xda2s stuck is serial mode - MDA III, XDA III, PDA2k, 9090 General

hello,
my xda2s is stuck in serial mode please can someone tell me how to get it out of serial mode?
Thank you.

I assumed you tried the soft reset hole and the hard reset (wipe out all data) mode (with power button held down)?

Yeah mine is stuck in the serial mode also. I have tried several different ways to reset it and in won't reset. I don't know if I'm doing it right or not, but I tried to do it by holding down the power and the soft reset button. Then I tried to hold down the camera, record, power, and soft reset buttons and it won't do it.
Please help me also to get it out of the serial mode
Thanks

I don't know if this will help. But I kinda face the similar problem.
My device also stuck in the serial mode while upgrading to the 1.08 Radio ROM.
It was switched to the serial mode by the upgarde software while checking the device ROM. Then it just stuck there forever.
Soft-reset and Hard-reset won't bail me out off the serial mode. And the upgrade software also got stucked on my PC.
What I did was to reboot my PC, replug my XDA IIs back to the craddle (while still in the serial mode) and reflash the ROM again. The second time was a success. The ROM upgrade was smooth and the device was able to get out off the serial mode after a soft reset.

Serial v2.07 screen (hard reset) Installing Radio 1.13

Unfortunately I am unable to hard reset my pda2k after upgrading the radio from 1.12 to 1.13.
The screen shows Serial v2.07. I have tried performing a full reset (power + soft reset), removing the battery and nothing works.
Does anybody have any idea what to in this case?
Thanks for your cooperation on this matter.
Nevermind - I solved the issue
Apparantly the BaUpgradeUt hang on the PC and never finished doing what it was supposed to do.
I kill the process, restarted the PC, launch it again and I was able to finish it.
You ever figure out a fix for this as I'm having the same issue.....It says serial and that's it, it won't boot past that.

Serial screen
kill the process on the PC, restarted the PC, launch the update again. That should do it.

Please Help SPV M5000

I've a problemi with my SPV M5000. After firmware upgrade, my device is stay in USB or Serial mode. I try hot and cold reset but no result? after few seconds it's back to USB or Serial Mode?

I assume when you say you have hard reset the phone you have held in both soft keys and pressed the reset button? If so, I would flash the phone again, something probably went wrong.

Major Problems after ROM upgrade attempt!!!

I just received my O2 Exec, and upgraded the ROM to the latest off the O2 Site. When prompted, I disconnected the device from the computer and did the reset. (Two soft keys plus reset button). The screen comes up and prompts to press "0" to load factory defaults. I press "0", and a message briefly appears...."clearing". Screen then goes blank.
I then tried to put it into bootloader mode, with no luck.
What can I do?
check
check to see if there is a faint "serial" written on the to of the blank screen (very faint can barely see it)
if so .... you are in bootloader mode

I checked a few times in very good light. The screen is blank.
Is there nobody that can help me? Please my new phone is dead. What can I try?
What I have already tried:
1. Will not go into boodloader mode.
2. When I do a hard reset, the screen show up, but does not continue to splash screen.
If it is going into a hard reset it should go into bootloader mode no problems. Hold down the power, backlight key and the reset button for about 3 seconds. Sometimes it doesn't enter bootloader with just a quick press.
When you have done this try re-flashing with a freshly downloaded copy off the FTP or somewhere else.

Bricked Diamond

Hi folks,
Can anyone help me?
I was using BSB 6.5L WM6.5 on my Diamond and i had some problems with that.
Mainly, my Diamond was "hard reseting" the manufactures settings everytime i turned it on.
So i decided to downgrade it to WM 6.1
At this point i started to have serious issues.
I installed Rom 1.93xx and just after the uptade, my Diamond froze in the first black screen (Touch Diamond and radio/Rom version).
Even if i do the hard reset, it freezes again in the boot screen.?
So, how could i go back to the Rom i was using before or install another one?
My Diamond is useless now... Hope someone can help me.
Thanks
should've used search, this is also a wrong forum for this topic.
with that said, power off the phone, press and hold power, volume down and reset until you see the tri-colour bootloader screen, connect the phone to your PC, you should be able to flash at this point.
do report back.

What technote said is incorrect, doing that will just cause it to try and read from the Internal Storage, what you want to do is what I did when I had the exact same problem;
With the phone on the frozen screen - make sure the USB cable is DISconnected, open ActiveSync/WMDC on the PC and in connection settings, disable USB connections. Now press the red reset button on the phone and as the phone is turning on (before it vibrates - 'touch Diamond' splash), you need to press Volume Down once, don't hold it. Just press it once. Now plug the USB cable in when the tri color screen appears, and Serial should be written near the bottom. Renable USB connections in ActiveSync/WMDC and then flash a ROM. All should work.
Thanks...
It worked flawlessly....

When i do this, it still keeps going to the splash. I reset, press vol down, and it continues to go to the splash. If i do it the other mentioned way, power, reset, vol down i get to the tri colour screen.
how to enter in bootloader = press volume down and reset simultaneous !
