Hi all,
I purchased a One X from eBay and it's got a custom rom on it which is horrendous - just keeps rebooting the phone etc. I'm trying to putting a stock rom back on (or just a better custom rom if it's easy enough to do) so I followed a tutorial I found on this forum for going back to ruu (there's no recovery image on the phone either).
Following those instructions I typed in 'fastboot oem lock'. Since doing that I've been stuck in the boot menu (it now refuses to load the rom that's installed and says 'relocked' at the top), and all I can do is switch between hboot and fastboot. If I run the correct ruu exe it just says it can't find the phone. Giving up on going back to stock I thought I'd just switch to a better quality custom rom but struggling with that as well..
I've just tried to reunlock the phone by following the instructions on htcdev.com, but when typing in fastboot oem get_identifier_token I get the following error:
ERROR: could not clear input pipe; result e00002ed, ignoring...
ERROR: could not clear output pipe; result e00002ed, ignoring....
...
ERROR: usb_write failed with status e00002ed
FAILED (command write failed (No such file or directory))
finished. total time: 0.000s
Infact, it appears to not be able to execute any fastboot commands!
What would you recommend the next step is? Is there any way out of this?

and also install the HTC drivers (if you didn't install them yet), after that you put the phone in the fastboot usb mode and open a dosprompt inside the fastboot folder and type
Fastboot devices
This should give the serial in return .... try this all first and we take it from there !
I am trying to pass a ROM action on my z2 to force, but the only feedback I have is this "FAILED (remote failure)" ... the script tries to flash but always the same command as response FAULT (remote failure) ... on my fastboot now appears "flashing_locked" ... the phone turns on but no network type works ... and when the cell phone starts the following message is displayed "your device has a different operating system load"

can somebody tell me what i did wrong or where to find a guide on how to root the m51 with magisk?
What i tried was
- install magisk manager
- copy m51's AP file onto phone and install magisk into it using the manager
- flash the patched AP with odin
But after the restart the phone was in a bootloop sometimes displaying a menu saying that the system image could not be loaded with options to try again or to factory reset...
Also tried with just the boot.img from the boot.img.lz4 in the AP, extracted it using 7zip and a lz4.exe i found on github, patched that but then when doing "adb reboot-bootloader && fastboot flash boot patched_boot.img" I get a:

fastboot: error: Command failed
Bootloader is unlocked, also tried with absolute path to patched file... really dont get it

After doing the wipe of System, Data , Cache and Davlik..., I tried to install another PixelExperience ROM and it has given me an error of format as soon as start the installation on the TWRP and when the tablet restarting again at FastBoot I try to enter in TWRP again but give me the following error.

I installed ui 4.0 triel version I faced some minor problems and would like to go back to ui 3.0 to wait for the stable version of ui 4.0 I used a tool OppoRealme-OFP-Flash_1.0-x64_Windows and I downloaded all roms I used everything and fastboot stuck
Until I experimented and put a recovery rate
These commands were used
1-reboot to recovery
boot booting device (blackscreen)
2-vol up+power butten sometimes
3-fastboot(reboot to recovery and wipe data
4- not booting devices loop fastboot\
5- open cmd type:
6-fastboot getvar current-slot
7-fastboot --set-active=a
7-reboot to recovery(wipe data)
8-reboot devices aftar wipe data 100%

go to fastboot connect you phone with your pc use the opporealmeofp flash tool and wait untill flash is done. After flash open cmd in adb folder and use the command
fastboot getvar current-slot
fastboot --set-active=a or b (if current slot a change it to b and if current slot b then change it to a)
