Are you sure that after installing the ROM, TWRP will remain in place?

I have originally VAU CSC, it's G988B/DS, physical dual sims were working before updating to OneUI 5.1, after that only 1 sim physical ane 2nd is eSim, I tried to install OneUI 5.0 but on the setup screen dual sims work then suddenly change to 1 sim and 1 eSim. I changed the CSC but no luck. That's why I want to try a custom rom. Could you please help me?

So flash the newest firmware then go through setup wizard then open up settings do you have SIM manager in connections

Issues after CM 10.2 install on Galaxy Grand

Hello
Just finished installing CM10.2 on my galaxy grand using
4.2-THL-CWM-Touch-6.0.3.6-Baffin-Odin for recovery (tanx to iceyhotguy & kenxda33 ),
cm-10.2-20131117-UNOFFICIAL-baffin, and
gapps-jb-20130813-signed.
CM 10.2 is truly amazing and beautiful, but
- only one sim is active, 2nd sim not activated
- can't access external SD card (tried mounting SD card, but doesn't work)
- can't receive a call or dial out, - phone reboots each time
Please is there a work around for fixing these issue?
Also, is there a way to get back to the stock 4.2.2?
Tanx

First, if you are on CM10.2, your grand is not unrooted like you mentioned in post #2. Your phone was rooted when you completed flashing recovery and SuperSU
Secondly, CM10.2 is an under-development ROM, and currently supports only 1 SIM. And yes phone reboot is an issue they are trying to solve at the moment. It's only available so users can test and report back what's working in the new build and provide logcats so they look the problem.
The externalSD card issue has been solved in the recent builds already
To get back on stock you will need to flash the 4.2.2 firmware through Odin or flash any 4.2.2 stock-based ROM like GENNXT, RVR's stock based ROM or X-PeriaZ flavor through CWM recovery
If you flash your firmware again, you will have to repeat the recovery flashing method (this will have have to do done whenever you flashing any firmware through Odin)
GENNXT - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2196558
XperiaZ Flavor - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2304492

Hi iceyhotguy
Tanx for the info. Very helpful. I'll follow your suggestion. Please does GENNXT support dual sim?
I'll be on the lookout for when the dual sim issue is fixed in CyanogenMod.
Many tanx.

Guys PLEASE HELP

Hi,
I just installed 3 different roms on my phone and none of them works fine.
I installed:
1. dr.krtans rom from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2472270
2. [MK4]DN3(Ditto Note 3) ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2502713
3. [Rom][Odin][4.3] N7100XXUEMK4 Knox Free - Non-Wipe
After every installation my phone has no network (e.g. it does not recognize my carrier).
I have no idea what to do. PLEASE PLEASE HELP me out here...
i'm running on doc v6.1 it's working great
maybe you would like to try other older modem to see if it support your area.
in Dr. Ketan's rom you get to choose whether you want to use MJ5 or MJ9 modem
if it still doesn't show any network. try the fix. doc have a link in the front page for that issue
do you have stock modem files backup? if yes just flash it
I flashed OmniRom and had the same problem as you, but I fixed it by rebooting my phone, reinserting my simcard and leaving my phone idle for a few minutes(probably 30 mins or so) and the carrier was recognized. Maybe this might help you.
what link

Just install the patched kernel and bootloader from below links. Flash them via cwm. I found these on xda but I really do not remember who made this. So credits go to who made this

[patch][lollipop][ls980][stock based]

Hy guys, I'm trying to make a patch (from grola v2 ls980 patch and zvg update) that can made every stock based Lollipop rom work on LS980 sprint G2.
I tested it on G2PRO2 v5 port and on Grola/simple rom and it works without the signal drops that other patchs have.
Tested on CloudyG2 3.1 and it boot and seem stable [couple of hours now].
Now cloudy made his own patch so use it not mine.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now the baseband is properly displayed, not unknown.
I'm not responsable of brick, phone explosion, sexually transmitted infections, etc.
Installation
0 do a backup
1 you must be on a bumped TWRP
2 flash kk bootloader
3 reboot recovery
4 wipe
5 flash your choosed LP rom
6 DON'T REBOOT
7 flash the patch
8 flash again your twrp recovery
9 reboot
10 enjoy the rom (especially cloudy's one)

so we can use any d802 rom on ls980 now? or is it just for simple rom
I have tried simple (korean) and GPRO2 v5 final (d802) and them works. So in theory this patch can made every LP stock based rom LS980 compatible.

Thank you! If you want you can test the patch on some roms and give me feedbacks. I want to understand the differences in gps and led between the variants, so we can fix everything on every rom.

So this is ls980 boot loader for zve. I believe I can find the right commands to pull laf partition and kernel to bump. So we can get TWRP on the LS980 or at least I understand that is the necessity.

Will do...Let me know which rom you want me to test it on .. Shall I try it on Cloudy's Lollipop rom ?
Btw did you try renaming the product/model lines in the build.prop, to ls980,if not the roms will use the specified d805 or w/e propietary blobs. im not to sure if the lg g2's gps modules are cross compatible with the different models. But i would try this, this way it uses our propietary blobs that you included in patch(system/lib/modules). btw the recovery.img you included in the patch is that the stock recovery, or twrp bumped?

Tried it... The rom itself doesnt flash properly. I think this is incompatible version due to cloudy's scripts. End Result : System & Data deleted and the phone reboots back to recovery.
imho, we need to update the original zip made by cloudy for his rom.
Do you think it'll work if i use your patch, flash a rom based on official lp for d802, and use the bluecyclon kernel?

I think not, if I remember well is a d802 kernel, you need an ls980 kernel.

Stock Rom T835 [ARK4] DeKnoxed

hello,
I made this TWRP flashable zip from December ARK4 Samsung firmware, using SuperRKitchen. It's deKnoxed and untouched apart from the lightest of debloated apps. Everything else is untouched and as per Samsung firmware. No root is included or any other mods or additions. I made this for myself, but offer it here for any interested parties. I'm not a dev, script warrior or ROM master. Just a guy with a T835. I was already on ARK4, but I include the ARK4 vendor image if you need to flash in twrp. It's v4 as it took me 3 attempts to make it! You just need to flash Magisk and/or Modesty Kernel if you want.
ROM - https://drive.google.com/open?id=14CokHkIahzI_Rk3OR2TgErqy8bgVF9br
ARK4 Vendor image: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1dgV-KDBZw7EeCnWcHozR-vx4oKdNG7Ee
Modesty Kernel: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-tab-s4/development/kernel-modesty-0-99-4-t3856088
Magisk: https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/official-magisk-v7-universal-systemless-t3473445
I don't get my tab s4 until tomorrow, but I'd like to thank you for making this. I know I'll end up using this when I inevitably screw up using one of the roots or debloats.
