G710TM30b rooting help - LG G7 ThinQ Questions & Answers

Hi, I'm trying to root my LG G7 ThinQ G710TM30b device. I was able to reboot the phone into the bootloader but fastboot doesn't detect the device. I've tried a couple of things including downloading the LG USB driver for the debug bridge but the didn't resolve my issue. I also tried removing the USB-C cord from the device and plugging it back in in case fastboot had a read issue on sensing the device but no luck sadly. I'm trying to find a solution to be able to root the LG G7 because I heard it was possible to do so. I have done a little bit of research and saw that the G710TM models are not supported for rooting so I need some desperate help in knowing if doing this on my specific model is possible and if so please feel free to drop some help and help guide me through this process.

yes my friend
I can do?
JTAG or Gold card will help you!!!
Or you could just, you know, read the HSPL/RSPL thread. The one that's stickied at the top of the forum. The one with big red text telling you not to do what you did. The one with a link to the thread that's already discussing what to do if you ignore the big red text.
Alternatively, go ahead and create a new thread, spamming the forum and wasting the time of everybody, yourself included.

Thanks friend, but I need solutions not criticism
You need to create a gold card with the correct rom for your device and put it into usb host mode.
you should have READ IT CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU INSTALL th RSPL/HSPL.

[Q] issue with verizon lg g3 custom roms

Hi xda ! I'm hoping someone can help me ! I have a Verizon LG g3 I was messing with custom rooms and I flashed cm11 I believe and decided I didn't like,it ( I know weird) but I flashed back the the Rom I liked prior and realized my phone didn't recognize the SIM anymore. So I tried different rooms and have come to the conclusion it won't read Sims anymore. I want to uproot and go to complete stock, I have tried the different ways online and I can't find how to change port settings. If someone could assist me in either flashing back or any ideas on why it won't recognize Sims because I want to fix it that would be great! Please email me at [email protected] as I don't get on here to check often thanks

Have you tried turning off your phone > pulling your battery out > pull out your SD card and SIM > Clean them up nicely, blow a few times in the SIM/SD card hole on your phone > re-insert > Boot up your phone.
Also, this should be in the Q&A section. You've been a member on here for over a year but only have two posts, so I guess you don't frequent the forums very often. Please use the exclamation mark to report your thread so the mods can move the thread.

Followed directions EXACTLY, even reinstalling drivers I thought I knew I had... Pay attention to step 9 and 12. Repeat if necessary! And get the latest LG G3 drivers even if your phone is detected with what you have.
I just basically flashed stock C rom, then used stump root, to gain root. I know that is not always an option, but it worked for me.
Hello, have you any update to this? I have the KVT49L.D85110r version which says patched as well. I cannot find any solution to rooting this manually as you suggested.

Thanks! Actually the moment I logged in to make the comment the post showed up, spent a few hours several tries and finally got it all sorted! That fine print is what I had initially misread, do not do the perma root, you only need to do the temp root!

Anyone know what the three dots key will do on the keyboard? Because my language requires AltGr on the right - which seems to be missing. Without it it's impossible to write quickly on a keyboard.

It seems like you'll be able to type most of the missing symbols by combining the Hotkey/3-dot-key/(...) and other keys in the general vicinity. For example, Esc is Hotkey+1.
The Pixel support page linked above should have all the keyboard shortcuts.
I'm on N and whenever I connect my Pixel C to my MacBook Pro using iorange cable it reboots directly and continue rebooting until I unplug the USB cable!
Disabled USB debugging from Developer Option and it is OK!
I don't know the problem exactly and I am stuck on N and I can't flash the factory image without enabling USB debugging
Any ideas?

I've had been using CFW's since Cyanogen..and Lineage after and never got any problems (just a few bugs, but nothing annoying).
I installed the Lineage OS 14.1 ( last build) in my Moto G 2014 and absolutely love it, but I'm face a really annoying problem that is the High Battery Drain.
Tried:
Reinstalling CFW
Wipe Cache/ Dalvik (TWRP)
Reset app preferences
Wlan/Bluetooth auto search
Update apps
Unistall/disable apps
Using battery monitor
GREENIFY
Almost everything
Unfortunately I don't know how to proceed or what I can do.
I'd love some help, cuz I really don't want to go back to Official Marshmallow.
Thanks!!
