PX6 Android 10 head unit Radio stops working. - MTCD Android Head Units General

Hello, i have a huge problem with my android head unit which i bought from Ali.
Everything works fine except radio. fm and am.
More specifically when i turn the ignition on, radio works fine and after 1-2 minutes it stops like it has no frequency at all. When i try to search for the next radio station it does nothing. All other functions work perfectly (Bluetooth, usb, YouTube etc.) . Now, in order for the radio to work again, i have to turn of the engine, wait at keat 5 minutes and then turn again the engine on. The radio then works again for 1 -2 minutes and is does the same thing all over.
I have already tried factory reset but that doesn't work.

hello all sorry that picture and my car stereo after android 10 update
the volume while listening to the music has become lower i.e. you start hearing at 25 instead before you started hearing at 11 does anyone know how I can fix it thanks

If it's a software problem, you can easily find out with NavRadia+, Basic is enough for the test:
NavRadio – Aplikace pro Android na Google Play
Vychutnejte si miliony nejnovějších aplikací pro Android, her, hudby, filmů, televizních pořadů, knih, časopisů a dalšího obsahu. Kdykoli, kdekoli a v jakémkoli zařízení.
play.google.com
Some radio settings are in factory settings (password126). In the Radio tab, set your region. In the Other tab at Auto search stop - DX - 20 db, try another value.
You have to detect the hardware problem yourself, it can be bad wiring, bad grounding, faulty radio chip, fault on the motherboard, the device is interfering with the alternator, led lights, some additional equipment, antenna....
Give it to an expert who will measure everything, but it is difficult to find someone for these devices.

Bluetooth headphones not connecting to phone?

I dont know whats been up w/ my tilt 2, but i just received a new phone today (sent the last one in for RMA because i thought it was defective) but this phone is doing the same exact thing. When in initially go to setup my phone (using the NRG ROM) the bluetooth headset connects, but only to Hands Free. But for some reason i cannot get it to connect to Stereo Audio. I've tried it with two of my Sony Headsets and it just wont work. Every time i try it just says "Connection Failed" with Stereo Audio, but Hands-Free connects just fine. I dont think its the headsets, as they connect just fine to my fuze (touch pro) and my original tilt (tytn ii). Does anyone have ANY idea what could be causing this? I really need to get this fixed by this coming Monday
i'm not sure if this is because of the widcomm vs ms bt stack issues that some people have been talking about. but here's a pic of what my phone shows when attempting to connect

Exactly the same issue I have with my Jensen and my NoName headphones, Both require manual intervention each time but the 'headset' connects fine. So have you replaced the stack with the MS one? Are you on a custom ROM?

no i haven't replaced it...i'm hoping someone will come up w/ a method allowing us to replace the widcomm w/ the ms stack. you're able to manually connect it? i can't even do that
This is very similar to the problem I outlined here. At first I thought it was related to the set of headphones that I was using, then I thought it might be related to Wm 6.5 and my AT&T Tilt 2, but now it appears that it's probably something that HTC has tweaked...?
Just recently I tried to pair my headphones with my friends T-Mobile Touch Pro2 Wm 6.1 and I got the very same connection issue as illustrated in the screen shot above. I've been without the use of my headphones for a month now. I sure hope somebody can help us solve this issue.

Reset head unit; now radio does not work.

Short story is that Pumpkin had me reset the system to stock. This caused me to not have radio at all (no static, never finding a station) and the physical "back" button does not work.
To my knowledge, I have messed around with all the settings possible (126 code, changed among 7 radio types on both American bands).
I installed Malaysk's latest ROM thinking that might fix it all, but it did not.
Does anyone know the correct settings or have any idea on what I can do to get things to work again?
Thanks
Looks like you updated with the wrong MCU image. If you have written down the original MCU code you can download a MCU image from this forum and restore your radio.
Oh, let's just pretend that I never wrote anything down. Where can I get info for the correct one?

Well, then, you're in a bit of a trouble. I would have said to contact your vendor but since they sent you the wrong files in the first place there's no guarantee you'll get the correct ones this time. It may be better to contact the vendor nevertheless and request a replacement unit since their software update caused the HU malfunction.
Actually, I stumbled on the solution this morning (I just hadn't had time to post yet).
I thought I was making alterations, but the stereo needed to be reset each time in order to actually apply the changes. After 15 permutations, I stumbled on the correct ones and now I have radio and correct buttons.
Pumpkin C0257.
Radio app not working!
Just a quick flash of the screen and does not start.
If I assign 'Mode' to a steering wheel button, I can hear the radio.
No screen nothing, just sound.
I've tried every setting I can think of.

increase wake on time with car engine switched off

Sorry for the poor question, but i'm very newbie of Android Car system and I need your help about this...
I have installed on my Opel Astra J a MTCC RK3188 unit with stock android 5.1.1
I'd like to listen to my music even when the car engine is turned off, but the unit shuts off after about 1 minute, even if I leave the key in the ignition in off position.
In the configuration option there is ACC DELAY time, but this is the time that elapses between the status of the car is turned off (ACC OFF) and the complete shutdown of radio, up to that time the radio goes into deep sleep, in fact if I restart the car the radio switches on at once without doing the startup complete procedure .
I think that this value does not change in any way the time that elapses between the car engine off and the time which the radio can stay up without going into deep sleep.
There a way to change and increase this time, for example to 10 minutes?
How to change and extend this time?
It could be that the mod ROM's gives me more time?
Thanks
You can increase it. It is in the settings.
How can I do this?
In settings I find only the sleep time before completely shutdown, but no option to having the radio on after turning off the engine...
I thought you wanted to tweak the time between sleep and shut down. Seems like you found that one already.
Maybe your car cuts the acc line to the stereo after certain amount of time?
I think the canbus of the car send a signal when I turn the key in off position.
I also think that the radio has powered, because when after about 2 minutes turns off, I can see the "shutdown" toast before it going into sleep (It does the same type of poweroff procedure that it would do if I open a car door when key ignition is switched off).
If the radio was no more supply from the car, I think it would go off without giving any notice.
For these reasons, I was wondering if somehow I could configure this time.

Canbus Management

I'm new to android radio, having looked but not touched for a long time.
I have a 2015 Jetta and for my birthday my family got me a Burger Motorsports JB4 (Piggyback tuner), and an XTRONS radio (PX5 8 core 4GB unit.)
The JB4 unit uses the CANBUS to keep track of engine parameters while it modifies signals between the engine and ECU to control boost, fuel pressure, and timing. Officially BMS says it won't work if you have other devices connected to the CANBUS and say it is due to bandwidth issues. If the JB4 detects that it isn't getting enough information across the CANBUS it defaults down to a safer tune.
I've discovered that as long as the radio boots after the JB4 they seem to play nicely together, for the most part. But this means the XTRONS software loses lots of settings every time I start the car.
I'm looking for a way to control what and how much the Radio uses the CANBUS for, I think if I could limit it to steering wheel controls and reverse camera I would be happy, or even just delay the CANBUS connection in the car for 30 seconds. The other path would be to flash a ROM that keeps all its settings when it is rebooted but I haven't seen that issue addressed in the HAL9000 or Malaysk threads.
Is there a way to modify what the CANBUS module is looking for? Would other ROMS tolerate being rebooted better?
Hi Profsnakes,
I am currently working on modification of some images in canbus.apk file
I am not sure you can get more from your car by just modifying the software, it depends mainly on the canbus adapter you are using
Have a nice day

Thanks for the reply. Unfortunately, I don't know or understand much about the development side of this stuff. I've worked as an electrical technician for years and have a good understanding of how a Canbus works but not the programming or design side of the stuff attaching to it.
Rather than getting more out of it, I was hoping actually to be able to limit how much it used the network somehow. Even just reducing how often it polls the network. The other device I have attached requires a constant data stream from the ECU.
At this point, I have narrowed the problem down. While it would still be good to limit the bandwidth used by the radio. It seems the error I was having was being caused by the USB connection between the radio and the tuner when the car was starting up. So far disconnecting the USB when the car is off and reconnecting after it turns on seems to keep it stable. I ordered a USB "KVM" style switch that I'm hoping will keep me from having to open the glovebox all the time.
Heres what I've got going.

General Verizon 6 pro and Android 12

First off, I Love the phone. Hardware is great, Android 12 is mostly great but there are some weird things I've noticed that haven't really been an issue on previous phones pre-Android 12. I got rid of a OnePlus 8 pro for the Pixel 6 pro.
1: I have to use a Bluetooth to 3.5mm adapter (Bluetooth to auxillary input) on my car to Bluetooth to my stereo. Issue is, the adapter is ALWAYS on and when in range my phone is ALWAYS connected to that adapter. Android 12 gives you the option to quickly switch when you're playing music or watching a YouTube video in the volume slider menu but not say when you're playing a Facebook video, Instagram video or similar. The workaround has been to just completely disconnect Bluetooth which interferes with other devices like my Fitbit and such.

2: AOD doesn't come on when it's dark out. I usually get up at around 4am, and of course it's dark in my room. When it's pretty dark, not even pitch black AOD doesn't turn on. It's almost like the phone lacks a proximity sensor and relies souly on a light sensor for AOD. Another scenario was I was out with my family trick or treating tonight, in the suburbs where there was plenty of light and AOD still didn't come on when I pulled out the phone to check the time. Of course this isn't a huge issue, just an inconvenience
3: the lack of ability to set your own lock screen shortcuts. I don't use Google pay, nor do I control devices using the Google home app or shortcut.. it would be nice to set those to whatever I want. To add into that, I do have those both disabled but occasionally the Google home shortcut appears when I click the power button to turn the phone on. If I click it of and back on about 80% of the time it disappears.
I don't want anyone to take these as complaining, just thought maybe I'd chime in on some "issues" I've noticed.
