Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 Issue - Google Pixel XL Questions & Answers

Hello,
My device randomly shut down the other day and won't come back to life at all.
It doesn't go into fastboot or recovery mode, it just shows up in windows as Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. From what I understand, this means the phone is in "EDL Mode"?
I have tried:
- Letting the battery completely drain and attempt to turn it on
- Using the recovery tools Google provides
- Using android platform tools to trigger fastboot/recovery
Nothing seems to be working at the moment. I am a bit noob-ish, so maybe there's a troubleshooting step I missed?
I'd like to get this device recovered. Has anyone run into this issue and solved it? Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Unfortunately there is no way to recover the device, as the software and files required are not publicly available. You could have it repaired but they will just replace the main board.

Hard-bricked my Nexus 5X. How to fix it?

While flashing a new image on my 32 GB Nexus 5X yesterday, I flashed the wrong bootloader and hard-bricked my phone. It won't respond to key combos I've tried and won't even load in a Download Mode. I stumbled upon this guide and was managed to have my Windows PC detect it as a"Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" device under "Ports" in Device Manager. I don't know how to proceed further because the guide assumes a phone can be loaded into Download Mode and mine can't so it is undetectable in LGUpdate tool.
Could anyone help me with this? Thank you.

HELP: help me fix my HARD BRICKED device

Dear friends
I have a Wileyfox Swift phone bricked after trying to fastboot flash another OS.
Unfortunately It's completely dead now: It doesn't turn on, Its doesn't blink or shows no sign of connecting or recharging... In fact it is the pure meaning of a hard bricked phone
I tried many procedure and none of them worked. The phone is recognized by PC and is shown as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008" in Device Manager (I installed driver).
It would be appreciated soooo much if you could help me with this situation... Please...

Hard Brick - Quectel QDloader 9008 COM4 Mode, Help needed

Hi All,
Is there any way to recover the phone from the Quectel QDloader 9008 COM mode ? Screen not coming up, no adb or fastboot mode, the only think I see in the Windows Device Manger is that the phone is connected as COM Port.
Thx for any advice.
Have the same issue - were you able to figure out how to fix it?
The only way to fix it would be to have a copy of the ROM that can be flashed in EDL mode, which is the mode your device is in. Google doesn't make EDL-flashable copies of its ROMs available - not a surprise - since that mode is mainly for tech support personnel. I'm afraid your only recourse is to contact Google and see what they can do for you.

No idea, not mine got it from a friend to try to fix. I think the memory is grilled. On the other hand there are so many complains regarding the quality of Pixel phones, I would not want one even as a gift
try it !

Brick black screen Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM20). I need help please
Please, I need a lot of help. I will give you all the details I can.
I have always used the following ROM:
G891AUCS2API2_CL8737252_QB10881022_REV02_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT
I have never had problems with this ROM. I wanted to try the AT & T ROM pirmera (it's an official ROM) and I installed it with modified Odin3 3.12. I have always used this Odin without problem. The ROM that has generated the problem is this:
SM-G891A_G891AUCU1APG7_ATT_Full_Repair_Frimware
I installed it with the same options as ROM REV02, so the problem is not Odin's. I think the problem is having downloaded Android version.
When I installed the ATT_Full_Repair_Frimware ROM, Odin said there was success. However, the phone did not turn on.
I tried to charge the phone, without success. Neither does any combination of buttons work.
When I connected the mobile to the computer, a driver was installed:
Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM20)
I also think that I read something from QFIL.
This is the only thing I have achieved. Odin does not work in this mode. I'm finding some weird Internet programs:
qpst.win_.2.7_installer_00472.4
Qualcomm Premium Tool V2.4 cracked + WORKING KEYGEN
This is a very difficult case for me and the people in my group of computer friends do not have the ability to solve this problem either. Only XDA can help me.
@NotSoMiniGun, please.

How to successfully get qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 driver to work?

I am trying to use the EDL methods that require qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008 drivers.
I had 0 luck so far to get the device show up as qualcomm hs-usb qdloader 9008.
I tried several versions of the driver install package I could find, tinkered with LG, xiaomi and others.
My device is Windows x64, 1903.
It's an UEFI device, so secure boot is enabled
Some instructions require you to disable driver signing - which doesn't work with secure boot, I disabled it...
I disabled driver signing...
I installed the certificate...
still nothing.
When booting the device shows up under "Universal Serial Bus devices" as "QUSB_BULK"... when trying to update the drivers, I get "The best drivers for your device are already installed" - Care Suite Emergency Connectivity, which is a Microsoft driver. Uninstalling that one also results in nothing really.
Are there no qdloader drivers for a current OS? Which steps do you take to get the driver working?
My phones do not even seem show up when in EDL mode a this point.
Any help is appreciated.
My first "thing" is to do is to reflash the Alcatel Idol 4s open market properly as the WDRT tool only would allow the T-Mobile firmware to be flashed.
What I eventually would want is a European language supporting firmware with a US based modem/cellular configuration.
My first step is however to be able to flash things at all.
Any guidance is appreciated.
unstall all nokia/microsoft software, driver on pc and install qcom driver again
