How do i compile a rom using zip?

Hello,
I am wondering how i can compile all the parts of a rom using winzip. i have done modding everything to the rom and will test it out, then upload it to the DEV section. please help me. winzip is not accepting my folder add option but just files.

Here is more info, when I add the files to the Roms zip file, it does not allow adding the full folders such as system folder but only single files in it. The file boot could be transferred.

You cant just add mods to the framwork ect before flashing you will end up with a bootloop, you have to decompile the apk's like framework-res.apk, modify them and recompile ..... you should use winrar not winzip in any case

Thanks for your time What about if i did a theme on a online kitchen and i have to use that framework-res.apk instead of the original? than what do i do? Or do i really need to change it?

Making Themes

So, i wanna make a theme for P6. My question is, how it is possible. I search a web for some solution but i can figure it out how to do it.

with hisuite. conect your p6, and active hi suite mode, in hi suite programe is a option for personalization. in this you can create your themes

Yes last update not have this option bat this version have:HiSuiteSetup_v1.8.10.2006

extract .hwt with 7zip or winrar, edit the files and repack it as .zip and then rename the .zip to .hwt

Ys i tried that too, but its not working, properly.

The way to edit a .hwt file is to in on the file with the winrar and replaces a png image for another....just in on the file,never extract....after of change what you want,before that close winrar saves the changes.
To this way I did it,here a theme modified for me :

@Xavier102296 .... Which do you want? The original mp4 version or a version using jpg frames ? Either way it will be a zip file which is installed via a File Manager... NOT a flashable zip.

@Xavier102296 .... Here are the two animations. Not teaching you to suck eggs, just so it's clear for you I'll give you two separate instructions.
1) The mp4 anim .... after you download it change the name to bootanimation.zip, then use a File Manager to move it to the following folder .... /data/local/moodle/ ....
2) The JPG anim .... after you download it change the name to bootanimation.zip then use a File Manager to move it to the following folder .... /system/media/ ....
Please NOTE the following points.... These are not "Recovery flashable zips" .... do NOT open the zip file to install .... if you want to keep your current animation rename it before you start (or it will get overwritten)
I have tried them on my XT1034 and they work on that....Usual words of caution, I am not responsible etc.etc.

1. change extension from .theme to .zip and extract it.
2.find icons file and replace it or you can extract it(add .zip extension)
3. repack all, for icons.zip, delete .zip extension and for theme archive, change extension from .zip to .theme
Your tool is file manager app ?️, just use it!

No, it doesn't work. I have tried again with several themes. And when I apply these themes, the icons don't show up.
Could you please also try with it? If you have a working theme, could you please share it?

Your icon pack is not fully compatible with color os 5.1

One element on the zip file is missing... It is the "allapps.xml"... The one thing that is very important to generate the icons onto homescreen...

Thank you very much! Seems like something missing in the pack. I will find it and post it here again. One question about the icons is: are the dynamic icons working, like: the config icon should rotate.

Compile .hwt for EMUI 9 from folder/.zip?

Is there a way for us to create a .hwt after editing the files inside? I've tried using WinRAR to compress a theme folder into a .zip, and changing the extension to .hwt, but the Huawei Themes app does not detect the file. Is there any other way to edit Huwei themes, including individual apps?
