Question How to Downgrade Android 13 to A12 or A11 - Samsung Galaxy A22 4G

Hello there, I'm a new user on Samsung device. I went to install custom rom on my device. There is no rom for this SM-A225F model, So I went to downgrade. I don't know if this is possible or not, I just asked to know. And developers do not get its source code? So that we can't use custom rom on this phone too, I am eager for custom rom. Thank you all.

If your bootloader is unlocked, you can use Odin to downgrade...unless the bootloader has an anti-rollback.

Yes, I unlocked bootloader but I didn't do it with odin software. I have done this with another device and Bugjaeger apk, which is more simple from odin software.

You can't flash firmware with an APK. You must use Odin or Heimdall.

You need the original fw on an SD card and the stock bootloader. Boot into recovery and install the fw. There are several threads in the forum discussing the details.

Yes, it doesn't matter whether the BL is locked or unlocked, or whether your current fw is rooted or not.
I downloaded stock rom and copied to dload/update.app but all it gives me Error in recovery. Is there a way to flash stock software to this phone using a windows tool ? This is one of the most inconvient phones to flash.

How do I Upgrade My Modem from PD1 to PF3?

I haven't done anything to my phone since I Unlocked my Bootloader, Upgraded to MM and Unlocked again, then installing PaulPizz from July (it's an outdated version, I know).
The thread I used to put on MM, put on the PD1 modem. I need to upgrade to PF3. I don't see a thread on how to do it Can someone explain to me how that works? Do I need to re-flash the full firmware and re-unlock or just the modem file? Please provide detailed instructions. Thanks.
Just download the partial update from here and flash via ODIN.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=67481370&postcount=1403
Note you are flashing a kernel as well so you may have to reflash whichever kernel you prefer.
BTW I'm still running Jasmine 6.0

Is a FDR required when flashing this file? Will I need to re-unlock?

If you're presently on a unlocked and rooted rom this will not lock the boot loader or require reroot.

Yes, this does not touch the boot loader as I understand.

I'm going to need better instructions.
I downloaded N910VVRU2CPF3_PartialFirmware_PatechedKernel.tar.md5.7z
Extracted it via 7zip
Booted into Download Mode
Connected my cable to my computer
Started Odin
Clicked AP, loaded N910VVRU2CPF3_PartialFirmware_PatechedKernel.tar.md5
Clicked START
It Failed.
Can you help me?
EDIT: OK, this is odd. It failed the first time and went through the second time. It worked. Thank you, @freduser .
No problem
Aren't pd1 and pf3 the same thing?

Flashing lineage os with locked bootloader

Personally, I hardbricked the phone even with doing proper guide... Sending it back since still wararnty..
If anyone else have different result perhaps can help?
Right now I'm using LineageOS with locked bootloader. I think if you want to use with locked bootloader, don't flash the firmware provided by nijel8.
thanks for the replies but already unlock bootloader and flash lineage os best rom so far

If you are not the MIUI fan, then Lineage by nijel8 is the best option to go. I am on locked BL, and so far is OK!

Question Is no PC required flashing possible?

Is there away to unlock the bootloader, flash TWRP recovery and flash custom ROMs without needing a PC on this device?

I don't think there is. For starter, you'll need the official Xiaomi program to unlock bootloader.

If you have a carrier locked US model there is nothing you can flash in ODIN to unlock the bootloader, as odin packages dont touch the firmware. Best you can do is hope an exploit gets found or return the phone.

Might I ask how you managed to flash a different firmware version? What method did you use to flash the A546U1 firmware?
I ask because from what I understand, the A546U version does not have the option to unlock the bootloader and in order to flash anything at all (including another stock firmware), you must first unlock the bootloader.

You can flash any stock firmware without unlocking the bootloader as long as it's official firmware

And what is the process for doing this?
Flashing another stock firmware, that is?
My objective is to flash an official European version so I can go into dev settings, unlock bootloader, the proceed to flash a custom ROM.

Do you know the reason behind this?
Because my understanding is that having a locked bootloader is the only thing preventing me from flashing a ROM on my US version (A546U).
What else is preventing me from flashing a stock official firmware on my A656U using the method you're referring to.

Well that's unfortunate. I wonder how the person who made this thread managed to flash the A546U1 firmware on a phone that was originally A546U.

Odin does allow that for some reason since they're both U.S. firmware
