Question how to extract boot image for OOS F.15 update? - OnePlus 9RT

Hi
Can anyone provide me the boot image for OOS F.15 update.
these updates are just problem sometimes. is there an easy method to find or extract the boot image as most of the roms are not not available online.
I have tried using oxygen updater and payload dumper and various other methods but to no avail. I am unable to extract boot.img.

Is there any other method for the same or can anyone provide me with the boot image.

Here it is

Thank you once again.
may i ask how does one go about extracting the boot.img from bin file.

The easiest way is to use fastboot enhance tool for windows. It allows to extract any partititon from Full OTA update (it is usually about 4-6Gb). Note that it doesn't support incremental OTA.

Thank you i am looking forward to using fastboot enhance.
I have used the tool and it works great wonderful windows based simple app.

How to install recovery stock images

hey happy new year guys i searched alot but no luck , i downloaded recovery stock rom 10.0.17.0 from here
https://mirom.ezbox.idv.tw/en/phone/daisy/roms-global-stable/
but when i try to flash it from recovery i get an error what is proper way to install it (knowing that i'm on 10.0.3.0 ) please asap ??
If I'm not mistaken, I think that the link you provided is to a file that will contain a payload.bin, which would also need to be extracted. Maybe try from this link and extract the tgz & tar file to gain access to flash_all.bat/images.
I also had errors trying to flash the image as well but the path to the flash file was long (N:\Android\Xiaomi\Images\daisy_global_images_V10.0.17.0.PDLMIXM_9.0-2). When I simply moved the folder to the N drive it worked beautifully (N:\daisy_global_images_V10.0.17.0.PDLMIXM_9.0-2).
Hope that helps & good luck!

To install that, maybe TWRP can do it?
Else you will need to extract the images from payload.bin (use payload dumper) and flash each image using fastboot.
Probably flash them to the other slot and then change active slot. But you won't need to do that since you're flashing from fastboot.

I followed this using offain's TWRP. Rather than pushing the files with adb, I had them loaded on my sd card. Just follow the guide & you'll be good.

OnePlus 7T stock boot image

Hi there.
I bricked my 7T and I'm now looking for a stock boot image to flash to my phone in order to make it work again. I've looked for it in OnePlus' software update file from their website, but I didn't find it there.
I have the European verison, 10.0.11 HD65BA was my last version. Does anyone have the stock boot image for that version please?
Thanks in advance.

You will need to extract the payload.bin file first.
Than take the payload dumper and get the boot.img.

Question Fastboot Stock Roms

Hey guys, more and more Roms are coming out for our beloved OnePlus 9 pro. I had a 6 and 7tp before and there were stock oos Roms, which you could easily flash via Fastboot and have OOS back.
It's just more convenient to simply have one file instead of flashing all images and so on
It'll be so great if any developer could try to create one, since it shouldn't be so difficult (at least that's what I guess haha)
I created one (11.2.7.7.BA), it should work, but need testers. Ofc, Use it on your own Risk, but we have MSM Tool
Test_EU_11.2.7.7.zip

Extract the Zip and Run "Flasher"

thanks for this bro much appreciated
fastboot -w not correct work
d:\Software_Tools\Multimedia\Handy-Taplet\Handy\Backup\Download\Rom\Payload Dumper 64 bit\payload_output>fastboot -w
Erasing 'userdata' OKAY [ 1.960s]
CreateProcess failed: Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden. (2)
fastboot: error: Cannot generate image for userdata
I owe you a beer Sconny, you brought me back from the brink! I didn't exactly use all of your files, so I'm not sure if I count as a tester, but I was able to use your fastboot commands from Flasher.bat and turn that into a shell script. I ran it not really knowing it was going to work, so I ended up not wiping beforehand but it looks like it turned out fine. Oh and I didn't use your zip, used my own and dumped the payload myself. Thanks again Sconny!

Tested and it worked for me as well other than shows the same userdata wipe error as mentioned. Curious to ask if you could make a flashable zip to include just the latest firmware?

Yes but for flashing custom Roms you only need need some of the images flashed to the other slot prior to flashing the custom ROM zip. The system IMG and vendor IMG and some others are not needed. Comes in handy when moving from one custom ROM to another.

Never mind though as this was inaccurate on my part, vendor img is needed...my bad. This method just lets you flash to latest fw after you're already on a custom rom. So to say if a newer fw came out after you could update to it.
I will take a look on it when I've got more time, sorry guys. I need to test it on myself in order to provide this variant of restoring our devices, but I'm working much as hell atm and family stuff etc. Is more important. But I promise I will try to provide a fully functional package for all versions. System, ODM and Vendor is still buggy, but I have some ideas how to fix it

There should be the same bug with wiping. But I have an idea, I gonna download AA and will upload here. 1 hour needed
Uploading right now.
Here is the AA Version. Wipe Manually, i have to figure out why its not working, for me it does (Maybe cable, usb port?)
I am not a Developer, i'm just doing this for fun and testing when i have time. As always, use at your own risk.
I disabled Verity for the 3 Partitions, maybe that will help. If you guys have some Ideas, please let me know.
Once it is working flawlessly, i will create a thread and update the "tool" for BA/AA/DA Devices.

Can't seem to extract boot.img to patch w/magisk. If you've already done so can you please share it. From SQ1D.211205.017

Open the zip, then open the zip within the zip. There you will find the boot.img you are looking for.

What's keeping you from extracting it? It's inside the inner zip file that's in the full factory image zip file.
If we don't figure out what the issue is, someone would have to extract it for you every time you update. It's easy, I'm sure the problem is just something simple.
Give us your steps that you were unsuccessful with, and let us know if you're using Windows or what.
I have no internal zip. I have a payload.bin.

That's because you downloaded the OTA image, not the full factory one. If you look at the attached image, on the left side of the screen make sure you select "Factory Images" for when you want to install the OS from scratch (which will have all the necessary files; such as vendor, vbmeta, boot.img, etc), or "Full OTA" for when you want to to perform an update when new s/w is pushed by Google.
Go here to download the full factory image to find what you're looking for.
I realize that and have found the boot.img. I am about to patch it now. Thank you very much.
I downloaded the file and was able to extract it with magisk. I fails to open boot.img. I'm using Magisk 23; it represents itself as the latest. Can't find any canary. This is getting frustrating. Where is TWRP when you need it?

For the stock rom it's no longer necessary. You're fine to flash normally without any issue.
To make sure you're doing everything correct, just read this if you haven't already - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-root-pixel-6-pro-with-magisk.4356231/

Extracting Payload.bin
use payload dumper go from https://github.com/ssut/payload-dumper-go
Make a Complete backup for safety
use partition backup restore (root) from https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/tool-root-adb-partition-backup-restore-tool-for-windows.4512231/
Unbrick tool (fastboot):
use fastboot tab, you have to extract payload.bin
Download: https://mega.nz/file/WA4WyQaA#XhfJbtyUU7exNApLl6xOVUiL_kONc0Kd_QM_pGj2Doc
Fastboot Operations:
use fastboot enhance from https://github.com/libxzr/FastbootEnhance
avoid payload.bin flash (there are many hardbrick in op10 pro after flashing payload.bin)
don't flash a file that belong to bootloader in most cases it's a .mbn or .bin file
Hardbrick Solution:
No Free solution, only MSM Auth
Identification of Hard brick:
A hard brick refers to a device that is no longer able to boot up or function properly due to a software malfunction.
Volume up + down + USB = 9008 Port in device manager under COM Port
1. black screen even after pressing keys
2. 9008 device in device manager
3. Qualcomm bulk device in device Manager
Only Black Screen No Bulk or 9008 Device in Device Manager: this the totally dead condition if device stuck on black screen & not show a 9008 Port then you have to short test Point, this is the major issue after flashing a bootlader image from fastboot, flashing boot & system related partition not cause hard brick, so i already mention above don't flash a mbn or bin file from fastboot (these files mostly available in ofp/EDL ROM)
Though the global version will be launched within two weeks, from the title I really thought that this was about the global rom.

How come?
Does someone know how to extract files from system.img (and others)? This seems to be not ext2/4 partition, so can't mount it as older 1+7pro OTAs. Some files (i.e dsp.img) are mountable, but others are not, unfortunately.
UPD: it's EROFS, my system is just too old to mount it automatically.

Actually, I don't think it's a complete OFP package, we can do nothing this moment about converting your system to a GLOBAL version.

so far everything works good. 5G, 4G, wifi works good. Just there is a minor issue with relocking the bootloader the lock screen passcode did not work. So, i keep it unlock
Just bare in mind, this is a temporary solution to bring the phone from coloros to oxygen. After Feb 7 when the international version is available. I still need to redo the firmware flashing. But that time is just like a Oxygen OS upgrade and it will be way easier.

it's a complete EDL ROM from manufacture, if it's not a ofp then i think you will not get ofp for this device because latest version of MSM Download tool support a Pre Extracted File Like the above one
