Question Cannot manual update - Xiaomi 11T

Hi all, I do not seem to have the three dots in the upper right corner when going to Settings / About phone / MIUI Version. I wonder why is that?

Trying to tap several times on the MIUI 13 logo

I did and get the notification that additional features are on without any change.

If you have a theme, put the default one.
It may be because you have an update.

I do not have a specific theme installed. See attached screenshot.

It may be because you have an update

An update for what and how can I solve this? Thank you.

According to the 1st post you have to reboot to install the update.

When I reboot nothing is happening the phone just restarts and when I go back I see the same thing (?)

And what is the current rom version?

It's MIUI 13.0.8.0 Stable. I know that MIUI 14 Global is out now and that is way I am looking into this.

Try deleting all updater data and reboot.

If you have the update icon, long press on it / information / erase data.
Or settings / app management / installed apps / 3 dots at the top right / displayed all apps / search for update apps

Are you referring to this

I also got this issue, anyone has a clue? at my nexus 6 btw
I got the 6.0.1 OTA just now and I'll check once it's installed. Maybe try wiping data and/or cache for it?
UPDATE: Just checked and not an issue for me. Running stock and not rooted... yet.

Just an idea but go to your Developer options then scroll to the very bottom and select Inactive apps. Touch to toggle it for calculator and try again.

Thankyou for the brain storming you guys, still it didnt had any effect.
6p, and I have the same issue.. Strange.
Did you guys flash the update using factory image files or did you flash the actual OTA file? Because I find that flashing files from the factory images to update can cause issues sometimes. The OTA files sometimes have upgrade scripts that may change some things that need to be changed on the /data partition and you wouldn't get those changes if you just flashed the new /system partition.
Last night I was having this issue (as mentioned above). Today, the calculator app opens up just fine. Even more strange...

[LG D855] [Cloudy 2.5] Can't install downloaded apps

Hi everyone!
I flashed Cloudy 2.5 today and I am having a little bug. Whenever I download an apk file and proceed to install it (I have already checked the option in the developer menu) I can't click the Install button. I mean, I can click it, but the installation process doesn't begin. I can only hit the abort button and the installation is not completed.
Anyone is aware of this bug? Any solution?

Miui 10?

Two days ago my updater said new update available which was miui 10 but when I tried to download it... The updater says no updates available ( I cannot post the link to the image since I'm new member). Mine is currently 9.6.4.0 (OEICNFD). Do I need to do something to fix that or I just have to wait? Anyone facing same problem like me? Thanks for your attention.

Have a look here: https://www.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-note-5-pro-mi-5-mi-6-mi-mix-mix-2-mi-note-2-miui-10-global-stable/
Just download the rom for the Redmi Note 5, and then install it manually. It's the Global version, btw. I did this with mine and it feels even more snappier. Nonetheless, there is some behaviour with the navigation bar, and perhaps some notifications won't arrive to your lockscreen because there are notification channels per app now. I highly recommend looking for those channels (just hold the notification for a few seconds and then tap on "All categories", and then config each option. If for some reason problems are still showing, perform a factory reset via Settings > Advanced settings > Backup and restore.
Hope you find this useful

In theory, you shouldn't lose any data. My recommendation, perform a backup using Google Drive (Settings > Additional settings > Backup and restore, and then choose Google backup, not MIUI's).
As for photos, videos, WhatsApp messages and stuff like that, my recommendation is to backup your WhatsApp chats with Google Drive, then set Flight Mode on and move each folder of the internal storage to a SD card. Only after having done this, remove your SD card and perform the update. It's your best choice so as not to lose any data.
After your phone is back on again, only remains moving back those folders from the SD card to the internal storage. Easy peasy

You guys could download the zip update in the official website and place it in the root folder. Once you restart the phone the update will be detected.

Already done that but no luck. it keeps me ERROR.
Is this update is for everyone or one who got bugs in pie update because i didn't get any update and also there was no bug in my previous pie update
For those who got fail, try update it through recovery. It works for me.
Download the zip file from the official website. Put it in external sd card. Boot to recovery mode and select "Apply update from external storage". Then, choose the zip file.

Yeah. I relocked the bootloader using this method:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/max-pro-m2/how-to/unroot-relock-bootloader-max-pro-m2-t3885870
This will wipe everything and encrypt back your phone.

Android 11 screwed up system gesture navigation in 3rd party launchers (again). I've just returned to 3 button nav bar + edge gestures app. Now I have the best out of both worlds. Quick and easy to use nav bar and also swipe gestures.

Thanks, I had tried setting the stock launcher to check if this was the case to no avail. Evidently I hadn't opened the home screen to let it load. Now have it working with no custom launcher and very slow animations... Hope MIUI can fix this soon.

I find stock animations very slow too (be it "clean" Android or MIUI) - enabling 0.5x speed for all animations in developer settings feels much snappier.
Btw. it's not a fault of MIUI, this time Google is to blame.

Yeah I've since found other complaints of broken gesture navigation with third party launchers on Samsung devices. I guess hopefully it's either patched in upstream Android by Google or Xiaomi patch it within MIUI.
Unfortunately, the MIUI stock launcher and Recents doesn't respect the 0.5% animation speed setting!
I've also found that you can no longer change individual app dark mode settings. The app list is just empty, still respects any that were setup prior to the update though.

I can't comment on stock launcher as I'm on Nova launcher, but recents screen seems to be snappy. I don't use it that often though, so maybe it's with 100% speed.
I can still change individual apps in dark mode - but only when the dark mode is active. It takes about 3 seconds for list of all apps to appear though, on the first sight the feature seems missing/broken.
The two main things I've noticed is the notification led is now bright enough to actually be useful.
And on poco launcher 2 if you keep pressing back to exit from an app or push the home button sometimes you get the apps icon appearing at the top left of the screen for a few seconds for some reason.
But if you switch to system launcher and back again this bug goes away until you restart the device.
