Battery problem after factory reset on Redmi Note 8 - Redmi Note 8 Questions & Answers

Hi guys
I have a Redmi Note 8 Miui 12.0.2 Indonesia and when i was on Miui 11.0.3 Indonesia I did a factory reset a few months ago and right after the factory reset the battery consumption has increased and before the factory reset the battery had no problems, I changed the ROM twice, once global and once Miui 11.0.3 Indonesia, but it didn't work, someone told me to install miui 12.0.2 and the phone updater had given the update and I updated it and the problem was not solved again. My screen time from 100% to 20% is just 3 and half hours. I don`t know what to do. Once again my battery had no any problems before the factory reset. I don`t know how is this possible to factory reset couse of battery problem. please give me a solution.

Change your battery.

This happened exactly after the factory reset, if the battery had problem, it would have shown itself before the factory reset too. Someone who have RN8 and had battery problem like me and he installed custom rom and problem not solved, he changed his battery but again his problem not solved. somebody have RN8 Pro and he changed his battery too and his screen time was like me.

I have global version. I had some trouble with battery drain (new battery) under miui 12.5 and crdroid 8.10. I tried to roll back to miui 12.0.6 (android 10) and sadly bricked it, so I had to reflash using edl (guide is available on the forum). It took long time but I got it working again with miui 12.0.6 with a much better battery life.
So be prepared before you downgrade, download all the tools and full rom (fastboot) before proceeding.

Bugs Xiaomi.eu Miui 12 Android 11 version on global version of redmi note 9s

I strongly advice anybody to not update their redmi note 9s Curtana to the latest Xiaomi.EU version of Miui 12 based on Android 11.
I had several, quite nerve wrenching bugs even though I clean flashed.
-telephone: I could not be heard and the other side could not be heard on the phone. I guess this had something to do with root with magisk as I tried out my phone after flashing the update and it worked, but after having set up the phone with all apps and root, the said problem arose
- picture in picture mode got extremely buggy and the overlay sometimes hid the video box and made the whole screen unresponsive
- the phone feels quite slow
I downgraded to the last Miui 12 version based on Android 10 and all is fine again.
As I said if these things above are things you'd need often on your phone I'd suggest you not to update.
My phone is joyeuse global rn9pro and Im in the same boat.
How exactly did you downgrade without loss of data?

Redmi note 8 android 11 firmware?

Hello everyone
Sorry for my bad english.
i am noob when it comes to flashing firmware.. i am using havoc os android 10 for a very long time. i wanted to switch to android 11 arrow os but yesterday i tried everything.. but my note 8 was bootlooping or freezing while booting whenever i flash arrow os 11. i wasn't sure at the time that what is happening so i flashed havoc again. now when i read the post of arrow os it was saying i need to flash android 10 or 11 firmware(for better experience) in order to use arrow os 11. now when i flashed havoc i was using stock android 9. could it be the reason that i am not able to boot into arrow 11? also i searched for android 11 firmware for redmi note 8.. but i am kind of confused on that one because i was able to find only note 8 china firmware which are android 11.. rest are android 10 i don't know if it is necessary to flash global firmware or if i will be ok flashing china one. i wanted to flash android 11 firmware so i will not get stuck again with these kind of issues. but if there is no option i am okay with android 10 firmware. so in short my questions are..
Can anyone provide me a link for redmi note 8 android 11 firmware?
is it my problem that i don't have the latest firmware?
also can i flash firmware with my custom recovery or do i need to use some other software in fastboot mode?
any kind of help will be appreciated. Thanks

your problem sounds more like data partition incompatibility
use CLEAN flash first (format data, not wipe) follow this tutorial
if it dosn't work, then start playing with FW
FW links
RN8 : https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/ginkgo/
RN8 T : https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/willow/
you can flash any region fw, (flash with recovery as normal zip)
just don't make mistake flashing ginkgo FW on willow or willow FW on ginkgo
you will break the phone !

Use MiFlash tool because it has a safety measure to prevent ARB to be triggered (it gives a flash error and prevents to flash).

Then do what @Alin45 said above. Let MiFlash handle ARB.
If MiFlash let you flash the MIUI version you want, then ARB is not triggered.
If MiFlash did not let you flash the MIUI version you want, then don't flash that rom in anyway.

Unable to update MI 10T Pro to android 11 (12.1.X - 12.5.X)

Hi,
I received yesterday a new Mi 10T Pro and tried to update to newest MIUI. I'm on 12.0.19 MIUI and system doesn't see any update. I tried to install via zip file (3 dots etc.) but every file i download (starting from 12.1 an ending to 12.5.7) ends with package verification: "You cannot flash this stable firmware".
Like I said - phone is new, EEA. I tried lot of files, option with VPN, change Regions.
Can you help? I don't want to send for guarantee cause problem with update...
I sended for guarantee and they updated phone to the newest MIUI (but I don't know details where was a problem and how they solved it). On Monday phone should return to me and I will check with next updates if it helps. I hope there will be no problems with update to MIUI 13 when it comes.
Hey bro, same is happening to me with Mi 10T normal version, is stuck with miui 12.0.11 and i cant flash stable roms or get any ota i don't think is a unit problem, if you have more details that could help me it will be appreciated.

Apparently Xiaomi stopped the OTA from A10 to A11. You'll need to unlock the bootloader and update the rom, then relock it if you want.
