Hello boys. I'm thinking in installing one of the roms recently posted in this forum for mi Redmi Note 12 4G, but i'm not sure the exact steps. I know i have to unlock de bootloader and then install the rom, but i like to have a guide for all this. The phone is relatively new and not want to void de warranty for a possible brick.

After if you install a rom other than stock the warranty is void.
Your warranty would be void nonetheless if you brick or not. However there are several guide for the steps on different XDA forums. Here's some of the link.

You can find various tutorial video for 'How to unlock Xiaomi devices', 'How to ROOT', 'How to flash custom ROM' etc on Youtube. And all the steps are same for every devices (except unlocking boot loader). I hope it helps.

I wonder if someone can give me a definitive answer, I've read posts saying that if you want to use another vendors ROM then you have to unlock first as in the old days but I have also read that the following ROM installs straight off without unlocking.
I have downloaded the following from HTC SEA site: RUU_Artemis_DOPODASIA_WWE_3.7.707.1_4.1.13.30_02.69.90_Ship.exe and would like to install it without bricking my phone! As it is a legit ROM I'm happy to give it a go but I thought I'd check here first.

You still have to unlock using USPL.
The only ROM's you can flash without unlocking would be UK T-Mobile ones, because they will match your CID lock.

Hi guys this is my first Android device after a few years with an iPhone, now have a N7105.
This device is carrier branded in terms of software with what I assume is a custom ROM from the Telco?
Can I flash the phone to the latest stock ROM, an international version? From what I've read the latest Hong Kong ROM would be fine.
Needs to work in Australia on Telstra's 4G network.
Does anybody have a seriously easy to follow guide for this process?
And finally does this process void my warranty? Anyway to avoid that?

First of all, congratulations on your first Android device and a warm welcome into our community. I'm sure you might be sick and tired of the same boring interface offered by all iGadgets and that jailbreaking and carrier locking stuff.
I must assure you that Android might be a teeny-meeny difficult to use for a first time migrator but once you're enlightened with all the processes and jargons, you would surely regret the every penny you spent to own your iPhone.

For all the latest stock ROMs head over to: www.sammobile.com/firmware/ Find your model, select the region you want and download the ROM. You can use their guide on how to flash/install stock ROMs, proovided on their website.

Flashing stock ROMs doesn't voids your warranty only custom ROMs but you can always revert back to stock ROM making your warranty intact again. But all this could increase your flashing counter which can be resetted using scripts which is currently not available for N7105.
Last but not the least, you can always Google your queries and never call yourself noob in our community.

When you decide to do something to your phone based on certain thread (root, custom rom, custom kernel, mod nd theme), read the OP and full thread carefully. Only proceed once u know what to do.

When u face problems with ur device, don't panic... evrything will have a solutions. Even the worst case, we still have samsung service center. ^_^

Last thing, our note 2 is the best samsung device. Which actually with stock rom nd kernel + root, u will have the best experienced alrd.

I tried to find ROMs available for Asus ZenFone2 ZE551ML. I think the use of one section for the entire "sub-brand" makes searching a lot messy, at least to me.
Unlocking: Is this ZE55xML_Modder appropiate to unlock? Is it possible to relock without any way to check it got modified?
Relocking: Is this official raw suitable for relocking?
CPU: Intel Atom Z3580 at 2.3GHz. What's about those ZOOA, Z008, Z00AD? I got totally confused!
What about custom kernels? I found a few: Project T, OctoDex, A.I.C.P., BeanStalk, XOSP

1) Yes, many users unlocked its bootloader. No, it isn't possible to relock bootloader, but you'll have a chance that your warranty will be still alive
2) Relocking on MM isn't possible, so if you want to relock you need to flash via RAW a lollipop os

I'm tired of the spying done by Google and Xiaomi with their bloatware, their applications that we can't stop or uninstall, that take permissions that we can't remove.
I would like to install a stock or custom ROM as long as it doesn't contain Google services (but with the possibility to install them if the need arises). I would also like to be able to root the phone (I don't use any payment service with my smartphone and it is no longer guaranteed).
My smartphone is a Xiaomi Redmi note 8 pro GLOBAL model M1906G7G (first version, not the 2021 version) which is running Android 11 with MIUI ROM v12.5.5.0.RGGMIXM and its firmware MOLY.LR13.R1.TC8.SP.V2.P57. It is already unlocked via miunlock.
I spent hours to read many posts here and also on other sites, but I confess that I am quite lost, between the too technical, too old or too specific; it is not easy to find there
I'm looking for precious advice from experts that I think I can find here without any problem
