I can provide some optimizations and modules, but I don't know what you need. Welcome to leave a message.

Please provide all the optimizations and modules you did. That would be great, thanks!

Would you be able to release a module related to temp control? OP limits the temps bad when gaming. Thank you

Does root still make sense? What will it be needed for? I'm not going to install a custom rom.

CPU temperature question (app&mod)

OK I'm working on the cttmod for mm and I'm having trouble getting different temperature readings from the different apps I'm using to test so I have a two part question
1 - Does anyone know of an app that accurately measure the temp ?
2- How can I tell what method or what directory mm stock and stock kernels get there temperature information and an temperature app that will allow me to point it in the same direction.
Right now I've got the mod working but the 5°c+ difference in temperature is a big difference when allowing the CPU's temp to be higher before it throttles and for how long it stays there.
Hey.
You can see all thermal zones here:
/sys/class/thermal/
If I'm not wrong, thermal_zone0 is for the cpu package(not only core0), so you can use this to see the temp.
I'm using cooltool from Google play and custom label with this for path:
/sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp
You can change refresh rate and some other things in the app. You can also watch on what mhz cpu work, so you can see when it throttle
Hope this will help you
P.s.- This is the most accurate temp reading, because you read it directly from the kernel.

Thanks and that just confirmed it. Kernel auditor is the one that's off out the five that I tried only kernel auditor was a consistent 5+ ° c lower than the other four which all stayed without 1 to 2° of each other. That's the reason my mod wasn't working the way I thought it was . Now time to start over
Again thanks I just needed some additional confirmation and that did it

HTC 10 Refresh Rate Subpar

Has anyone else noticed that the HTC 10 is not constantly at 60hz? It's not that it drops frames, but I think software is capping the frame limit or changing the refresh rate constantly. Videos seem 60hz but on the launcher or in apps, it seems to run 48-55hz, and it kind of annoys me that my two year old Xperia Z3V feels much smoother and more premium. Anyone else want to test with testufo.com and see if this happens?

Doesn't bother me tbh. Only time I start to give a damn about frame rate is when I can see noticeable jitter.
I ran the test and it maxed out around 57 and 59.
Tested side by side with Galaxy S7 -> same thing.
58fps~60fps
The lowet value was by S7, with 52fps

The refresh rate situation is further exacerbated when viewing VR content... It's definitely not as smooth as even the SGS5. Any workarounds to get the refresh rate up??

Unless you go custom, you can't fix this because it's an overly aggressive powersaving thing from Htc.
If you're unlocked, then you can flash something to disable it and then your phone stays at 58FPS.

Tried that also. Didn't work.
Beginning to think it is a combination of the powersaving function PLUS LCD's refresh rate.
Ho hum, pretty bumped considering the power of the 10 under the hood :/
It will definitely make a killer VR device.
How did you get the graphical Back/Home/Recents navigation buttons on the bottom of the HTC 10? I don't see this as an option anywhere.

What exactly is the overly aggressive powersaving thing from Htc?

My Viper10 rom has that option, but I think this is some AOSP based rom.

Any way to get 1080p 60fps recording on custom ROMs?

I've seen it's a trend not to have 1080p 60fps on Pie roms, is there any way, magisk module, setting or any ported camera to do so?
Also could someone help me understand why is this happening? Since oneplus it's a dev-friendly company releasing sources and on top of that our device has native Pie support I don't understand why we don't get 1080p60fps in custom as well, thanks everyone in advance
We do have 1080p 60fps recording on our devices. Even on Gcam ports.

Have you tried using OOS camera or GCam on these Custom ROMS? Also, there's a toggle to enable 60fps on 1080p video mode (on top, usually)

Yeah, of course I have tried, I did some research and found out that I'm not the first one pointing this out, there's this thread and also this reddit post which talks about some OOS camera libs in the comments but I haven't been able to find those anywhere.
I later asked on the Telegram group for Havoc (ROM i'm using right now) and, the guy didn't think twice to tell me that the only option was stock

So, idk what kind of magic do you do with your phone to have 60fps in custom Pie but please, share it with us
I'm on the latest Havoc Pie ROM, using Urmyx Gcam 7.0 mod, and the 1080p 60fps is working just fine.

Hello? Could you please?
Yeah only on stock. All the 60fps options aren't real 60fps. They like 30. Gcam with our device is a massive hack. Back on some pie/android 8 ROMs with some hacks. I was using oos cam with 60fps. But that was many moons ago and haven't seen anything since

Question Which is the best camera app for Poco F3 without root? (Gcam-Opencam etc.)

Hello, how can someone who uses their device without root to optimize the camera performance? Can you give a link? Which is the best version of Opencam or GCAM? What settings should I do that does not want root?
My favourite is just Stock MIUI Camera. I like to use Pro-Mode with -1 Contrast & Sharpness and Picture Quality Low and 4k30fps.
I also like Panorama & Longtime Exposure

Themes / Apps / Mods [MAGISK] Enable Google Location history, Nearby share and MEMC for Genshin

I created a Magisk module to enables Google Location history and Nearby share on the Chinese version of ColorOS.
This also enables "游戏插帧" MEMC frame insertion (120fps) on global version of Genshin Impact and YouTube (add them as a game in Game center app).
To enable MEMC, you have to enable "游戏插帧" in game menu.
Download magisk-module-oplus-cn2global.zip, install this module from the Modules tab of the Magisk app and restart.

This module should work on every ColorOS / realme UI devices, but MEMC won't work on Global ROM.
Tried both v06 and v05, both failed to install. Edit: Sorry I'm on OxygenOS Global A07.

Did you enable "游戏插帧" in game menu?
You have to enable it after you open YouTube and video isn't playing.
This module allows you to activate 120 FPS in Genshan Impact?

Not a native 120FPS but MEMC 120fps (insert simulated frame to 60fps so 60fps x 2 = 120fps).
You can feel that it's moving lukewarmly when there is scrolling or pan/tilt movement.
