GPRS chap authentication - Windows Mobile Software Development

I am developing a embed program to dial-up to internet using GPRS.
As I had learn in the pc's dial-up program, the username and password
can be set blank, and It is said that the password is not necessary checked.
Then ,I want to know ,What message is pass to the CHAP MD5 process?
I had make some experiment, just use the 20 byte message recevie for
the server ,the result of MD5 is differ to the respond!
Is some thing that I don't know add to the message of the server or
the respond is just some radom bytes?

Exchange Server password

When my m2000 syncronizes with my pc it pops up with an exchange server password which i don't know, can anyone help me on how to stop it from popping up? :?
If it is asking you for an exchange server password, you must be tring to sync with a server. If you car not syncing with a server simply de-select this option in activesync.
If you are syncing with a server, your password will most likly be your network password, that you use to log on to computers, or retrive email.
you need to ensure your settings are correct. check with your system admin that your password is corect, and try typing in the domain name without the .com or what ever your company uses. also check the save password box.
without going in to to much detail, your user name can have several diffrent formats. ususal something like this DOMAIN\username or [email protected]. depending on the format you use for the username you may or may not need to make sure that the domain name box has the .com
I'll try that thanks

I'm also interested in this. Got a Exchange SP2 2003 here with an office mailbox and I want to sync. Can't figure out how to set up server/phone. I'm getting a certificate error or a message that it's not a correct exchange server. Although syncing with Pocket Internet explorer or on my laptop at home is no problem.
They are probably using 1 username/password for all the computers.
Just ask the network admin what it is so that you can put it in your phone.

Internet,GPS, and MMS For Metropcs

I flashed the new rom 6.1 from HTC for sprint and had to reflash back to metropcs. Now when I try to access the Internet I get and error message that says " Requested content ( to any website ) cannot be accessed. You don't have access to the site. Now I have the internet plan and I have done all the step from this site to configure the settings. Can someone Please help me to get the internet, gps, and mms back? Please
Did you try calling then because they may have re-initialize your phone.
Are you sure in the connection settings that you have the correct user name & password?
Yea I think so user name is my ten digit @mymetropcs.com and password is metropcs
Metro pcs internet settings
Are you able to access your "connections" settings?
Under connections chose manage existing connections.
Make sure it dials #777.
As with EVERY phone used on MetroPCS, set your username to [email protected]
The password can be anything or empty.
Now in proxy settings, make sure you check "this network connects to the internet" and "this network uses a proxy server to connect to the internet".
In it's advanced settings, enter wap.metropcs.net as the proxy address, then set HTTP, WAP and SOCKS to port 3128. Secure WAP to port 443.
Load Internet Explorer, in the url/address box enter the address you wish to load. It might fail, reload.. Make sure your data arrows show that you connected.
The page should load the 2nd time.. It almost always fails the first load.. Reason is posted on another thread, but it doesn't matter..
Have fun..

exchange set up

Hi all new here and got question regarding my new TP2, Im trying to setup my TP2 to sync with exchange but can not get it to work. I already inputted the username, password, domain, and also the OWA access information. My work's OWA address goes like this www.myjobaddress.com/extension , But after trying to sync it and when I check again it would just show www.myjobaddress.com without the "extension."
Is there a step-by-step guide somewhere? Is there anything else I need to do?
Thanks all in advance
yeah your server name in activesync shouldnt have the "extension". An Exchange server is an exchange server - with a FQDN: owa is a website residing at an addresss - sometimes with path after server name, not always, depends on the admin and the complexity of the setup.
i know that my owa address is waay diff than my activesync, etc server name.
Your admin or 3rd party provider should be able to give you a little config util that will setup your device properly, usually downloadable from a formatted txt msg. Or if you have access to your personal exchange control panel you should be able to get it from there - at the very least the correct info.
Hope this helps a little...
From what I've seen the OWA setup follows the standard as such webmail.company.com
It's been the same format in all the jobs I've had that had OWA access.
The other thing you can do is use Google Chrome, enter your OWA address then once it connects, on the new page that opens you can see the URL. It'll start with the format above.
The other thing you'll need is the domain name. And at times, that domain isn't the same as the company name. So you need to ask your Exchange admin.
All of this of course assumes your company is on Exchange 5.5 or 2007. If not you're not going to be able to get push email.
Thanks for the replies guys....I was able to get it to work. What I did was explicitly input this address "http://www.comanyname.com/exchange"
then just re-entered my username, password and domain. I had username in this format earlier "domain\username", I just removed the "domain" and entered just the username and it started syncing.
Thanks again guys

[Q] email issue after hardreset

So I just hard-reset my phone and I entered my email info (username and password) at the start of my phone. Now it keeps popping back up every 5 minutes or so wanting me to kinda reconfirm them, I get the Username and password. None of my emails will come thru. help?
I just hard-reset again and it still coming up it says "incoming email password, please cheat you username and password and try again"
I know my password is right Ive retyped it 12 times now, anyone have any ideas, I need my email for work!
I just tried my other two yahoo account, all the same thing
Could be your internet provider blocking port 25 (SMTP) or 110 (POP3)? Check what ports are you using in the incoming/outgoing mail server configuration and ask your ISP if those ports are blocked!
