be used to rollback your phone to a previous release of OOS.
You can download the following versions:

It should work with HD1900 (Chinese variant), HD1901 (Indian variant) and HD1905 (North America) models.
Instructions:
Power your device off
Maintain volume up and volume down keys to get into Qualcomm EDL mode.
Launch MsmDownloadTool V4.0.exe.
Click on Enum to be sure your device is detected and press Start.
Wait ~300 seconds
Enjoy your brand new device
FAQ:
I see a target button, what is that?
As you may (or may not!) be aware there are starting from 7T-Series build specifics to India.
Selecting "O2" as target should give you the global firmware while selecting "India" as target should give you the Indian one. See
https://imgur.com/2ipNyIy
for a screenshot.
My device isn't detected when I click on "Enum" button
Go to device manager and make sure your phone shows up as QDLOADER 9008.
If it shows up as QHUSB_BULK, it means Qualcomm driver wasn't installed automatically by Windows Update. Download the latest one from Microsoft website at http://download.windowsupdate.com/c..._fba473728483260906ba044af3c063e309e6259d.cab (source https://www.catalog.update.microsof...updateid=8ee52ba0-bdef-4009-88cf-335a678dd67a ) and install it manually by right clicking on QHUSB_BULK and selecting "Update driver software" and "Browse my computer for driver software" to where you downloaded CAB file.
MSM tool is stuck on "Param pre-processing"
Ensure you're using the Qualcomm drivers linked in first part of this FAQ.
What is SMT Download mode?
Just don't try to unlock that mode, it will wipe your IMEI and your Widevine certificate if you use it.

There's probably some potential if T-Mobile one got released. Not to mention that in case something goes wrong it will be nice for you to be able to go back to T-Mobile firmware.
Even if I don't own the devices, I remember that what was done six months ago for the 7 Pro was patching the OPS file directly and unchecking SHA256 check box in MSM tool window as OnePlus implemented additional protections disallowing to patch the .exe directly in the same way at what was done for the 6T. My guess is same will have to be done for 7T.
Unsupported Target EU
Thanks a lot for providing this for all of us!
However, I just did it and it stopped after 6s stating: "Unsupported Target EU". Does this have something to do with my device being the EU-Version? Doesn't the MSM Tool work for my device?

However, I just did it and it stopped after 6s stating: "Unsupported Target EU". Does this have something to do with my device being the EU-Version? Doesn't the MSM Tool work for my device?

That might be due to that indeed and that's very weird as for OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro MSM tools allowed you to crossflash build without any issue ...

I have a OnePlus 7T with Indian firmware installed. Will this tool help me to convert to International? Also, are the steps for backing up the 7T's IMEI the same as 6T?
Thanks in advance.
Need 7T Pro's Unbrick tool
Does anybody know how to get a MSMDownloadTool for the EU-Version of Oneplus 7T (HD1903)?
Will be watching this to rebrand T-Mobile to international
Is it necessary to have the bootloader unlocked?

I believe that choosing target as international will allow you to switch to international firmware. Note that I however did not try as I do not own a unit. Feel free to do so and report back and don't forget that it will wipe all your internal storage!

I'm afraid you didn't manage to find 7T Pro forum

You can get it from support if your device bricked.

Tool should work regardless of bootloader state.

Any chances of IMEI getting corrupted if I convert from Indian to international?

Probably not necessary. I just took the leep in the dark and went with "O2". And it all worked fine!
My 7t was hard bricked (only qualcomm modem working), and German OnePlus support wouldn't even want to get me the MSM tool (they said they didn't have it at their disposal, yet). Now, after using just this thread's exact MSM tool, with O2 Setting, my 7t is back on and I even manavged to fully root it!

Thank you, is it still shown as HD1903? European version?

That is really great to you went and took the risk for us!
Now I cannot wait to try this at home in a couple days on my hard-bricked French OP7T. For the anecdote, I got kind of the same response you did, from the French support chat. That they don't have the flashing tool at their disposal yet. Sounds like bull, but they apparently won't to a remote flash for us in Europe. Myself I really didn't want to send it for repair after reading the horrendous stories about OnePlus service centers. Neither did I really look forward to taking another spin at the OLED screen lottery! Thanks for that, man.
how do I know the phone got into EDL mode?
Nevermind, it worked. OP pls note that this tool also works for HD1900 version

can you share the patched boot file you used to root it without losing wifi? You used this tool so you should have the 10.0.4 HD65AA version of rom yes? So what was the file you used?
