Question External usbc microphone - Red Magic 8 pro

How to use external usbc microphone?
It is not working inside default Camera app in video mode.
Inside Google Camera I see swither between internal and external microphones, but still it is not working, external microphone is not listen
The hardware is fine, I have installed some wavrecorder app from Play store, and it uses usbc microphone very well, even with none prompt.
Is there any internal Settings to fix this issue? OR do I need any special app which will link usbc microphone with Camera app?

USB External Microphone

I bought a Samson Meteor microphone to record some class lectures. I used SGSII 4-IN-1 connection kit to hook it up. I was able to record with it but the quality was quite low but on my Ubuntu box using Audacity it sounded great. Does anyone know if there is some way to connect an external mic and get good sound? The native voice recorder app on the S3 used the usb mic without a hitch. I installed another app that lets you select a mic but it only recognizes the built ins. Has anyone else tried the external mic thing?

Record video with external mic

So the google camera app defaults to using the terrible device mic when recording video, even with plugged in headphones with a mic.
I've tried several 3rd party apps but they don't seem to work well with the sensor, the image is flipped and autofocus has some issues.
Any way I could trick or reroute audio with tasker or something similar when headphones are plugged in?

Change microphone input manually

Hello, I have a quick question to ask. I want to record video using an external microphone for audio, but upon plugging into the TRRS (headphone) jack, the camera app does not detect an external microphone is being used. Is there a system file I can edit or an application I can use to make the default microphone my external microphone?
I am looking for the same functionality. I want to use an external Bluetooth microphone as input.

Using Microphone External for video recording?

I've used a mic splitter, and tried using software to record from an external mic, but the sound still comes from the internal mic, is it because capricorn does not support external mic, or software problem?

External sound card input not working with USB OTG

Hello XDA,
I have a Moto G5S and a CSL sound card (7.1 output and 2 mic input). I'm connecting the sound card to the phone with a USB OTG 2.0 cable.
When connected, the sound card starts up and I can control the audio volume from the keys on the soundcard. Also, the audio output is automatically redirected to the sound card, so I can listen to audio output from the "line out" of the sound card.
However, I cannot get the input mic lines to work. I tried various apps such as n-Track 9, WaveEditor, USB Audio Recorder, and so on and no one of them is able to record from the sound card.
In Linux, the sound card works out of the box.
Do you have any suggestion to get the input mic from the sound card?
I think it strange that it even work ?
I think you need additional drivers into kernel. But probably it will be unavailable in our kernel, or you have to port it itself for montana kernel, to fully support possibilities of your external sound card.
Additionaly, if u want a help in that kind of trouble, please include logs, extact device model (best will be device id from linux) and if possible, check first on stock rom or other device. If it does not work there, its provably unfixable problem.
Thanks in advance, good night.
This seems like a very overkill setup
